  1. There are still places in the mid game where you can answer opinion dialogues to shift in one direction without using Learned Darian. Push to pro-Servile to join the Awaken and Takers before using him to ship back to the Obeyers is one way. The other is go pro-Shaper to join the Obeyers and then use him to join the Awaken and Takers. High leadership will allow you to avoid some quests to join that might alienate other factions or worse turn areas hostile by killing a leader.
  2. You can do it, but it is harder since you need to find a path that avoids getting into those fights.
  3. To get a good ending you need to leave Sucia Island. Being dead kind of prevents that. Good luck and try to stay alive.
  4. Just looked at my notes and GF2 has a mommy clawbug raising little ones in Clawbug Canyon. You are right that the more powerful ones weren't meant to reproduce so some like drayks were long lived.
  5. Some creations are made by nearby essence pools and spawners or Shapers that create them. You see the first of them in Watchhill. Most of the creations are the offspring of existing creations which was where most serviles come from although there is a zone where new serviles were made. The rule about using your own essence applies to creations you make and as an inexperienced Shaper you are limited to your own essence and can only make up to seven. With training that you never get you could make more, create them in combat, and use an essence pool. Welcome to Spiderweb Software. Please leave your sanity at the door.   8. The locate the rebels quest line starts with the merchant at the starting town in the southeast corner. You have to do the right dialogue opinion to advance the quest.
  9. Jeff is reusing the game world map from A:EftP which has it. Just to taunt you with the rest of Empire controlled areas like the Abyss. Khoth is one of the 5 great dragons left from the last game and he is significant in the rest of the series. So you get his story even without meeting him. Welcome to Spiderweb Software.   10. Extra spell levels increase damage for attack spells, increase duration for buffs and curses, and increase healing got healing spells and cures. Spellcraft does the same for all spells. To improve to hit chance you need morecjaracter levels, intelligence or items that have a to hit bonus and not a penalty (heavy armor). Each attack spell has a different Tobit base chance with is why some spells miss and others hit. Good luck.
  11. Since your creations don't lose levels if they die and are remade, it doesn't matter when you change zonas. Unless you get attached to it. Plants do grow on you.
  12. One problem that get fixed in the remake is the junk bag allows moving all the items you leave behind each time you move to a new location. Ingredients, quest items that you haven't found the person that wants them, or even spare armor and weapons all were too heavy to carry or used up inventory slots. You could easily do 2 or 3 trips just transferring them between islands. My complaint is this marked the end of the open world. Players could no longer explore wherever they could survive. Now you were trapped in an area until you fulfilled the quest that opened up the next section.
  13. Drypeak is an old failed colony with research labs that were abandoned years before. When you reach Drypeak you already encounter plant life running wild, but now it really will be mobile. The Upper Research Hall was for botany.
  14. According to the Walkthrough for the original game, there are two ways to het level 3 Move Mountains: both require you waiting on doing the Filth Factory to be able to get past the level 3 barriers. Not really worth waiting. Good luck. I remember once doing it.
  15. Master/servant makes sense in that before the adventure, Bilbo and later Frodo employ Sam as gardener for their property, Bag's End. It's a British class distinction with Merry and Pippin also being ones that are considered owner class and not ones that work. That they all treat each other as friends still has Sam considered as the worker through out the journey.

  17. In Avernum VI, Demonslayer is found in the Tower Colony on a body. The last user didn't fair so well.l Since you are in the remake trilogy, in Avernum: Escape from the Pit, in Fort Draco, Boutell the Blacksmith can repair it when you have all three parts.

  20. I remember some poison/diseases need more than one casting to work when you are low level. It's a matter of how many levels (damage and levels it lasts) are given versus how many you cure. Not sure about the monsters don't move to attack. Good luck.
  21. Guardians even without pets are fairly powerful. Their flaw is except for a few missile weapons: wands and crystals, they don't have an attack that can hit several foes at once like agents.
  22. It might be possible, but I can't see where it is in the save game files. You really aren't that far in the game and it goes faster since you know what to expect.
  23. You may have to go back to the Trench Town to get advice to advance the dialogue. I remember this as frustrating with the back and forth between towns to get the next step. You need to get a choice about being mad and useless from drinking the elixirs.
  24. Backers at a certain level: quest, artifact, character, get a design guide to help in understanding what to do. It gives information about the world and has some that wasn't mentioned in the original game like those serviles outside of the three factions now had a name.
  25. It's not so much that some spells need essence, but Shapers restrict what spells non-Shapers can learn. With training a human and later serviles can learn magic. Shola mages were from outside and therefore had independently learned more spells than Shapaers would allow within their lands.
