  1. You don't see Dominate (charm) for a long time. Another thing you can do is use Wrack after Daze so if you don't kill them quick enough they have a harder time hitting you and they have a chance of missing turns.
  2. Easiest is to dump loot into the junk bag and then return to a town and transfer from the junk bag, Pick two or three batons and their thorns so you only us unto 6 slots. Eventually you only need spray baton and one other type, The only crystals to have are spray crystal (acid), airshock (stun), and sometimes blest (fire) since icy doesn't do enough damage after 15 zones. Discipline wand for daze and jeweled wand fro stun are most useful. Terror means you have to chase down healing foes and pacification isn't as effective as Wrack.
  3. Usually when you first spot foes start buffing and if you are fast enough you can do all three before combat starts. War blessing will help the most to deal damage, then speed for the chance of extra hits The most important thing is what bonus abilities you gave your creations. All of them should have the 5 extra levels so they hit better, do more damage, and have more health. Give them all area attacks and hardiness. Cryoas getting Frost Aura can do damage to nearby foes even when they don't attack, You didn't mention difficulty level ,but after combat starts spread out your party so you can do overlapping area effect attacks and you are less likely to have all of your party hit at once.
  4. Fixed and I'm still in the process of updating the entire post to v1.0.1.
  5. I used a really old description, but the +25% was there about a month ago.
  6. It just means you need to better position your party or use roamers with Fiery Wind so you can never hurt your own party on higher difficulties.
  7. Agents get Airshock with that insane damage bonus from Battle Magic which can reach over 200%. Once you get that you can get through pylons with no fear and take out large groups.
  8. It is a new addition to the mysteries of Sucia Island and seems like it will be a a new canon plot point in the remakes.
  9. From actually playing a torment missile guardian with v1.0.0 and now v1.0.1, reaper batons are best used to take out pylons and for endgame single targets. You don't need to invest in stealth to destroy pylons in two shots at the Eastern Docks and crossing the Mines. In the Shaper Crypt you can do pylons in one or two shots. Spray batons are for groups where you trade a lower damage for the ability to hit several targets at once like the Front Gate or groups in the Shaper Crypt. Note these are all places where you don't want to get up close to avoid damage to yourself. Having twice as much missile weapon skill to melee works fine in most places, Sure you kill things faster with more melee weapon skill, but when you are facing things with high mental and/or stun resistance, you don't have the chance to fight them one at a time. For instance the Guarded Docks.
  10. I did a solo Agent and Guardian play throughs on Torment difficulty. There are some nasty areas, but if you go through in a different order than playing with creations then it isn't as hard as you might think. It helps to join the Awakened to get the training from Swan in Ellhrah's Keep. Play to your strengths. An Agent relies on spells and a Guardian relies on weapons to get through most fights. Some zones are easier with enough leadership to recruit NPCs or avoid nasty fights like at the Geneforge. However I did do one where I waited until the Sealed Lab to get my first free point in Leadership, then got the Girdle of Leadership, trained in Drayk's Vale, before putting a point into it and going back for free skills from Leadership of t. This was harder, but still possible. It helps to get Mental Magic in the Tombs and then increase it to 3 as a Guardian so you can use Dominate to charm battle creations in endgame fights.
  11. There are 3 canisters with 2 of them always useful to any character. This place has the most living tools for a zone and if you start at a beat Mechanics 4 you can do this zone. There are some other items if you are a guardian. Most are in the core area.
  12. Fire Creation leap attack ends with a melee attack so that makes sense to use Strength.
  13. Increase the middle column - Ward Mastery and Focus Mastery in tier 2 will decrease damage by increasing armor and resistances in the Ward and absorbing magical damage to recharge Sorceress in Focus.
  14. It doesn't matter what else you do in the zone, these are rare appearance creations. They appear in areas with bone and skull on the ground. Crag Valley - Benttooth the Roamer Thorny Woods - Warped Fyora Pentil Plains - Ancient Artila Servile Outpost - Charged Artila Dry Wastes - Vengeful Spirit Wooded Valley - Roamer Firefang Freeplace - Ur-glaahk
  15. Equipment usually increases damage unless it has some other bonuses. Eventually you will find or be able to buy better equipment. If you have been increasing Dexterity, then avoid getting into melee and try to kill from a distance. Dexterity and Endurance will help you evade getting it. There are also augmentations to equipment that will increase those stats and increase evasion in general. Always improve armor to reduce damage, Also improve the middle column skills on all characters to improve damage and reduce what damage you get. The bottom left skill increases damage too. Try to talk to everyone to get quests for money and other rewards. Eventually you will get enough money, but it is tight in the beginning.
  16. Bentttoth the blue roamer appears very rarely in the west corner in the bones and skulls area west of the ruins.
  17. I only saw that behavior one time with a battle creation in the v1.0.0 released game. I have seen with a few other creations that it moves a tile, but doesn't attack anything.
  18. All coffins only work if you have no point, 0. s in the skill they train in. This includes wearing items like the Carnelian Gloves when you look at the one for Mental Magic or Roamertooth Band for Missile Weapons or Quick Action. These are meant to give you the skills that your classes lacks, but some of them can be gotten by canisters like Magic Shaping in Pentil.
  19. Jeff said in his recent Reddit Q&A that he plays on normal difficulty. He has beta testers for harder difficulties, not many of them, but they figure out exploits to get through and then Jeff removes them. Avernum 5 was the game where Jeff wanted more than a save game before or during a difficult fight. He wanted to know how the beta testers were getting through the fight which wqs the elimination of having augmentation and essence shield to increase health. Then there were the limits in summoned creations in Avernum, Avadon, and Queen's Wish where players could keep summoning creations until the fifth was over, there was no more screen space to put another, or you ran out of spell energy. But Jeff did change higher game difficulties to have different abilities and not just multiply all stats and let the players face a battle of attrition to see who could outlast the other.
  20. There is a roamer canister in the Spiral Burrow that requires nothing but killing some things in the way. The clawbug and vlish canisters are to the east so you won't see them for a while. Although the Tombs is a shortcut to them. You found out that zone cleared and monster free are different things.
  21. Investing in only one shaping class makes your creations more over powered and have better to hit chances. The third tier creations do more damage than first tier creations, but you lack the essence until using the Geneforge to replace them all. Searing artila with the acid attack tends to be more useful than fire creations and you've seen what the glaahks can do. Cryoas and cryodrayks with frost aura will damage nearby enemies even when they can't attack from daze and stun. The damage is significant at the end,
  22. Turn in Nabb and you can't talk to the next Taker spy you encounter. However this doesn't affect you relations with the Takers and you turn in the quest in the Kazg area.
  23. You pretty much have to trigger one mine (bottom right) in the south section to reach the next spore box, so essence shield, protection, and lots of health helps here. After that you can reach the next spore box on the west side and then the door. This options requires lots of leadership and mechanics.
  24. Queen's Wish is the only series where you should be able to import a character from a previous game. Using leadership only works if you hen['t used a dialogue option related to the choice that will give it.. For instance talking to Khobar about looking for a boat or buying the War Bleesing canister from Dreet instead of waiting to using leadership to get it for free.
