  1. Agents get to use spells for range attacks so they don't need to hunt for ammunition and can do area effect attacks to deal with swarms. They have lower costs for training in buffing spells to keep them having extra damage, defense, and action s. They have lower cost to gain levels in daze and chamr, spells to reduce attacks from the enemy. In the original game they could more easily exploit moving in and out of attack range in the round to deal damage and avoid it
  2. Jeff made the game for Shapers and wanted any player class to use Shaping of creations. Guardians are still tough enough even on torment difficulty to get through the game. You can play both the original and current version without even needing a sword, by just punching creations with a fist in melee. So it's more of player tactics making the difference. Agents were always overpowered, although Jeff eliminated some exploits from the original version.
  3. Only if you want to use the merchants or haven't gotten a quest reward. Once you take out a leader, then the faction zones are usually hostile. Killing some faction leaders is a way to join another faction.
  4. The code only affects a few dialogue situations. Mostly at the start Miranda can mention your past reputation if you get to the right dialogue section. Sutter is another one depending on what you said to him at the end of the first game. Good luck with the game and don't really worry about it.
  5. Saved games are usually saved in a different folder than the game so they shouldn't be lost when changing the game. Don't know about the operating system. good luck.
  6. Clicking on the button on the top left closes the map or character list. Clicking on the top bar lets you move it to a different position on the screen.   9. Some doors open to release creations protecting the zone as you move through it.
  10. I've gone with one-handed and shield for the bonuses on the shield. Comat usually lasts several rounds so having defense makes up for extra damage.

  12. It depends upon the game. Pretty much use too many and you get angry at dealing with idiots. Geneforge 1 - Mutagen requires you to use one canister to open the door in the Docks to play the game. Bothe versions of Geneforge 1 give different dialogue when you use more than a certain number of canisters and if you use the Geneforge. Geneforge 2 and 3 both change dialogue above a certain number. Geneforgre 4 require you to use a modified Geneforge to play the game. Also changes dialogue above a certain number. Geneforge 5 doesn't really matter since only a few places changed the dialogue.
  13. The sooner you get to 4, the less lock picks you need and the more loot you can access to help you. This means not needing to buy up every one you can so you can use the money for other things. Also some places you want to get through without going back later to complete looting. The item to get to 5 isn't available until much later in the game Good luck.

  15. Skil points are capped at level 20 in this series. Your other stats: health and energy still increase.
  16. Did you go to the Tower of Erudico and use the crafting anvil to unlock it? You also have to devote resources there that you find.
  17. Almost all thereat testers are for normal or veteran difficulty. There are now maybe 2 or 3 torment (nightmare) difficulty testers left since Jeff has few game buyers that play at that difficulty. As long as it is possible , that's good enough. The Pentil Words has always been an extremely hard zone on normal difficulty going back to the original version. That's why you get the hint from a servile in the previous zone to hug the edge going through the zone. Not that the previous zone is much better when roamers converge on you. The best strategy has always been to crop forward, pick off a valise and retreat out of the zone if you get the message that it calls fr help. You have the same problem in other Geneforge games going through a vlish zone.
  18. Game balance feedback is divided into: Nothing - No problem encountered. Nothing - I quit playing because it was too hard. Somrthing was wrong with the game here. Something was wrong with a script here - usually rising punctuation so it won't continue to the next command. It's too hard with no reason. It's too hard with a reason. I can"t figure out what to do here. The boss monster is a wimp. - Make it harder. (my favorite) Jeff usually ignored the last unless the boss monster wasn't suppose to die here.
  19. All I can remember is you need to do 2 of the 3 missions from some one in the Castle to unlock the next area.

Cheat code in Shift-D box to get the boat back to earlier position, but it also resets all the other boats like the one you probably used to get there. resetboats - Returns all boats to their starting positions. Boats you previously purchased will no longer be your property. Use the backtostart cheat if this strands you somewhere. welcome to Spiderweb Software. Please leave your sanity at the door.   21. Claim the Mines required turning all 4 mine zones free. The lower three are cleared when you cross from one side to the other. The Mine Core (north zone) required dealing with the two battle alpha creations guiding the north end by either fighting or leadership Destroying pylons isn't needed. Inner Crypt required two different Thahds in different zones dropping what you need to get past the door.
  22. Valyra moves around so you may not have seen when looking. Basically tells you that the gloved need to be charged and each charge improves them. You find out later there are only 3 places to charge and each can only be used once.
  23. No special item. Did you talk to Erud Fa.’ Alis to get information about Upper Icegate?
  24. The monster is always by the same nest each time, but I don't know whether the game checks each time you enter if you keep reloading the zone or if you have to have some time between checks.
