  1. Join the Awakened or Takers. You can sneak into Tovio's archives in the south corner of Kazg and learn a level. There are other places and people that can teach too.

  3. Nothing when you complete the game before the Event. I never played through after the Event without doing it, but I do know if you are up north that you kept getting nagged about it.
  4. Dominate when it works help greatly, but I have had it fail too often there. Works best against Trajkov's creations and Goettsch.
  5. This zone is much harder than the original game. But there are two non combat methods for getting through here. Feeding the servant mind and with leadership 5 you can get it to provide a diversion or using a red spore baton you can sneak through. It's a tough fight and I've never had it go well without losing lots of creations. Welcome to Spiderweb Software. Please leave your sanity at the door. It's the price you pay for playing these games.

Boots of Dancing are an old cursed item from Dungeons and Dragons and there was a similar mage spell ,Otto's Irresistable Dancing, that had the target shuffling and not in a good way during combat. Quicksilver Boots give the same amount of evasion and some haste if you aren't interested in the extra missile weapon damage.
  7. Currently I am level 18 with gear and have Strength 4, Agility 10, Melee Weapons 10, Missile Weapons 16, Quick Action 9, and Evasion 11. Gear includes Guardian Cloak, Agent's Shelter, Arcane Band although I might go back to Zavor's Ring, Girdle of Nimbleness, and Dancing Boots (+2 Agility)
  8. The Gloves after 2 charging pools are about equivalent to a steel sword with the benefit of daze and fully charged seem to be equivalent in damage to the best swords with the benefit of scum. It's hard to be sure without massive statical analysis since you can't see the numbers, Doarazad pool is sometimes easier to visit than the clawbug guarded one. I like them and I'm in the endgame as a Guardian on torment. However I use batons more often because of the unstable creations and pylons. Plus unless they come into melee I don't want to spend the action points chasing them down and losing a possible second attack.
  9. Intelligence helps with most ability attacks except Earthquake which for some reason is tied to Dexterity.
  10. He's hiding out in the woods so you have to explore several zones to find him.
  11. If you don't help a Hand do a personal quest the way the want, then they won't help you at the very end. This may be significant depending what you decide to do. You needed to do most equipment changes in Avadon before the Hand quest because that is the only place to shift scarabs and it is easier to give them equipment without filling up all your slots. There are two different Shaman builds. A combat (left side skills) and a creation version (right side skills) so it depends upon you playing style. Best available items that they can use for armor and weapons. Some players just use Shamans as a support character to provide healing.

  13. Jeff confirmed that when I asked on ,a Pacifist run. It has been done on torment, but no mention of what was needed and how much more needs to be skipped. Torment difficulty pacifist
  14. They mostly drop items, but I still haven't seen what the Vengeful Spirit will drop and the others don't alway drop something.
  15. Level 4 Sholai language gets you a Medal and you get experience in most places where you learn the language.
  16. I wait until level 10 on normal and level 12 or 13 on torment difficulty just so there is a decent to hit chance to do the entire zone. The only reason to do the Ascended Labs is to avoid a fight in Barrens Outpost that gives no experience or loot. It also starts two new quest lines.
  17. There are some early areas that you just can't attack without thought. I know I had to change the order I did zones because you can't do them like original Geneforge. I think /Jeff tweaked the game AI because some zones now have the creations swarming together to attack instead of staying farther apart. So /I'm now seeing 7 acid spewing iron claw bugs in the Dry Wastes at once instead of 2 r 3.
  18. It's just there waiting to be hooked up to something. It is a repair shop.
  19. Is is not a bug because those are a vlish and arthropods. You have tow choices here: fight or sneak past to the building to the east by going along the bottom edge. I prefer fight for the experience because it gets tougher soon .
  20. You can easily get surrounded because Sholai and creations can leap over obstacles to a target. If enough leap next to the target they can flank or completely surround. The not being able to increase the Player Character (PC) to hit chance makes the game harder than previous games. That encourages using creations because they can increase to have a better to hit chance than the PC. Most of the time it doesn't make a difference unless you are fighting a boss or some Sholai.
  21. It only happens on harder difficulties that you can have friendly fire. That big mental resistance bonus usually helps you out when surrounded and have to include yourself. This has been the way for recent games.
  22. Armor and items are the only things that increase resistances. Stats do nothing and you start with a base 70% mental resistance.
  23. It sounds like that save file had corrupted data that was causing the crash.
  24. There should have been a cloak dropped. but no quest reward.
  25. You could just have hit a streak where the misses occur normally At 95% to hit chance, I've seen 4 and 5 times in a row not hitting from my side.
