Well-Actually War Trall Spidweb Posted May 9, 2012 Share Posted May 9, 2012 The forums were hacked. He/She/They/It inserted a nefarious script that effected every page the forum made using php. We had to reinstall UBB from scratch to get rid of it. Many thanks to the moderator Aran for his timely and knowledgable assistance. The problem has been fixed and the posts/membership survived, but we did lose our forum customization. (When I visited it shortly after the hacking, Firefox claimed that it employed an unreadable form of compression, and Opera rendered the page as a bunch of Unicode gobbledygook. Simply changing it to reflect the new URL scheme fixes nothing. Also the new URL scheme seems to have like eight ways to view a topic. I might have a crisis if I can't see member numbers. Members can choose to be hidden on the Who's Online list (this seems to have been changed to the default), but you can see them anyways if you click on the more detailed list.
