If it's music I'm sure it was Rothfuss, but if it was magic school days, I'm really fuzzy. The tropes are thick there, these days. Ahh, I am now a happy man. I guess I'll be off to the bookstore in the next week or so.
  2. Jeff's system for dialogue gives certain options when different members are with you. It's quite reasonable to expect a few hiccups.
  3. I do believe that Miranda gets reincarnated in Avadon. Uh oh, I think I just opened a rather nasty can of worms.
  4. 1. I think the problem is better, if not fixed. The game forces you to be fairly linear, and a number of quest areas aren't available at all until you have at least one quest for the area. 2. Sometimes I am able to press 1 (or 2 or 3) to center on that character. Alas, it doesn't always work. I haven't quite figured out how the system works.
  5. Goodness, stop talking about the game as a whole until I finish playing it! I need another sick day...
  6. Is the number 220 before or after taking into account a skill of 4?
  7. To get any resolution, you have to work your way through greater dialogue with the wretch before returning to Halrik. There will be options in the wretch dialogue that cue Halrik's response.

That said, I'm not a fan of Rand, but I haven't read more than one (maybe) of her books.
  9. I have been taking the same two with me (well, I had been, until school interfered with Avadon as a whole). Still, whenever I come back, I outfit the idle members with whatever is best for them, so long as it doesn't hurt my primaries.
  10. Nothing is perfect. I'm sure we could come up with a situation in which anything is deadly. A wind turbine could break off and smash your house. I guess wind power is the work of the devil.

  15. Jeff: In the Jhereth's Deep, the trapdoor just a little below Zephyrine (marked H on your map) appears in the automap, but the actual game just has a blank floor. I have screenshots if you'd like. Running v1.0.1 on a PowerBook G4, OS 10.5.8

Something to do with the exasperation of the guy who made it. I downloaded MacTeX or something, but never bothered to figure it out.

  19. Ok, so what is worth selling? I'm one of the players who holds on to every potion, scroll, wand, and even enchanting crystal. Lately (end of major quest 3), I found myself burning through some of the wands just to kill minions faster and clear inventory space.

  21. I have the same gripe as the OP. Avadon likes to default everyone to their melee weapon after a fight ends.
