  3. The difference between "that" and "which" in this case is just technical. "That" is to be used when the following clause is necessary for the identification of the object taking the modification; "which" is used after a comma when the clause is not necessary. Am I right, Slarty?
  4. There is a switch on the top and left side of the door with the "blue balls."

  8. Where are you at, Eph? Is it your or Niemand who is in Wisconsin. Also, we ended up getting season 1 of the Big Bang Theory. It's quite excellent.
  9. James Bond marathon? Where! We typically go bowling at some point during the day. That and eating, that's what we do.
  10. Sigh, if time was of no issue, I would be jumping on this. Unfortunately, that is not the case, and I will have to wait to get the game and wait even longer to play it.

  13. Not to gross anyone out, but that's totally true, duct tape removes warts. My family is a living testament to that. We covered my brother in duct tape and he disappeared!

Also, when my class tried to use microphones to record audio at school, we had more problems than you can shake a stick at. Well, I suppose I'll go ahead and put this on my Christmas list now. Or rather, my December Presents Day list.
  15. What system are you on? Computer? OS? Game Version? Graphics Card?
  16. Yet another reason to continue using mac.
  17. So I've decided to invest in an external number pad for my laptop, as entering data in for physics labs is just a royal pain. I looked around first on Amazon to see what I could find for under $15, and this seems to be the best for my price range. My only concern is that I'm on a mac. Does anyone know if that'll give me any trouble, and does anyone have a suggestion for a different pad?
  18. Code: Java 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_26-b03-376-9M3263) Java HotSpot Client VM (build 1.5.0_26-156, mixed mode, sharing)
  19. I'm downloading that now. The reason I'm confused is because I always upgrade Java with Software Update as soon as it comes out, so I would imagine that if Apple had released 1.6 for leopard, I would have it. EDIT: So I tried to install Java update 5, and it told me that I already had a newer update, being update 8, which I installed yesterday.
  20. I'm on Leopard (10.5.8). The software developer says that's the newest system I need for the software. EDIT: I'm on a PPC processor, if that makes any difference. Skimming around other sites, I think it does.
  21. So I tried to install the West Point Bridge Design software, since we've been using it in school. I downloaded the 2010 version of mac, got everything installed, and ran the application. And then a window appears telling me that no compatible version of Java 1.6+ can be found. I have the latest version of Java, according to Software Update. So, does anyone know how to solve my problems?
  22. It could be that gunk has piled up in the mouse over the years. Have you tried cleaning out any exposed crevices around the buttons?
