I think jeff really needs to make the 3rd game with a crazy, sadistic lunatic for one of the npcs. I mean most of the hands in game just do as they are told and maybe do a few rebellious acts. Whatever happened to chaotic realism? In other games some npcs will kill people, backstab the party, kill other party members and do other depraved acts. We need at least 1 or 2 psychos in game as it makes more sense. You should be able to convince sevelin in the first game that he would gain ultimate and his honor back if he attacked miranda or red beard. How awesome would it be to go find him attacking and killing miranda late in game. The hands all have soiled minds, its now a matter of polluting those minds with even more debauchery. I would say at this point the Avernum characters you create have better life stories and are generally more tough than any of the characters including the player character in Avadon 1 and 2

I didn't much like this sequel. The 1st game I could get through but I am really a Geneforge fan at heart. If the game gives me a few problems then I delete it from hard drive and move on. I also don't really like very very long battles which irks when you get a few moves wrong. I'd prefer medium battles where 1 move you die-less time. If King Vogel can make another game like Geneforge then I am all for it. As for all other games they can't compare with Planescape Torment and Baldurs Gate at least in my book.

Deathknight1728 Im going to have to go through his computer when we get back. He was talking about a short story book of childrens stories that he was finishing up. The stories were about his life in a fantasy setting with fictional characters. I dont know exactly what each story is about but a few of the evil creatures in story sound like bullies in school that were abusing him for 5 years. He usually would add a moral at the end of each story on kindle. When Dave first started intermediate school all he could talk about was getting a nice girlfriend and living happy. After the bullies got through with it, he had nothing left and he never told anyone but me. It was over by then and then 3 years ago he lost his best friend who joined the military. I wish I could have helped as he was the best man I know and best brother as well. He enjoyed the spiderweb forums and Im sure he is playing Avadon 2 in heaven. Im going to assemble what stories he had and try and make a book with what we have. I cant place it on kindle though because it's not me. The family is screwed with that regard and too bad as the stories I read were good.

My brother just died last night and I thought that everyone on the forums would like to know as he wont be coming back. He suffered from depression, paranoia, and hallucinations for a large amount of his life and had a terribly bad early life which we found out about just a month ago. We found out that he was beaten for 5 years when in highschool and suffered from some severe back complications. He didn't tell anyone in the family about this and preferred to keep stuff to himself. He always wanted to get a girlfriend, treat her well and live a good regular life but he lacked any real confidence and thought that he was worthless. Recently he seemed extremely worse than usual. Me and the my father came down to his house he was living at worried and found him on the floor. Its just me and my 3 sisters now. As sad as this seems, I came on this forum tonight to make sure his forum name is put to rest. Thanks for your consideration and I hope that you can play Avadon 2 and enjoy it as he would have. Im staying away from games for awhile until this is over but cracking jokes and making a fool of myself is what I enjoy so I will continue that. Should I message a Moderator about his forum name.

I am trying to contain this madness but don't know what to do. Craig "The Pedant" Stern has broken the rules of the pact. He is playing through Avadon 2 right now without everyone else being able to. This betrayal stinks like a thadh without weeks of bathing! Did Stern do something I didn't to be able to play before its out? Is stern trolling?

The only way to destroy spiderweb is to get jeff to stop blogging for 2 consecutive years. He obviously is back at it so you can't damage the pylons until he is off. Even I know that and I never went to harvard.

alright, so I did a little research and came upon a consultant who helped me clear up the confusion. It turns out that erika might have originally had an affair with hawthorn which would make sense. The thing is that she won't give any more info as to why. As long as she never had an affair with Grah Hoth, thats what counts. The consultant that lent aid was none other than Benvenuto Cellini, a master demon-historian who has been around for every known event in history both fantasy and historical. I should be alright with future guidance.

Would things change if Emperor Hawthorn was somehow related to my wife erika? I am not saying it could get worse but if that was the case then we'd have some things to discuss. Might make for an interesting middle saga gap. Just a thought for the interlude when the 2nd game comes out in 2014. In other news, I think I need to consult with a professional script writer. Its very true that the events shared existed for a brief moment. Enough of that moment made it so surreal that it is now fact. I already beat all the Geneforge games but seeing as I haven't purchased Nethergate as it isn't on gog, Im buying it on steam! Follow in example, lead and victory is a reality. Where did Erika go?

A lot of you know erika as a valiant mage and a disgruntled Dirgesinger who cøuldnt stop mixing mandrake root and drinking ogre grog. But I know her as a husband and a friend. I could not stop my valiant adventures soon enough and decided to continue as life with my wife. But all was not well. I decided that I needed more protection. I cast an exsanguination spell on the nearest ogre's arms and made him an ally. Without the use of his arms he was as useless as spit. But with enough grog and enchantments, he would be an excellent ally. No one would fear an ogre without arms but I know too well that this one's head was hard as a rock. Excellent for ramming, much like the thahd-like warriors of old. While living with Spineshank the ogre, they had an easy life of peace. But eventually peace is not enough. With exsanguination magic present in erika's calculations, she soon discovered a threat in Avernum. A threat? How? They took out the trash with Grah Hoth years ago and Sstthhss was more dead than a brahmin-burger....medium radiated So it turns out that I would be needed to accompany milady erika of awesome sauce on a journey to fight grah hoth's uncle or something. But why the heck would I have to do that. How many family members does this guy have? Do I have to pigstick each one when they come flying out of antarctica? Answer-I don't know how many uncles or former roommates Grah Hoth has. But one thing I do know-erika is full of awesome and my quest isn't over. So now its time yet again to become the human trash compactor with my sword. A blender of death to enemies. What will happen with me and my dear erika? You will find out once Avernum 2 Crystal Souls comes out. All games are not created equal, all avernum games are epic awesomeness and you should only fill more money to spiderweb's account. When Avernum 2 Crystal Souls is out I will reveal more of my dear erika of lamancha. Until then, only avernum awesome sauce comments here.

My favorite is this- 1-Catapult Swordsman-Strong melee fighter with hardiness and gymnastics makes him into catapult. He can flip and twist and turn like a catapult. From there he destroys the enemy. 2-Attorney Bard Dervish-This one is one of my favs. You take a character that is usually the first one to go, give somewhat decent dexterity but pump the rest into endurance. Get endurance so high with hardiness that you take the enemies on him. From there the catapult swordsman can attack. This character does not fight, he just tells bad jokes and tries to convince that they are funny taking the aggro onto him and off of your allies. If you lose in battle then the attorney bard dervish failed convincing the enemy. 3-Ultra mage spellcaster-Just what you would think. This character has some priest spells but mostly is just a juggernaut of damage. 4-Either a ultra priest or I can choose to just go with 3 characters. With less characters more experience.

Back to school, Where I act a fool. Wahhh!!! Wait a second. I act like a fool normally both in school and out of it.

The war has already begun. Yes that's right. Redbeard should have been here on September 1st as that is fall, as will my enemies. Even if that isn't fall, I just changed it so it is. You cannot run away from me Jeff, my methods are convoluted and are simple butchery compared to yours! The only thing you can do is release the hounds and let Redbeard come out from behind that curtain. Basically from those that don't know what Im saying-Release the game already. Me and R Kelly are waiting in anticipation.

They are not human and they have strange noses or at least holds true in later games. That guy in New York City thats running for mayor has an unnaturally big nose. Does that mean that he is a servile?

Also if he used the gene forge he would gain more navigating skills for when he sails away. The only problem is if he charts on the wrong course, he will get angry and crash the boat in the rocks. The gene forge is supposed grant intelligence and power but also impairs judgement. He might also destroy the crew with a high lvl searer in anger of charting off course. Another reason I would never use the gene forge....except in the 4th game that is.

But the problem is that Trajkov is much worse. He travels to a hidden island from across the sea with strange boats. He's basically Columbus. Traveling across the sea with strange boats. The strange boats are the nina the pinta and the santa maria. Once he gets there he takes advantage of the situation. He makes trades with savages who are in reality the serviles or would be indians. Instead of giving them poisoned blankets he uses the gene forge to make him a god. From there the serviles or indians strength is tapped and he can do whatever he wants. This doesn't happen though as my shaper lets his roamers bite him before he can. The similarities are almost too close and every time I have to fight him its like a history lesson all over. Columbus is a bad guy but Trajkov is almost worse.
