Well, maybe the "Good Old Games" they could find were limited, so they kinda started adding up some recent successful sequels of the original old games. One such example is The Witcher 2. Well, if you want a game that's near-realistic, the best we could get is real life, it's free, but a thousand times harder than dark souls 2 there's only one save file for every character. At least it does run in ultra settings without trouble, no lags and yes. While Skyrim is a decent game, it's flawed. this is priceless ^^ But you can still create new maps in Skyrim's CK, althugh only a few have risen, like "Falskaar", which was made in a span of a year by a guy who wanted to be a game developer. I do agree that people concentrate more on creating godly badass armors, or rebalancing the game, or those trying to turn skyrim into graphically realistic lands rather than map-making.

YES!!! As much as I hate watching, I do recommend anime if you've got nothing better to do. A fair warning though, watching a single episode will make you realize that you're in the endless loop of the space-time continuum of anime addiction.

Tried GIMP, then Photoshop. They have quite similar controls, but I'm far more familiar with Photoshop because we used to study that in our computer classes. With GIMP, not much, since I only used it once when I tried making a simple comic animation, and it was decent enough I suppose, for creating animations, but for effects, I used Photoshop. I assume you can use GIMP for effects too, but I haven't tried it. Since you're a beginner, GIMP > Photoshop, it's free anyway. No, I mean GIMP is free, not Photoshop. Then there's also Paint.net, but I haven't taken a look at it yet, I'm no longer doing this kind of thing. ;-; But I do remember seeing that Paint.net is somewhat like Paint with some Photoshop tools in it, has user-friendly UI and good for beginners. So... Photoshop < GIMP < Paint.net? Your choice.

Damn, I forgot what I specifically wanted. So I was thinking about a program that stores your "chosen" data into a different hard drive partition (idk what it is, correct me if I'm mistaken) such as Local Disk (D:) or something so it won't be affected by the recovery's purging. But it seems those kinds of programs don't exist *shrugs* And methinks I cannot convince dad to buy an SSD unless it's for educational purposes *double shrugs* Meh, I might just copy my Geneforge save games to an 8 gig usb then play them whilst I redownload the games, if I ran out of options.

Title says it all ^^ So I've been thinking of starting from scratch again, I've modified the registry, possibly doing a bunch of mess I can't remember. Plus, all of the junk that has probably accumulated from its years of use. Defragging is quite easy, so is using /sfc scannow command, but even though I did my best to clean my laptop, I still don't feel it is purely rid of dirt, and a once small part of my mind, which now grew to a larger size kept telling me that I should use the factory reset. So I've been rethinking this since the past few months: I want to reset my laptop to the point where I first brought it to life, but I don't want to lose some specific folders, (e.g. steamapps and such). So, is it possible to reset the laptop to default without changing specific files or folders? Or buying an SSD as a last resort. Why? Because I've wanted to upgrade to Windows 8.1 without carrying the crap files to the upgrade. Anyway, thanks to all who would help.

I lockpicked his chest and stole his items merely for roleplaying as a bandit. I also took the items that was piled on the floor, yet he still isn't attacking me, nor refusing to speak to me. Are all npcs programmed not to attack the pc if there aren't any guards around or just a certain number of them? Will I also get a bad reputation like stealing his stuff and going back to the town then surprise attack?
