  1. Sure, but come on... Bjorn? I still think it's funny.

  3. Didn't we end up discovering that Bjorn, the guy who built the Halls of Chaos in Avernum 2, was the name of a guy who made some music for one of Jeff's games?
  4. Given the fact that an unaugmented servile can not shape, it must be genetic. The question is whether or not all human have that gene when they are born.
  5. Do the Spire and Oasis still go hostile if you're there to sabotage, even if you are the sneakiest you can possibly be?
  6. I know *i said not to post the map from the manual, so I took a shot from my game instead. Hope it's okay for me to do that. Southwest Terrestia.
  7. Vempele is kind of correct. I did forget the Keeper's name was Tycho and thought it was Crenshaw. He surrendered too you and asked you to let him go, so it seemed like it might have been the same guy, you know? I think one of the stranger things Jeff did with names was change the one mage's name in Avernum 3 from Jordan to Bojar. Jordan wasn't exotic enough for him, I guess. True, but it did make him memorable. Bojar sounds too much like Bjorn, the guy who designed the Halls of Chaos. Hmm, I hope I can remember all the names on my history finals as well as I can for these games.
  8. A bit off topic: I don't suppose this is the same Crenshaw who had that dell back in Geneforge 4, is it? I know Jeff reuses names from time to time, but usually not within the same series and usually not with semi-major characters.
  9. I apologize for the confusion. Akrovan implied that Shaper Erika was the one organizing the wiki. Either way, I look forward to contributing as soon as my finals are over.
  10. Oh, dear. I'm afraid 'Shaper Erika' isn't really a newcomer at all. I hope this doesn't cause too much trouble for the new wiki.
  11. Sorry, I guess Nebulon is simply a more common spelling. Google thinks so, at least. Plus, it's a bit tough to tell with your current name.

I was merely saying that this person was a good choice. Better than Khyryk, I think.
  13. He is replaced as leader of the Trakovites by someone whom I believe to be at least as interesting as he was, so don't worry. It's a familiar face, too!
  14. The ones listed in the Geneforge 5 hintbook are as follows: healmenow - heals you and your group shieldsup - blesses you and your group rechargeme - recharges essence and energy exitzone - removes you from current zone and brings up map unless you are in a dungeon that is not on the map, in which case you end up in Minallah (though I always seem to end up in the Promenade) pleaselikeme - towns forget your crimes, unless you killed a major character or stole a major artifact iamweak - gives a bit of experience iampoor - gives some money clearthisarea - clears the area you are currently in giveasnack - gives you some cake (not a lie) showmeall - everyone appears on automap dontshowmeall - turns off showmeall iloverebels - gives you good rebel reputation ihaterebels - gives you good shaper reputation
  15. I evaded the patrol at the Nodye Gate, the one in Kaz, and I even explored a bit in the Gaziki-Uz lab without being aligned with Ghalding. There are definity some patrols in the game I glad I had the cheat for. And yeah, I use exitzone sometimes too when I'm really far away from an exit and I know I won't end up anywhere strange. Jeff has been getting better at making circular dungeons, though, so I've been using it far less.
  16. Geneforge 5 does indeed have showmeall. That's really the only cheat I use. Great for evading patrols, don't understand how people manage without it.

  19. I think someone already dared to say that the PC might be Shaper Monarch, a disturbing twist on the 'Monarch is the PC' debate held a while back.
  20. I made the same mistake with Ghaldring's test. Here I was thinking I would increase my reputation with the rebels by submitting to the drakons and Ghaldring gets mad about it! It's so difficult to please those big lizards!
  21. You never find out. You're probably right, though. It could be the PC from either Geneforge 3 or 4. My guess would be 4, since you have the option to be a servile and you couldn't be one in 3.
  22. Wow, that is strange. At first I regretted killing her because of that line in the ending about there not being enough human leaders of the rebellion, but then it seemed like it didn't really matter all that much, as the peace lived on. Then there was the fact that Alwan died. I actually felt a bit sad about that even though I disagreed with him (maybe it was the picture) but it make me feel better about Greta being dead since there was a sort of symmetry to it. Now I feel even better knowing that her death somehow forced Rawal to live out the rest of his life in obscurity.

In case the person at the Eastern exit in the final battle has something to do with it (though I can't imagine she does) I sort of killed her before the battle started in outer Gaziki-Uz, so she never appeared. Though I think I can see the line of ending that this affected, and it wasn't the one in question.
  24. How does one reach the canister in Bennhold's Keep? It's on the other side of a river and I can't seem to get at it.
  25. Interesting. So if your a Trakovite, killing everyone that supports shaping is not an option? That's too bad. Oh, and back on the original topic. It's interesting that you put Ellhrah as supporting tight regulation. Doesn't he ask you to use the Geneforge in the original game's ending?
