  1. This game really isn't personal, even if it very much feels that way some times. Truth is, there are times when betraying someone is just the most logical decision, even if you really don't want to betray that person (in the case of Thuryl and RCCCL, I had to betray them to live ). You can play a perfect game and be really nice to people, but if it turns out you're on the wrong person's list or you victory doesn't quite match with everyone else's, you are expendable, and there is little you can do. My character was not on anyone's list to kill (except Gladwell's, but I joined him) and my victory conditions didn't upset anyone else's, but I was still expendable, and I am glad the DLs determined I was useful enough to keep around, when really they didn't have to. Still, in the end, I couldn't please everyone, I guess. I'd say this game is about 50% strategy and 50% luck of the draw.
  2. I kind of liked the Necromancer. I actually spoke with Nikki right before his untimely death and even told him the names of his targets since I had nothing to lose by doing so. He could have won had he not dealt with the Fae.
  3. Strictly an aesthetic suggestion: maybe rename Darkside Blademaster to Dorikas? When I think of Blademasters, I think of the Vahnatai. Plus, it would be cool to have Dorikas in the game.
  4. It seems the fact that I was on absolutely no one's list of targets made it possible for me to work with anyone. In the end, tough, what got me killed was the fact that I really did work with everyone.
  5. If it makes you feel any better, Wz.As, I originally suggested to the DLs that we betray Shanker, since I really did feel some loyalty to you. They made it clear that they would not betray her, and only then did we discuss betraying you instead of her (there were simply too many goals to accomplish between the lot of us). I told Stareye who you were (so really I avenged myself ) by telling him I was Dionicio and that you were trying to kill me. I had no idea you really were trying to kill me, though, nice blindside. Had you somehow survived everything, I would have given you the artifacts gladly, but I wanted to keep the Holy Symbol in case you did die (it was likely you would have whether I betrayed you or not) so I could get rid of the geas, also because it was one of the items I needed for my victory. A brief summary of Alliances: I joined Gladwell. Darksiders work with Shanker (I think because one of them was friends with Andraste?). Darksiders discover who I am and we work out an Alliance between them and Gladwell. The Darkside/Gladwell Alliance breifly considers a grand Alliance with the Anama, but then decides that would be crazy. Realizing there are too many goals to accomplish, the Alliance decides to betray Gladwell. Darksiders work with Micklebur since... well... why not? Apologies to Thuryl and RCCCL. I didn't want to betray you guys, but you were on people's lists and I turned out not to be.
  6. I'm looking to join a faction. Potential recruiters please contact me. I'll list Thuryl as a reference on my resumé, he knows what a great servant I can be.

This includes attacking people who are warded. So if you attack someone that is dead you've wasted your action for the day?
  8. Has anyone ever made use of pyro-roamers? Are they the worse creation out there or what?
  9. There is no spy sect, but the game often tries to offer you spy routes in which you can avoid most of the monsters and fights by using mechanics and leadership. If your really bored with the fights though, the best thing for you might be... to cheat. I know it sounds crazy, but consider using one of the editors floating around to beef up your character. I do it once I've beaten the game once so I can sit back and see the different points of view and endings without concentrating on the fights so much over and over again.
  10. I'm not really a min-maxer, but from a casual players point of view... I like the pile of coins image, at least.
  11. It would have saved me if I had taken that antidote you offered me.
  12. Trusting Marlenny seems to be a problem many players have.
  13. One more request of Stareye: could you post the secret objectives for players that had them? Particularly Shanker's?

I was a really loyal servant to you, too!
  15. Just a humorous side note: Stareye's PM to me regarding my death: "A venomous error pieces you. You die." Spellcheckers can be really funny sometimes.
  16. In that case, it was very smart of her to use the poison. I was so certain I would have been able to kill at least one physical attacker before they realized I wasn't Gladwell. She was smarter than that I guess. Kudos.
  17. Interesting. Yeah, it's not Thuryl's fault I died. I knew he was throwing me under the bus by having me pretend to be Gladwell, but it's also my fault for practically bullying half the players into attack me (I was confident in his plan). And I guess I really got into the role. I apologize to anyone I may have been borderline rude to while role-playing the Bound Servant role-playing Gladwell. Strange, though, why was it the Adventurer that took me out? Was Andraste working for the Anama yet without actually joining the Anama? In conclusion: Thuryl surviving is close enough to victory for me.
  18. Could you please post everyone's role as well, Stareye?
  19. You could start a new account and give all game moderators access to it. That way, whoever is logged in at the time can process actions, and they would have access to a single set of records. They would just have to remember to log out when they're not processing.
  20. His items have the "harder to hit" enchant, which is from the Tiny Orb of Mist. Edit: Ah, like me, then. I never even use enchanting stones. One of these days I gotta try this powergaming thing everyone talks about so much.

  22. This link has crystal information. Yes, your guesses were correct.
  23. I noticed the brazier with the little fire in the one screenshot. I wonder if that has a cool animation. It feels like it should. Also, if I could make one suggestion? The minimap in this game, like the one in the final Geneforge, has land being the same color as unexplored area. This led to a bit of confusion for me in the last game as far as what I had and hadn't explored. Would it be at all possible to make them different colors in this game? It would be prettier, too.

I remember being painfully underprepared for the slith lord guy and trying, like, ten times to beat him before finally beginning the long trek back to civilization in defeat.
