  1. I see. Well, if that's how you guys really want it to be, just pick your favorite ending, I guess. Astoria's ending keeps most of the Geneforge feel intact. Everyone makes sacrifices and compromises, and things feel as if they will always be a bit tense despite her work for peace. It's a good ending to go with if you really insist on choosing one at all.

I especially like the no immunity bit. I feel like since each spirit only has the same stats as they did in life, he still has to be careful about who he sends them against. The three spirit cap is good too, as it makes it so that he can't just be inactive and hide until the last day (unless there are just three people left by then, though even then he has to know their immunities for which spirits to send against each). So yeah, I like the changes myself. I do, however, think you should keep the one regular, one spirit attack a day rule, with all three being usable on the last day. There really is enough killing in this game already that that limit shouldn't be too much of a problem for him.
  3. Why not just act as if the game hasn't ended yet? Have the current point in the timeline be somewhere during the last game, not after it. Really, the wiki loses nothing by you doing this. It would probably by worse in fact if you started putting information in it that was less than true.
  4. For some reason, Vahkos in his current form reminds me more of the proprietor of the Vale of the Sould.
  5. Sure you survived to day three. But how many of your targets had died and how many artifacts did you gather by that time? It definitely pays to... play the game. Of course playing you run a higher risk of death, but that's how it's supposed to work, I suppose.

I asked how people figured me out, they said Andraste spilled the beans in the beginning. I'm not giving myself any credit, as I accomplished nothing. I am, however, blaming Andraste entirely for my loss.

Little did I know Andraste had already blown it for me at the beginning. What can you do?
  9. Doom Warrior appears to be the source as far as Elle's role. The information I acted on seems to have originated from him.

  11. Sounds like Realmz. Everybody disliked that game very much.
  12. I thought all was lost for me on Day 1 when Andraste blew her identity somehow and died, and then there was the fact that the Darkside Mage was missing. Overall, the DLs were thoroughly doomed from the start. My Shanker charade only worked so well because the real Shanker was inactive for the first few days. I'm curious as to how everyone eventually figure out I wasn't the real Shanker. Or did Nioca think he was attacking Shanker when he killed me? Also, Alorael, worst ally ever. I appreciate that he took up a vacant role, but he clearly wasn't really feeling up to the game. He actually killed the Bound Servant before we ever even spoke. A pity, since I was fake allied with Gladwell at the time and wanted to use the Servant for my own evil purposes.
  13. Man, anyone remember how in the old Fallout games there were often situations where you would have, like, ten dialogue choices and only one wouldn't immediately anger the person into a fight to the death with you? That game was hardcore. The people in Jeff's worlds are much friendlier.
  14. I'm kind of hoping that Jeff does the same thing with Geneforge that he did with Exile. Meaning when he remakes it, I hope he continues making games past the final one in the series.
  15. Chessrook is right. In most RPGs, that's a bad idea, because many conversation options often have consequences (like in real life), but in Spiderweb games, that's simply not the case. Be on the lookout for the occasional opinion question, but other than that, talk about everything.
  16. Just give Stareye some time, I'm sure everything is under control.
  17. Thank you alternates. Though I must admit, I feel like I know what roles have been missing and it has certainly made the game interesting.
  18. I claimed to be many roles when I was the Bound Servant, physical immunity kind of went to my head, I guess. Nioca wouldn't have any spirits to save him this early in the game, so if he was Vahkos, he wouldn't be trying to get people to attack him, yet. I don't believe he's Vahkos.
  19. Originally Posted By: Excalibur Those are all the roles he's claimed to be so far. If he's not Vahkos, then who is he? Someone who want to have a little fun?
  20. Rawal's is a Scrying Stone. They may both be enchanted with scrying magic, but crystals tend to be more valuable and useful to magic users than stones.
  21. Just so that this revival isn't totally pointless, Jeff told me that if anyone else has this problem, email him. He told me technical problems are always better off sent directly to him, not posted on the boards.

  23. According to the Hint Book: the Energy and Strength Potion Recipes can both be learned from Walner at the Portal Fortress. Edit: You might prefer the Energy Elixir (from Kurtz at Fenris Port) and Strength Elixir (from Carlos in Lorerlei).
  24. You know, if Spiderweb ever needs an extra fighter... or better yet, a healer...
