  1. Would the serum just kill them or bring them back to life in horrible agony? Most zombies tend to rot at least a little bit during the transformation so I imagine if you were suddenly back in control of your zombified body again, you wouldn't be happy.

Then leave the town and come back (hopefully you barriered yourself in adjacent to the exit), the quickfire will be gone. Now you just have to never leave again so that the zombies don't respawn.
  3. No one I know plays Spiderweb games either, and I live in one of the bigger cities in the US.
  4. I would imagine you'd only paint once you were camped and relatively safe. You wouldn't write in an unsafe area, if not for your own safety, at least for the people who might end up reading it. Now, as for safe places to go: I would imagine public places would be the safest. Really. Preferable a historical monument or something like that. The first thing people are going to do when a zombie plague breaks out is raid stores and flee home. Residential and commercial areas (as well as *shiver* churches) are going to be the least safe because they will be where every rushed to in their panic. Walmarts, while the cliche safe place to fortify, are probably a bad idea. But take somewhere like a museum or a national park, why would anyone go there at the outbreak of a zombie apocalypse? Though normally crowded, these places are generally well fortified, like the museum, or at least fairly isolated, like the park. The best place ever would probably be the Forbidden City in China. You've basically got an unpopulated walled fortress city, which aside from being really, really safe would be a completely badass base of operations. Too bad I don't live in China. Maybe I could flee to DC and fortify the Lincoln Memorial?
  5. If it only hurts when you press on it, it doesn't sound like a pulled muscle. I pulled a muscle in my neck and it hurt terribly whenever I moved in a certain direction. I don't remember if it hurt when I pressed it or not as this was a while ago, but I would imagine you'd feel pain whenever you moved it in a certain way if it were pulled. Also I'm pretty sure if it were pulled, you'd clearly remember the moment you pulled it. Unless, maybe I sprained my neck? Not sure what the difference is. I am, of course, completely unqualified to make judgements in these matters (in case you didn't notice), just sharing experiences is all.
  6. I just thought of something that would be useful in a zombie apocalypse. Writing. Zombies can't read, so we could totally use this against them in ways we couldn't use it against human opponents. Simple things like writing your name, date, and activities on the wall in big letters wherever you camp. How safe a place is, which direction your headed, helpful tips, anything really that would be useful to fellow survivors. It's something simple and productive that won't attract the attention of the undead. Never used in a zombie movie, to my knowledge. Oh, and I just saw Zombieland minutes ago. It was pretty funny, I guess. One of the more uplifting zombie movies out there. Shawn of the Dead was still funnier, though. It's tough to beat the British at comedy.
  7. Well, the whole point of an IC is to keep it in character. I'd rather you post something like that somewhere else, though I suppose there isn't much I can do to stop you.

Which reminds me, that new zombie movie just happened to come out yesterday (in America) with Woody Harrelson and it looks really good. Be sure to check that out if you like zombies. Or Woody Harrelson. As for my survival strategy, I guess it's the same as it was last thread. I'm more of a lock up with friends and hope for the best kind of person. If it looks like they're going to get in, at least dress up in funny clothes so you can be a zombie with style.
  9. Didn't the thread get locked the last time we tried to discuss zombie survival? Edit: Ah, never mind, it was two zombie discussions ago that one got locked. It been a whole two months since the last one, though, so by all means continue.

  11. Have there been experience draining attacks in the recent games?
  12. We even made alcohol constitutionally illegal at one point! We didn't hold out very long, though. Now we have the mafia.
  13. Soy milk is only disgusting if you drink it quickly. If you sip it, it tastes nice and sweet. If you chug it, it tastes like a mouthful of plants.
  14. Why was Ghaldring still alive in the first place? I thought the premise of this RP was that the conclave was gone...

  16. A long time from now! Well, hopefully I'll be free that day. When you're an assistant manager, you never know when you're going to get stuck with someone else's shift. Hope to see you all there!
  17. Oh, finally! A text-hosting site! That is really great. I always imagined something like that existed, but never took the time to find one. I will most likely use that site in the future myself. Thanks, w-dueck.
  18. I'm surprised the best thing they could find to write about in their article was the nephilim artifacts glitch.
  19. I actually thought Conall was the one always talking to inanimate objects. Or, rather, he's been the one that's consistently found out which inanimate objects are in fact animate. We'd be stuck outside the Labyrinth still if it weren't for him!

And those are just the posts on that one account! What about the others? Congratulations.
  21. Kayar’s Spire Learned Fand was just going over the last of the negotiations with the Doctors. Despite the wars tearing apart most of the lands to the North, peace would be maintained between their two factions, at least. The Doctors would be sending food shipments from the Storm Plains to Drypeak. This would mean less serviles would be needed to work the fields in Drypeak and thus could go back to working the crystal mines there, as their ancestors once did. The Doctors would expect reciprocations in the form of crystal shipments, naturally. Also, the Doctors would be sending professional representatives to Drypeak to act as advisors and train a small number of serviles in the ways of shaping. In exchange, tutors from Drypeak’s famed School of Magery would be sent to train the Arterial soldiers in the ways of magic. These negotiations were all fine and good, but the final part was by far the best. In the interest of maintaining positive human-servile relations, the Doctors had agreed to allow any servile who wished to immigrate to Drypeak and be ruled by their own kind. This was the part of the deal that brought a tear to Learned Fand’s eye. He turned to Krak Blade, “We did it, old friend. It is a good day for serviles everywhere.” Fand suddenly received word that an emissary had come to him from Drypeak with important news. Before he could be received, another emissary appeared moments afterward, also from Drypeak. “What is the meaning of this? Who sent the two of you?” The first emissary responded, “Governor Wanel sent me, Councilor.” The second responded as well, “Governor Newor sent me. I… we probably have the same message for you.” Fand shook his head. This was precisely the reason why he endorsed a more active central government. Having powerful regional governors like the ones the Confederacy has tends to lead to redundancies just like this. “What is the message?” Fand listened in silence as they told him of the destruction of the entire Council, weeks ago. His eyes, still wet from the tears of joy moments ago, were dampened again by tears of sorrow as he turned to his friend. “I am so sorry, Krak. Councilor Tamman…” “My father lived a full life. He will be avenged.” “I… we will have to leave for home immediately to restore order to the government. Oh, that I could be everywhere at once. If we and Councilor Vess are the only ones left, then…” “Then we should get moving as soon as possible.” The two serviles nodded to one another and set out back for Drypeak. Dillame “And here I though that there was only one kind of human! Now I see they are not so different from us! Just as there are different varieties of servile, so there are different types of humans as well! The Sholai is a most primitive breed, isn’t it? I suppose it is at least some mark of prestige that you were the first of your kind! At least, I assume you are a prototype what with all the obvious flaws and mistakes that were made during your creation!” Learned Vess stood before the city of Dillame and shouted these words to the Sholai standing guard on the battlements. On the walls above, two Sholai soldiers looked to each other in confusion, “What is that tiny person talking about?” “No idea. Just ignore her. She’s been doing that for hours.” “Hey, I think she’s trying to insult us.” “Really? Nah, she just one of those crazy local serviles the General told us about. Probably doesn’t even know where she is. Poor thing.” “No, I really think she’s insulting us. Or, at least, she’s insulting us in her own way. I’m not really that familiar with their insults, but it sounds bad.” “Whatever, throws some javelins at her to scare her off. She’s woke me up this morning. She has it coming.” “She’s just out of range. I can’t reach.” “By the motherland! Fine, lets go out there and show her not to mess with the Sholai!” With that, a small band of lightly armed guards opened the gates of Dillame and moved towards the lone servile outside. Vess smiled, and began waving her hands around frantically. By the time the Sholai realized what was going on, it was too late. Hordes of angry serviles poured out from the foliage. The Sholai ran back towards the gates with the maddened creations hot on their tails. They were unable to close the gates behind them as the angry horde flooded into the city. With the skilled mages of Drypeak backing them up, the city fell in minutes. Rivergate Keep Councilor Tavian approached Vess as she sat back in the ancient chair of the commander of Rivergate Keep. Serviles celebrated in the background, thoroughly trashing the once elegant halls of the Keep. Vess spoke, “A glorious victory for serviles! History has indeed repeated itself, as I expected it would. Not as grand and epic as I had hoped, certainly not the battle we once brought to Alwan, but I can live with today's outcome." Tavian solemnly responded, “Councilor Vess, I'm sure you noticed, there were hardly any Sholai here at all. None of their leaders were present and their greater force seems to have relocated elsewhere.” Vess toyed with the large amulet around her neck, “Perhaps they fled in fear of our mighty hordes.” “Or perhaps they were not even really here for conquest as we once thought.” “Don’t let the others hear you say that!” Vess leaned in close to Tavian and spoke in hushed tones, “Look what we have done! We have united all serviles against a common foe! Without that foe, we will simply fight amongst each other or regress into our little communes and cults. No, we will keep fighting, even if our foes is merely a phantom. Then, when we can charade this no longer, we will simple find or create a new foe and raise their vigor anew! I will not lose all that we have accomplished so far. I will not.”
  22. Well then, you can't leave. We need you to combat those other superweapons! Didn't you send a diplomat to my serviles? Should I assume they never made it, then?
  23. The Greyghost Mountains are still open, I think. They would appear to be perfect for such a character.
  24. How abrupt. I wish you'd reconsider.
  25. Hey Duck, in case you were thinking about what skills to upgrade for John, I recommend two to bluff. I don't know which skills you prefer but bluff has certainly been my bread and butter.
