After I'm done with my BoE scenario, I'll continue work on a scenario with a premade PC. But if you want a prefab party, why does it need to be beginner-level?
Warning: Big empty outdoors with nothing in them besides trees and wandering monsters quickly bore players. If you're going to have towns and dungeons spread far apart, at least make sure you make the outdoors sections interesting.
No, you won't be able to use the shops. The Anama will hate you forever, unless you use the editor.
I believe everyone in every town on Bigail attacks you as well, but I'm not sure. That may just be Avernum 3.
Yes, that is the latest version. Yes, inconsistancies in terminology are common in both the help file and the editor application itself. Jeff refuses to fix it. You get used to it eventually.
As the sign near the button says, to press the button and survive, you must have Class D (I think it's D, I haven't played the game in a while) Magical Protection. To get this, you must ask Ahonar about "platypus", as hinted to by the obelisk at the far northwest of Footracer Province later in the game. You must also have at least five points of Bizarre Fauna Lore on one character.
I saw some online somewhere, and I made some myself. I didn't make a map for the third one though because it sucks. Please hold while I search.
EDIT: Luz\'s RotS map at The Blazing Blades
EDIT 2: No map is available for QotS. I will upload my own maps momentarily.
EDIT 3: Okay, here are the maps I made. Note that they (obviously) may spoil some of the sense of adventure and exploration that is part of what makes these scenarios so good, so be careful.
In the RotS and QotS maps, solid lines are vines, and dotted lines leading to an isle mean the isle must be accessed in a different way than simply walking along a vine. The vines are placed approximately where they appear in relation to the isle.

In the QotS Slith Caves map, solid-colored quares with arrows represent tunnels. Arrows pointing up are tunnel entrances, and arrows pointing down are tunnel exits. Similarly colored squares represent the entrance(s) and exit of the same tunnel.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure a couple shareware CDs have the BoE demo with the E3 documentation. I'll send you the BoE docs if you want.
EDIT: Are you on Mac or Windows? I have Windows, and I don't know if Windows docs would work on a Mac.
Starr, McCartney, Lennon, Harrison. Perhaps, at some point in the future, I will use Moon, Entwistle, Daltrey, and Townshend. Or maybe Watts, Wyman, Richards, and Jagger.
