I am sure this has been discussed before but just some quick questions to the experts out there. I like Geneforge a lot but hardly ever play the game through because I get bored when the game gets too hard.
I began as a magic-strong character (lifecrafter?) and pro-rebel and on an easy level. Are there any suggestions to make it powerful? On the first three areas, I upgraded mech, leadership, and battle magic. However, I seemed to run into lack of strength (ie. encumbered). I wanted to increase intelligent but not sure which is really needed between spellcraft, intel, or strength. (I am still in demo mode.) I got an artilla and it helped when encountered with a group of enemies. Daze is very useful.
Also, the whole pro-rebel and pro-shaper really got me. I read some of the discussed topics here and now am not sure which way I should turn. Is the game intended for either extreme way or does it really allow double crossing? It might seem great to get the most bonus but somehow it just doesn't feel right.
Now about the questions.
which class is the easiest to play as? (at an easy or at a normal level)
I prefer magic to shaping. I like to be a loner, I guess, although in some cases, an army certainly helps.
In other Geneforges, I usuall play as an agent. I have done about 5-6 areas so far and now am not sure if my character (Adriadne) is a good choice.
Need any suggestions for this newbie since I really have no clue what to do even though I have played some other geneforge before.
Thanks
