Congrats to Dintiradan! I need to learn when to stab people now!
  2. I guess that makes me the less optimal spammer!

    Scrubs.

Scrubs is fairly funny but it's not hilarious like the Daily Show or anything.
  4. Congratulations! Now for the mailbox! +1
  5. The Morganites are my favorite faction and I can achieve victory with them sooner than any other faction (although Lal comes close with his rapid population growth). The faction I have a hard time with is the Hive. I'm a bit surprised that the designers didn't come up with a better AI for Morgan, because it fails at everything Morgan should be doing. Click to reveal.. (Why the AI sucks at Morgan) - The AI rarely uses supply crawlers, bun when they do, they usually don't use them for energy. Additionally, they never ever armor them or give them proper defense against mindworms. Aaaand, when it does convoy energy it doesn't build economic facilities in the base, effectively making it useless. - The AI sucks at terraforming and rarely builds boreholes. - The AI generally only rushes units but not base facilities or secret projects. - The AI doesn't build enough base facilities in the first place, and doesn't properly take advantage of tree farms. - The AI generally won't upgrade to clean reactor units. - The AI doesn't expand quickly enough and sits there with five or six bases (if that). - The AI seems to think that probe teams are invisible the entire game and uselessly throws them in front of enemy units. - The AI needlessly moves its military units outside its borders causing drone riots. - Whenever AI Morgon is attacked he often builds up a ton of units that he can't support, so he switches to Police State and Power and effectively kills himself.

Well, it's an uncommon alliance, though that's mostly due to Santiago's AI and therefore not an issue when you're playing as her. She normally really hates the University, and is more likely to fight on Miriam's side in the inevitable Believer/University war. Yeah, Miriam will run Power if she ever gets the technology, and I often see Santiago running Fundamentalist. They're instant buddies! I think it makes more sense for Santiago to run a police state (+3 Police!) but then again I'm not the AI. (The AI plays the Spartans okay. It's just flat out terrible playing the Morganites)

I know that the World Diplomacy IX variant takes a few days to fill up on the main site.

I thought the World Diplomacy IX variant was a lot (17 players). I'm playing a gunboat game right now in which I've conquered all of Africa, but cannot move anywhere else due to the circumstances. (It's annoying how the World Diplomacy IX variant has a bunch of supply centers in Antarctica of all places)

I generally just use the default because I'm boring, although I really don't like Calibri or whatever it's called.

    It happens.

Yay! Congrats! Where's the cake? *can't find cake*
  12. I like the mentioned Checker Shadow Illusion the best because it shows how your brain can totally screw with you.
  13. I've only read Fahrenheit 451, but that novel alone signifies that he was a great author.
  14. I had to check to make sure it wasn't April Fools Day.
  15. I think Harehunter's description is utterly hilarious, along with Tyran not dying in eight months.
  16. I never understood why you couldn't implement engineering controls in SimCity. I mean, they had better not be like the people at Chernobyl.

It would make way more sense that way. I'm more or less complaining that it's dark at 4:30 PM in the winter. In high school I got out of class and the sun was already going down. It'd be more reasonable if Nevada was in Mountain time.
  18. Yes. Yes indeed. *glances discreetly*
  19. I think that would result in massive volcanic eruptions...and tensions with China? Oh, I'm in the Pacific Time Zone, eight hours away from said ocean in a very mountainous area. Go figure.
  20. I mean, it should have been obvious to me that there's Twilight fan fiction, but now that Dantius just confirmed that...Oh god.
  21. I think my favorite was Tyrangled Up In Blue.
