Arrow keys to move in the world

When he remakes the game I really hope he'll give the option of arrow keys to move in the game. That's the reason I abandoned it. It just was too frustrating to click everywhere to walk and on everything to use or see what's inside

Correct me if I'm wrong, since I'm not done with avadon 1 yet but my one wish list item is using the arrow keys to move instead of them just moving the map which I honest have to admit is really annoying. It's the same with the geneforge series too. Sorry Jeff, just being honest

What's the point of the codex and are you automatically attuned to the pylons? Do they automatically teleport you back to avadon only or can you go other places? Sorry I just started today the only irritant I have is you can't use the arrow keys to move around. Unless there's a trick I'm missing?

I'm almost done with the avernum series and I was thinking of trying Avadon. What are your thoughts on the games? And one big thing that is a make or break for me is can you use the arrow keys to move around or is it click to walk only like Geneforge?

You need to complete enough quests (it's really unspecified) then check in with Glinda in the castle records to upgrade your pass

What about a long drawn out game that could be an avernum or geneforge...after party? Like after all is said and done just to see what the world looks like. The surface portal is fixed and everybody lives in harmony. I really think that from A3-6 they should have let you choose siding with Rentar-Irhno

In A4-6 you don't get a quest for the orb of tharalini. Not that I noticed anyway. I hope I didn't miss out

Does it seem like there's less to do quest wise at all? I feel like I try to get every single quest and try to finish it before the endgame but in A4-6 I feel like the endgame is coming a lot sooner than it did for A:EFTP and A:CS so I don't have as much time to do things. Maybe it's just me? But you keep getting promoted after three tasks and the tasks aren't even that hard. I don't mean the difficulty setting in my game is too low, it just feels like the quests are too simple and easy.

So I'm really confused because I work for the castle. When people insult me because of that fact, should I just go on a killing spree and kill them? I mean when you get the first major quest, it says that some Avernities will insult you for being an employee of the castle and that its ok to kill them. What I'm really trying to ask is how do you tell the difference between the avernities you should kill and the ones you shouldn't?

Is there a more expanded character editor in avernum 5 that we can download? I know there was an awesome one for A4 that gave you all the best items

Do you eventually die if you don't have any food? That would be nuts! I remember when I fir started A6 and got a line of text "you have no food and are very hungry. You will be less effective in combat" I freaked because I didn't want to die from lack of food. I made a god party with the editor pinned at the top of the forum

I got really frustrated with the Geneforge series click to walk here thing rather than the option of using the arrow keys. I played geneforge 2 but screwed up at the end of geneforge 3 by going on a killing spree before completing the main quests. I don't know how to get back to the shaper council. I highly regret it. I'm a perfectionist and it took so long for me to get to the end, I just feel kind of disillusioned and frustrated with it. I think I might start avernum over and go slowly and carefully. I hope in avernum 3 they could let you choose off the bat to side with rentar-Ihrno and help release the plagues rather than just ending them. Would make for an interesting change. I think that's why I love avernum more because the movement style is better and not as irritating plus (to me at least) there's so much more to do in order to advance rather than have the whole world open like in Geneforge. More open ended

I never played the original avernum 2 but here's my thought anyway. So in avernum 2 (at least in the remake) the vahnatai are your friends and help you win the war against the empire but in avernum 3 they go nuts and try to kill you? I don't get why. Thoughts?
