  1. Ok thanks. Since I never played exile or the original Avernum 2, I wasn't sure
  2. I've been looking for a walk through online of A2:CS because I wanted to see if there was one before purchasing the hint book. I found the old Avernum 2 has a walk through for it and I read it but I can't find anything about the pass system, the grey, red, blue cards. Is that a new thing for A2:CS pr was it in the old Avernum 2? I can't find mention about it and I'm replaying to try and do every quest possible. I know that's crazy XD
  3. Which ones in the series are your favorite and least favorite and why? For avernum I know the third remake hasn't come out yet so if you say the old version of avernum 3 that's ok. For me Avernum 2 is my favorite because to me it's the most complex since you have to make sure you have the right passes before you can go anywhere. My least favorite is Avernum 6 not just because it's the end but because I have to keep starting over (due to being a perfectionist and wanting to get everything there is) For Geneforge my favorite has to be 2 because you could still play both sides or one side and then clear your alligence with the sects, thus going on a killing spree and make the council very happy. My least favorite is Geneforge 3, because I had a really hard time getting into the story of it and it seemed kind of not fully thought out, like it didn't connect with the others in the series Any thoughts?
  4. So I assaulted Formello and wiped out the silths. I forgot to open the gate to allow myself reentry if needed. I looked in my journal and I have a few quests that require me to go to Formello. I only have one save and an autosave. Am I out of luck or is there a way to let me back in?
  5. So he wants me to first break the circle in the spiral in A6. I told him no. Bleh...guess it's killing time
  6. I have a bunch of side quests to do and I'm on the third tier of quests for Levitt like destroy Cota, aid Silvar and help fort Dranlon but I am so lost. The map doesn't help at all and I can't find anyone I need for the quests so I can proceed. This is my second run through with a singleton God. There's this Silth I keep coming across that I keep trying to kill but he keeps teleporting away from me and I never fully kill him. There's the Maruders lair where I have to kill the Mage and I did but I can't complete the quest, like there isn't a dialogue option to clear the quest. I have the hint book and I'm switching between that and the game but I'm just so stuck with everything. Do you think that creating a god party (through the built in character editor) killed my chances of completing the game?
  7. Astoria . I remember in g2 how if you killed the leaders of the factions it was very good and the council was pleased. I wish in G5 you could have done the same thing but Astoria said if I killed Rawl she would come after me. I wish we could have a G6 to bring it full circle instead of just reading it and not getting to "experience" it. You know?
  8. I just finished the Geneforge series on a full rebel standpoint. I don't know why but when I watched the ending it felt empty and anticlimactic somehow. What did you all think?
  9. Does it upset you when your reputation goes up or down? I know then my reputation goes up with the shapers, I get mad at myself XD
  10. I have Rawls papers of passage which allow me to go through Mera-Tev and the surrounding areas but to go anywhere else controlled by Alwan, I need new transfer papers and I have no idea how to get them. I don't want to join Rawl or Alwans factions. I'm loyal to the Mera rebels but I'm really confused on how to move on. I don't want to do tasks that coul potentially decrease my reputation with the rebels. I bought the hint book and have read it several times. However, I'm still stuck and more confused than ever. I have a quest to go see a drakon, if that helps
  11. So when I start G5 and refused to help Rawl, he inserted a control tool into me as "punishment" I should have tried but if I agree with him (even though I don't) will he still insert the tool into me?
  12. Quite perfect and very valuable! Thank you
  13. Oops G5. And she starts at the inn in Mera
  14. So where is she? She was at the inn when she wants you to steal the noxious gases. Then she says meet her at the south gate but she's not there. Where does she end up? I'm tired and can't think of town names. Sorry
  15. So I just beat it full rebel and I'm very happy with the result. Luckily I saved just before the end so I could see both endings but ultimately I fight for fairness and equality
  16. For the person who came up with this http://www.spiderwebforums.ipbhost.com/index.php?/topic/9545-the-insidious-infiltrator/ Thank you so much! I restarted G4 and followed the advice in the thread and now my Infiltrator is kicking butt! Thank you!! The question I have is: Is there a way to get through certain areas without directly helping the shapers? Like if I kill the Shapers in the bunker or something and then loot it, can I get information to help me complete the game and score points with the rebels? I know you don't HAVE TO go everwhere to finish the Geneforge games but I'm a completionist and I want to. Anyone have thoughts on this?
  17. How in the first three Geneforge games, you're practically encouraged to destroy the Geneforge without using it. However in Geneforge 4 you HAVE to use it? The whole thing seems weird. I feel like I've missed something. I'm restarting 4 today but I played through 1, 2, and 3
  18. Even on easy, Geneforge 4 seems insanely hard (like on torment level) I feel like I'm getting nowhere. I'm playing a singleton infiltrator, but everything is so expensive and it's so hard to raise her stats so she can be a tank. Any advice or working editor that would work on a Mac OS 10.10.3? I'm so frustrated! I can't count my endless stupid deaths
  19. So, I played Geneforge 2 a long time ago but I never played 1. Now I have the full series, I have a question for you all. How do you play your game and what faction, if any did you join? If you didn't join a faction, did you make it to the end of the game but on your way to the final before the story of that "episode" ended, did you go back on a killing spree? I remember in Geneforge 2 when I played it, I talked to people using the options I found were most fair. I mostly stayed neutral or as neutral as possible. When I got to the end and went back to the shaper council, I had played in such a way where I was fair, but I also made sure everyone attoned for their crimes. Unfortunately, if it meant killing them, then so be it. So how did you play through the series?
  20. The items you can't use like a robe, cloak, what have you, you can sell for extra money. *stupidly points out the obvious* Sorry I'll just leave *slinks away*
  21. Even though shapers are supposed to be above serviles, the whole caste system thing irritates me. It's hard to be compassionate when everyone expects a numnut who follows orders
