Garrulous Glaahk -x-OMEN-x-
I think we should. We should be able to devistate the lands with high and powerful creations.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
We probably will get a new creation in the higher levels, but not something as unbalanced as an unbound.
Unflappable Drayk Jeran Korak
Unbound are huge, mindless Drakons gifted with as much power as a physical body can take. You read in the text (not directly but you get the impression) that they are as powerful as it is possible for a physical creature to be. But in so doing they have become totally, utterly, mindless Not savage, not rogue, just mindless. Incapable of any rational thought, such is the power that they barely contain. They were created as endgame, doomsday, armageddon. The ultimate weapon to obliterate the shapers. In other words; no. You will not create them. Garrulous Glaahk -x-OMEN-x-
Any creation can be controlled. And did you create the creature or make the game. How do you know unless you did? All it takes is a very powerful shaper and alot of essence. But i see your point. They probably wont be in creation selection. But they better have something a heck of alot better than the Ur-Drakon and way cooler. Because on Geneforge 4 I am a Lifecrafter with 500 Health and 3 permanent Ur-Drakons two of them with 1600 health each and my main Ur-Drakon that has 1680 health and destroyed all major characters on terrestria. And I have 315 extra essence for back up creations. I have made the best account that i have ever made. I have never been beaten.
Well-Actually War Trall Micawber
The entire point of the unbound is that they can't be controlled. That's their raison d'être. Code: text1 = "You stare at the bound creation. It stares off intospace, frozen. The energy field surrounding the creature holds, controlled by the control panel behind you to the east. You examineit at your leisure."; text2 = "It is a drakon, but unlike any you have ever seen. Itglows. Powerful heat radiates from it, enough that it would probablyburn you if you touched it. Whoever created it filled it with allthe pure, uncontrolled power they could."; text3 = "And, as with all Shaping, there was a trade-off. Inreturn for power, they gave up sanity. They have followed the samepath as Shaper Monarch, but with far greater resources and skill."; text4 = "This drakon is unbound, free of all the controls normallyput on creations. It is a pure weapon, designed to unleashuncontrolled havoc wherever it is placed.";
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Yes and no. For one, they had to be made in vats. no one ever mentioned it would be possible to make it without one, so no But the Ur-Drakons also had to be made in vats at first, but than because of "inflation" you could than make them without it. So if jeff wants to do that than fine. I personally think that it would be much more cinematic if we couldn't make them.
Rotghroth Rhapsody The Lurker
The only creature I really want is the Oozebeast. Or, failing that, the Ornk Lord.
Well-Actually War Trall The Ratt
Hey someone else with similar interests! I too would like to make an oozebeast. Though they lack in speed and power, they would make up for it by spraying acid. And they're cool.
Kyshakk Koan Txgangsta
Geneforge 7, the last boss to win the game. for the rebels, killing the council, for the shapers, A GAINT UR-OOZEBEAST!!! It should have aura of flames and acid spray and unleash both at the same time. And 500 health. No, 5000 health! And it should be neon orange! Understated Ur-Drakon Callie
Jeff's going to stop with Geneforge 5.
Well-Actually War Trall Emperor Tullegolar
Jeff is pretty notorious for evolving concepts as new games come out. Just look how the geneforge itself has become weakened over four games. He could easily include the unbound as the third level drakon creation in the next game and simply include a few lines of text saying the design has been rewritten for more obedience and less random destruction. Not that I would like for this to happen, I personally am not a fan of big pink dragons.

Unflappable Drayk Jeran Korak
Then Imban really WOULD be everyone! But jokes aside, while I admit it would be fun to have a massive pink Barny look-alike under your contrl incinerating everything in massive blasts of burning essence, it's also totally unrealistic. It's not going to happen.
Ineffable Wingbolt Lord Safey
While they wouldn't be possible for a lone shaper to make it might be possible to seize control of one in a similar manner when you face down the prototype at ghaldaring hq. However this wouldn't be easy and I sincerly doubt game mechanics will let you walk around with a barney.
