  1. I believe Redemption wasn't talking about changing scenarios to make them easier but fixing problems which make the scenarios unfinishable on the newer engine. It isn't cheating. If uploading a fixed copy isn't to your taste, then merely telling people which scenarios have problems and where would help people alot in fixing the problems themselves. And yes, I once owned the original BOE until life events caused me to lose the hard copy as well as the digital version. Besides, my current system wouldn't let me play the original BOE anyway.
  2. Seems like I'm coming up with the same problem as well. Could someone send me an updated copy, direct me to an updated version or tell me where the problem is so I can edit it myself? Either of the three will be fine. email: goldenskyangel at hotmail dot com EDIT: I think I found the problem, town 7. Changed node. Now I'm going to restart the scenario and see if it works. EDIT2: Hooray! (Used scenario text dump then searched for Show/Hide Town to track it dowm)

  6. So, Redbeard and his "Wives" huh?

  8. I recently found the Alexa.com website and I've been having fun checking out the the different sites and seeing where the traffic is coming from http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/spiderwebsoftware.com# There seems to be alot of traffic from Norway. On the other hand the information comes from whoever uses their toolbar so it could simply be alot of people who visit the site from Norway use the toolbar.

Just put down quickghasts as a subset of "ghasts" There is a mummified priest in Avernum 6. Quote: Hmmm...is there any info on specific slith or nephil undead? I must add that to the list of "whenever I finally finish my first scenario, I shall look into this next"s. They do show up from time to time in the games (usually it's noted in game text that that particular bunch of undead are nephilim/slithzerikai) but there are no undead unique to either species.
  11. ...I like Stone Soup but I've never gotten past the 6th/7th dungeon level...screw spontaneously appearing ghosts of the past.
  12. I've been wondering, did Avernites invest in trying to improve the flavour of their foods on a larger scale? You'd think between A3 and A4 that they'd look into it. I remember in A1 there was one inn in the eastern gallery with tasty food but you were too scared to ask what was in it.
  13. I didn't actually play the Geneforge games until the third one was released as until then I didn't have a computer that could run the game.
  14. I vaguely remember those old days but since I am as I was then, a sort of forum nomad I missed out on whole chunks of happenings while I wasn't around.
  15. I remember two baby hydra in the nephilim fort in X2/A2. But I bet the chitrachs were already infesting the eastern gallery back in X3 as they had already reached Upper Exile by then... ...Unless the Vahnatai introduced them to upper exile. Huh.
  16. That guy near Fort Dranlon had been taming chitrachs. Just hire some kill-happy mercenaries and tell them they can have any loot they find but to deliver all chitrach corpses they kill. There are your initial butchers. I bet the larvae would be tasty if fried.
  17. They changed the Shaper and Guardian graphics. The original shaper graphic was so much more classy.
  18. Recently: Nation by Terry Pratchett. Reread Good Omens, read the early books of the Dresden Files series.
  19. Question, are chitrachs edible? Could have solved the food crisis as well as pest control. Has anyone tried? I remember in E3/A3 an encounter with some Vahnatai who were hunting chitrachs and they bundled some up in the end.
  20. Just saying Jeff could have spelt it McIntosh in the game but as he went straight to Machintosh.
  21. A3 reference.Quite sneaky infact: In real life there is an type of apple called a mcintosh. In A3/E3 there is an apple tree near wainscotting which the games call Macintoshes. Apple...Macintosh. Well played.
  22. Didn't they fix it so you couldn't sell it?
  23. My interpretation of demons in geneforge. Entities from another dimension which can only manifest in the real world as a shade of some sort (infernal to be exact) or summoned into hosts/container. Basically anything supernatural in Geneforgeworld is some sort of insubstantial spirit thing.
