  1. Takers in G2 and Rebels in G3 especially. The Awakened in G2 weren't nearly as bad. It's just the head researcher in the Magus Complex who's evil and crazy. I secretly imagine that I kill him and allow someone with a little more sanity to take over. Dikiyoba.
  2. There's no reason to cross post. People will come and give you further tips in the other topic. Dikiyoba feels like a mod now, which Dikiyoba is not.
  3. Kelandon, I'd start pointing out that it can be found above the topics for this forum so that potential editors don't have to come back to your post to find it. I know I've seen the question more than once. Dikiyoba.
  4. Do you get some sort of error message? An unhandled exception or something? I may have had a similar situation once but I no longer have that problem. Dikiyoba. Edit: Sentence structure.
  5. It wasn't. yoeppy also can't spell and assumed everyone here was male. There are very few members I will disparage but yoeppy has become such a member. Since yoeppy doesn't mind stealing, stealing any chance of a good reputation won't bother yoeppy. There are worse things to do on the first post but Dikiyoba can't think of anything, since double posting would be more than one post.
  6. So the entire point of one of the games will be to track down Ghaldring, slay his followers, destroy his outposts, and then kill him? If it isn't to people's satisfaction, one could always jack up Ghaldring's level in the script or start a story about it in this forum. Dikiyoba hopes we kill Ghaldring soon and be done with the series. The longer the series goes on, the more anticlimatic the battle will seem, no matter how difficult the final fight is. The fight against Trajkov in G1 seemed climatic at the time because that was the whole story at that point. Edit: Sentence structure.
  7. Loyalist and sometimes Taker in G1, Awakened or Loyalist in G2. Don't play G3 because there is no middle ground. Dikiyoba.
  8. I didn't have too much trouble as a guardian. Admittedly, I was only playing on normal but I wasn't using canisters or creations. Dikiyoba.
  9. Dark waters (in A2, I'm assuming) is perfectly okay to return to start if you also return all boats to start. It's how I pick up all the loot found in the area. The only problem is that it makes "blackness" appear in all the outdoor areas. Dikiyoba.
  10. Because it is an uber-powerful drakon, that's why. Dikiyoba hopes player get a chance to slay it as the final quest of some future Geneforge.
  11. Quote: Originally written by VCH: Oh my! I can drive the car, but don't ask me how it works. Both of you ^ seem to have an intimate understanding of English. Or you pretend to. My thoughts exactly. I'm not understanding half of what is said in this topic. This is either really good or really bad considering that I'm trying to create my own language. At least Dikiyoba won't be able to confuse people with long linguistic terms.
  12. I hate it when the vampire in BoA's VoDT summons three more vampires. Which, in turn, sometimes summon ogre mages. Time to reload... Dikiyoba.
  13. Be careful. Alorael's minions, er, friends, are really touchy about anyone who mimics Alorael's sig in any shape or form. Even one that doesn't remotely resemble it. Edit: Dikiyoba knows exactly what Dikiyoba is talking about.
  14. I think it's an engine problem more than the call itself since not everyone is getting the bug. Besides, I've had troubles with the call move_to_new_town and there's nothing wrong with that call most of the time. Dikiyoba.
  15. Even if he did, people often have trouble catching their own mistakes. Dikiyoba.
  16. Unless you're the sort of person who enjoys being able to read every book without having to have a library of them or have random quotes spoken to you by a bleached skull. Dikiyoba.
  17. There is a fairly detailed walkthrough for G3 already on GameFAQs. It isn't specifically designed for Shapers, though, so strategy should be a big part of the guide. Other people's opinions (and strategies) could add to your guide. Dikiyoba.
  18. Are the graphic files present and in the correct spot? Dikiyoba.
  19. I borrow bits and pieces from other scripts (and my own too) whenever I need to do something in a script and then go to the docs if I can't find what I want. Then I test the completed script. It's slow but it works. Dikiyoba.
  20. A lot of issues are resolved without his help though. I'm betting most of the ones that don't get resolved and aren't just the result of a user's computer probably get e-mailed to him eventually. Dikiyoba notices that descriptions of bugs and other issues often end up in the other forums anyway.
  21. I guess then the only choice is to have as much strength as possible before visiting the cult to be able to carry away as much of the expensive goods as possible. Dikiyoba.
  22. But if you don't have creations, the bonus to a creations' strength means nothing. Dikiyoba plays solo. More experience, tougher combat.
  23. For future reference, is it possible not to get the orb, leave with loot, come back, and repeat until the orb is taken? Dikiyoba.
  24. That's to weed out the complete incompetents. Or maybe it's a typo. Dikiyoba.
  25. Start_state does check every turn so if the sign switch can be activated every turn, it makes sense to put it there. If it is only checking a SDF, I don't think it will slow the game down noticeably. On the other hand, you could use a special encounter that the party has to walk on before seeing the sign or after triggering the switch to check whether the terrain should be switched because then it would only be called once in a while. Of course, I think terrain switches back after leaving a town, so it would also have to go into init_state. So go back to the first hand. Dikiyoba. Edit: Double sig. Better than a double post, I guess...
