  1. No one has. Read the news on Spdierweb main page.
  2. Hah! Agents have just as big a need to strengthen their magic! They certainly have a bigger need than the Gaurdians. Oh and you missed a certain Canister Loving, Servile Saver, Shaper School Dropout: Greta.
  3. Jeff, I think that I would prefer it if you could swap around the graphics for the portait and the figure.
  4. and to prove my point that gaurdians are as good as shapers and agents, imagine this, all the gaurdians are dead. the shola attack. who's their to stop them? NOONE. Agents don't know how to fight an honest battle, shapers can't and a horde of battle betas and vish are NOT as good as a horde of gaurdians. the Shola would kill eveyone. so even if noone will admitt it the shaper society needs gaurdians. without them they would die. so gaurdians do rule. and i won't stop trying to prove that they do until people agree with me. beacuse it's true. [/QB] Actually a horde of Battle Betas, or any of the battle trio are as good. Agents can fight just as good as Gaurdians. Agents bless themselves, blast the enemy, and then fight with their swords. Shapers make Vlish and Battle Gammas and, then blast the heck out of the Sholai. Gaurdians are useless. End of story.
  5. Strategically: Vlish Looks: Drakons Enough said.
  6. Next time use the edit button.
  7. I REALLY hate to tell you this, but there can't be an unalligned. You're a warrior in a war, pick one side or the other. If not you get killed. What's more there is often a situation where you have to choose the lesser of two evils. A less common one could be let this maniac free, or kill him? Oh and your answer for the big city/family thing is moronic at best. Your choice: get killed and he'll blow both bombs. My choice: Save the family and friends. You should actually face life and think about consequences and what will happen. Idiot. (Don't take this the wrong way, it's just you seemed extremly foolish.)
  8. Regarding Shaping: When Jeff said that you wouldn't be a Shaper I'm sure he meant loyalist. Even if he didn't he also said that all of that was subject to change. Regarding Awakened: That is exactly what I've been saying! It's a god damn war, the Awakened are going to have to stop being so passive. Regarding Money Limits: If you want to take things realisticly think that your carrying around 30,000 coins like carrying around a feather. Plus computers have limits, duh.
  9. You say you've played other Avernum games and you calling this good? What alien galaxy are you from?
  10. No. Unfortunately you can't make light. I suggest increasing brightness on your computer.
  11. Yeah, but who really wants that. The Takers are the rebels now. They're goals are to KILL ALL SHAPERS! Somehow a peace confrence doesn't seem likely. Jeff already told us that this is a war. What's the fun in a peace confrence? They have to battle it out. The Awakened if they could somehow could convert the Shapers, but what are the chances. If the Awakened or Shapers are going to win then the Rebels must die. Also the Rebels WANT war. End of rant.
  12. There's a porblem with the undead thing. That's not Shaping, it's necromancy. You don't Shape the undead, you ressurect them. That is the reason it can't be shaper magic, and also in Jeff's games, necromancy is frowned upon. Also, IF the Awakened come back then it would be a lot coller if they weren't evil or whatever. Lastly, the Separists, what the heck are there goals? In other words, explain more about them.
  13. I've said this multiple times, the Awakened would have to kill hte Shapers and Rebels. The reason why is by now all sides are set on their beliefs. If not then they would probably be Awakened. Maybe if the Awakened sell Rebel secrets to the Shapers adn vice versa they oculd weaken both sides enough to wipe them out. Then as I said they could rebuild the world around Awakened beliefs. Bottom line, THERE ARE TOO MANY EXTREMISTS TO KILL WITHOUT WAR! EDIT: Just a little question, what ending is GF3 based on? I just want to know the side.
  14. My human priest: He is a missionary sent by the Empire to do work in Avernum. He represents the Church of the Anama, and joined the band of adventurers to help spread the word. He and the magician often have heated discussions. He himself doesn't use magical items but doesn't force his friends not to. My human wizard: He is a mage sent by the Tower Colony. He studied into all manor of magic, but was cut off from his research by a power struggle with his rival. His rival framed him for the theft of a magical tome and he was banished from learning at the Tower Colony. He was going to study at Formello's library and was hired by my band of adventurers. He and the priest often argue over religon. My slith warrior: My slith warrior was one of the good sliths in the Second Slith War. He fought only once in a small battle. After that he was sent as a soldier to Formello and was hired by my band of adventurers. He often spars with my nephil warrior and listens fascintated to the wizard's and the priest's conversations. My nephil warrior: He is a nephil from the Mrrrah(spelling?) Clan. He was sent to Formello one day when he went to trade. He often fished along the various rivers in Avernum. Once while going to trade in Formello he met the rest of my adventurers and joined up. He is a secret follower of the Anama and likes to get in scuffles with my slith warrior.
  15. Quote: Originally written by Dallerdin with a custom moniker.: But if the Awakened stopped being passive, they would either become that which they hated - they'd have to fight uncaring about casualties like the rebels or dominate others like the loyalists or even both - or else get beaten. In other words, the Awakened only survive if they do not fight. Exactly. If they fight they lose their morals. If they don't fight then they'll die. They have to fight the Shapers and Rebels. Kill them both off and restart the Shapers under Awakened beliefs. That is the only way I see for them to win.
  16. It's obvious that if the Awakened have any chance of survival then the Shapers (or atleast their beliefs) have got to go. Also I believe that the canisters can't be allowed to live if the Awakened are to. The Awakened can't be so passive, they've got to resatart the Shapers after winning the war and set them straight from the beggining.
  17. I like the first idea better. But seriously, chances are only the very intelligent things are going to have any chance of making it. So let's just leave it to Jaff and make this thread the "Wild Speculation" thread.
  18. I say that Avernum stops being so passive. All they ever do (A1 in exception) is wait for there enemies to attack. Thus my whole "Avernum attacks the demon world thing". This and I want to see what Jeff shows as the demon world. Now, about the Vahnatai, I would like to see there view on all this. I also like the Darkside Loyalists, plotwise. Make them allies with the demons or something. Hmmm. I've probably said to much. I've got this phrase running through my mind, "Join the Darkside Loyalists, we have cookies!"
  19. A good idea Jeff. That's why your the game designer or whatever. Maybe A5 can be a band of Unspecified Services adventurers going to explore a new tunnel opened recently. The tunnel would lead to Vahnatai Lands with many foes along the way. No one has made it through yet, so you are chosen. The only reason they know it goes to the Vahnatai Lands is because they've scryed it connecting to the Dark Waters. There is some minor settlements of slith and vahnatai build with few people there. The vahnatai settlements along the way ar from other tribes. When you finally make it to the Vahnatai Lands you are greeted much like in A2. You must destroy the new threat/s to the vahnatai, probably including the last of the Rentar Ihrno's followers. I would also like it if they mentioned Bon Ihrno. Like a ghost or hopefully even a Crystal Soul.
  20. I learned about Grah-Hoth being the prince on the Encyclopedia Ermarian. Plus there is a reason, his only son has been humiliated, and he's going to want pay back. That's an actual reason, not just "hey that guy is evil, go kill him". About the Dragons, who bout the Empire attacks them because they're harboring in the rebels. Heck we could even do the invasion of the demon world solo. After all it's Avernum who is doing the invading, finally.
  21. Hey. Grah-Hoth is the Prince of Demons. Chances are there are numerous spells preventing him from returning, but what about daddy? The King of the Demons is sure going to angry. WHat's more the angry dragons, that's good. I like this idea, the Empire is being attacked by the Dragons. Avernum has sent it's army into the demon world to kill the King of Demons. The Vahnatai porviding the portal to do so, after all they need to be good guys already. The rebels on the surface have unified under Commander Johnson. The army of rebels is taking advantage of the Empire's weakness to attack. You have to help with each problem. Starting with the demons, and ending with rebels. What's more you can join the rebels, taking over the surface, or kill them.
  22. There aren't cheats, but there is the character editor.

  24. Despite that it doesn't give positive proof. Heck that stuff about glowing skin only reinforces my bizzare magic theory.
  25. Hmmm. Perhaps it was a bizarre twist of magic that made him like that?
