Yes, however Jeff hasn't always gone with the exact ending. Not to mention that Dewry told us that Trajkov used the Geneforge. Also, do you think that having used the Geneforge, started building an empire, and having it dashed would not drive someone insane? This is possible, but how many mad and extremly powerful Shapers do you think there are? Also, how many of those do you think would live to such advanced age? How many of these would have had the resources to start building an empire? Lastly, how many of these were defeated by a Shaper?
  2. Quote: Originally written by Suspicious Vlish: There's only one slight flaw with the Trajkov theory. It's mentioned in GF1 that the Sholai are physically distinct from the 'Shaper' race. If Monarch was indeed Trajkov, everyone would be able to recognize this and acknowledge that he ISN'T a rebel or shaper. I don't recall that, even though I'm not surprised, they don't get much contact. Anyways, after using the Geneforge, fleeing from Sucia, and living on Terresia a while, I'd think he'd look a little more native.
  3. I've recently fought over Monarch again, and a few things caught my eye. 1. Monarch is described as being extremly old 2. Monarch has pale skin 3. Monarch is arrogant (refering to you as "it", his journal) 4. Monarch built an Empire before, failed 5. Monarch was thwarted by a Shaper 6. Monarch has control batons Assuming Trajkov lives, we can see the following: 1. Trajkov is extremly old 2. Using the Geneforge, among other things, makes you pale 3. Using the Geneforge, among other things, makes you arrogant 4. Trajkov tried to build an Empire after using the Genefoge. 5. He was thwarted by the G1 Shaper 6. Trajkov could have accesed control batons on Sucia What's more, Dewry explains that Trajkov indeed used the Geneforge, although he didn't get the reasons right. Dewry then goes on to say that the Shapers defeated him. Lastly, he says that the stories aren't 100% factual. This has lead me to the conclusion that Trajkov escaped Sucia Isle after the purging of the Shapers. He gathered and honed his power, and the rebels then attacked. He went to Grosch, and the rest is history. Thoughts?

  5. Warrior= Crystals, hack & slash with creation ranged assistance Infiltrator= Crystals, daze (if more then one foe), pick off enemy 1 on 1 Servile= See above Lifecrafter= Crystals, ranged (baton or spell), send creations out front
  6. Fyora= Blaze, Ember, Flame, Spark Battle Class= Stupid, Idiot, Moron, Fool Artilla= Poison, Assassin, Acid, Vomit Vlish= Scrumptous, Delicous, Nutricous Cryoa= Frostbite, Snowball, Icecold, Antartica Drayk= Motrax, Bleu, Green, Smog Roamer= Vicky, Maggy, Abby, Tommy Beyond this I can't remember/usually fluctuate.
  7. Another thing that ticked people off is that the Shapers and Rebels were both evil, and you had to choose between the lesser of the two evils. The Shapers, as arrogant and elitist as ever (they relaxed this policy in G4) and the Rebels, terrorists who released monsters on the local populace.

  9. You probably don't care, but I think this is a horrible idea. Part of the fun of the game is that your character can't do everything. Plus the name is horrible.
  10. I'd say as is, elabouration and all. Now, why does this post feel like spam?
  11. Remember, I said unlimited resources, but limited time. Now, about the disease. I create the stealthy creations, already diseased, in the middle of no where, with me safe behind a barrier of flames. I give the creatures specific instructions on where to go (Other Continent), so that the possibilities of repercussions aren't likely. Just in case, I'd probably make another disease to destroy the original disease, and keep it in storage if needed.
  12. Your a General for the Rebellion or Shapers. You have unlimited resources and limited time. What new weapons do you create to destroy the enemy? As General Shelber (Servile) of the Rebellion, I would make the following: 1. Diseases that only affect those who can Shape 2. Stealthy creations to deliver said diseases 3. A new Human/Servile Geneforge 4. Canisters 5. Improved weaponry & armour 6. Save havens from the Unbound (Ashen Isles, Sucia Isle, Greyghost Mts.) 7. Recruitment Reform
  13. Quote: Originally written by Retlaw May: All the rebellion is doing is justifying the conservative hardliners among the Shapers. When the Shapers win the Rebellion causes them to take a firmer hand and more controll. Evolution of a society cannot always be forced. I believe that the Shapers were taking small steady steps as more among them felt a need for gradual change, but the Rebellion knocked them all back so the hardliners could say, "Hey look, we are totally justified!" Funny how all evolution towards creation rights, and general evolution as a society, has happened during the Rebellion. Also, to add to last response of Suspicous Vlish's, the Shapers also released rogue creations, like on the Forsaken Lands. Poor spies the Shapers thought were Rebel farmers.

People just do not get what we COULD do if we really tried. I mean look, about 20-30 people here can script, 10 or 13 can mod and at least 8 can make new senarios. (A totally random number based only very lossely on what I've seen so far) You realize that Spidweb can't afford to hire Spidwebbers? How many do you expect to actually volunteer large amounts of their time to make G5 the best game in the whole series? Not to mention that the engine that the scenarios use is completly different the Geneforge. So, all these hypothetical helpers would have to be taught from the bottom up. I'd rather have many small changes then one huge change. Avernum 4 is an example of this.
  15. Quote: Originally written by Emperor Tullegolar: Diki: You're talking about a high combat zone, plenty of both Shapers and Rebels, so of course there will be chaos and loose creations. Plus, the servile you meet there explains that rebels have been disguising themselves as civilians to place mines. Of course! If the Rebels launched an all out assault that doomed Illya, again, then the exact same thing would happen on both sides. Not to mention, the Shapers didn't know that the civilians weren't Rebels.
  16. Sorry for the late response. I was under the assumption that during the Siege of the Forsaken Lands, the Shapers sent many creations out into the former farmlands, without Shaper control. EDIT: Also, you think that the Drakons wouldn't eliminate rogues unless they would benifit.
  17. Quote: Originally written by Emperor Tullegolar: I was actually talking about rogue creations, but I'm glad you brought up rogue shapers. Note that whenever a shaper goes rogue, the majority of humans (especially in the case of Monarch) come together to eliminate the threat to the innocent. Humans go out of their way to protect the innocent, drakons do not. I thought that might be what you were talking about, but you have to realize that those rogue Shapers made Rogues. Of course, you probably want Loyalist Shapers making Rogues. To that, I point to the reason that they had no need to. Now, on to your point about the Monarch. Did the Rebels not fight the Monarch as well? Did the Rebels not fight what's her name (the crazed lifecrafter) in the Forsaken Lands? If some powerful Drakon, Drayk, or other Rebel started terrorising everyone and become a new Monarch, do you thing the Drakons would not take action?
  18. Quote: Originally written by Emperor Tullegolar: There was not a single Shaper rogue in the first three games. I don't remember any Shaper rogues in the fourth game, but if you can name some, I would be interested. G1- Geotsch (Whatever his name is) G2- Barzahl G3- Master Hoge G4- Shaper Monarch They were all Shapers, and they went rogue.
  19. Quote: Originally written by Emperor Tullegolar: Behold. Where do you fall? Nice image. Now, I'd say I'm either Rebel scum, or Awakened. Wouldn't you know my first character on Geneforge IV: Rebellion was a Servile. However, I sympathize with the Trakovites, and I think they should have their own little territory.
  20. Emperor Tullegolar and Co., The King who is born into power has to work hard to make himself a beloved figure. He deals with the most public relations, taxes, speeches, rallies, etc. The Prime Minister, who is voted in amongst the House of Represantives, deals with the things that deal with the public, but not directly, controlling the budget, etc. Lastly the President deals with foreign relations, war, diplomacy, aid, etc. -Goldenking P.S. Before I forget, the terms are as follows. The King serves until he dies, or if he wants to step down to the the Prince, who must be 20 years or older. If the King dies before the Prince is old enough a well liked former president takes his place. The President serves 5 years. The Prime Minister servers 2 years, and the Representatices serve 4 years.
  21. Quote: Originally written by Emperor Tullegolar: [QB]Tell me more about the Representatives. Would there be an even number of citizen, corporation, and military ones? This would be terrible. If the military and corporation could outvote the population, they would constantly by screwing them over. This is exactly what happened in the Estates General, where the nobility and clergy representatives always outvoted the population ones and screw them over... in France. Emperor Tullegolar, By no means would the corporate or military outweigh the civilians. There would be the representative for the mages, the representative for the navy, and the representative for the army, that would be all the army got. The corporations would get a representative for the three largest businesses. Now considering how large the Shaper Empire is, the civilians would outweigh the military and corporations by quite a bit. -Goldenking
  22. Quote: Originally written by Emperor Tullegolar: Goldenking: It seems the executive branch in your government does just about everything. What is the Senate responsible for? Emperor Tullegolar, The Senate is responsible for the same things. With majority of 55% percent they can overrule two of the higher leaders. With 75% majority they can overrule all three. -Goldenking
  23. Quote: Originally written by Emperor Tullegolar: Emperorking: 1. It would have to be until the king is dead, otherwise there will be succession problems. 2. A senate where the military and corporations get as many votes as the public? That sounds like the Estates General in France right before the revolution, a recipe for disaster. 3. Supreme Court dispensing justice? Isn't that the king's job? What is the point of the king at all in your government? It is all very confusing. Emperor Tullegolar, 1. Very well, until the king is dead. 2. You have a problem with prerevolutionary France? 3. The king, as well as the prime minister and president, would declare war, control the budget, stamp out rebellion, defend the nation, tell people what they are to be teaching in the schools, etc. -Goldenking
  24. Quote: Originally written by Emperor Tullegolar: Emperorking: 1. Why would the king ever try to have a child if he needs to worry about being replaced when he reaches 18? 2. Who chooses the representatives? 3. And finally, by being the same as the U.S. Supreme Court, do you mean have virtually no power at all? 1:Okay, how about until the son is 18, the king is 50, or the king is dead? 2: The people who it concerns. 3: I was being lazy there, dispense justice, make laws, hold power over the police.
