  1. do you think a 1/10 contest would be better? personally I'd actually prefer making a larger scenario than a 24-hr one, but I'm not too sure what other people want...
  2. ok, time for my weekly bump..how does this sound (might be a bit too generous?): dates: Saturday 5th - Saturday 19th what: 24hr contest rules: try to do the 24hrs in one go, if that's not possible, do it spread out over a period of 48hrs
  3. Sorry for the bump, but any more thoughts on this?
  4. Would a 24 hour or 1/10 contest work better? What sort of time would be best for people? (I'd prefer after about June 5th since I've got exams until then)
  5. anyone interested in another contest some time? I could do with something to actually get me to make another scenario.
  6. english->traditional chinese->simple chinese->english->greek->french->dutch->english->japanese->english->korean->english (i think…) The head which is clear is the parents about this. It the proper bottle probably that place time, when small stuff it being from a mind which to the very two dyne is many parents, will be able to use you whom puts.

  8. no idea how this would look, but what would dimming stuff outside the selected rectangle/brightening stuff inside be like?
  9. It might be interesting to see how the editor would work with a revamped interface, maybe with a more document-based approach, with the actual level in a separate window to the tools (and with options to make that window as big/small , zoomed-in/zoomed-out as you want...). for example, you don't really need icons for two spraypaints and brushes - just have one for each with further options accessible by clicking and holding on them like in photoshop or something.
  10. Could you just rar the zip file? (also: it's good to actually see some scenarios being released)
  11. if ET really doesn't mind there being lots of people creating characters who most likely can't play, I'll say Destruction/Merciful/Charisma - of course if anyone else would like that combination, please have it, since I doubt I'll end up being involved.
  12. (Liverpool Street station is actually in London)
  13. I found the combat a bit hard with level 1 party (but then I'm rubbish at combat..) so ended up going in with one towards the top end of the level requirement. There seemed excessively many skeletons on the deck to start with, but once I realised what I was meant to do there it made more sense, and on the whole the combat was quite enjoyable, and the gauntlet was an interesting challenge. The ship was well designed, I especially liked the masts and pointy thing out to the frontbowsprit that extended over multiple tiles (will have to steal that idea for extra large pillars in future scenarios...). Rating: [rating]Good[/rating]
  14. Basically what I said on shadowvale: Obviously it's short as a 24-hour scenario, but well-written and atmospheric. The graphics were good, with the Geneforge trees giving a nice effect, and I particularly liked the outdoors of the island. The angels worked well, the dungeon built up the tension, and the damage nodes did their job in making you seem in danger. Rating: [rating]Good[/rating]
  15. erm, no, he stated that he didn't want it listed on the CSR. I'm guessing that if he hadn't wanted it up here he'd have said so two weeks ago.
  16. Feel free to use Incorruptible if you need another short scenario.
  17. Why not just make a post in the review thread when a new version is released? All reviewers after that should be reviewing that version unless they clearly state otherwise.
  18. I think this is probably the best place to continue the discussion, since it's the most neutral of the suitable sites. Some ideas posed as questions that may or may not be useful: -Would Aran be willing for anyone else to work on the Blades Forge? I understand that he's busy, but if the CSR has to go somewhere else, that would seem a good place for it to go. -If the CSR is moved, might it be worth registering a separate domain name for it so that people don't object to whichever domain it is that it's on? -Would a chat be useful to bash out some more developed ideas that could then be voted on or discussed later?

  20. if you're using try_to_split_party, maybe you could instead replicate that with run_select_a_pc followed by split_off_one_char. Alternatively, random_party_member() might work - it definitely only selects living PCs, so it might only select the split character.
  21. If I ever get round to making it, I intend for my next scenario to be a fair bit longer (who knows, maybe it will even reach 15 minutes of playtime..).
  22. It looks like ctrl+arrow currently moves you to the corresponding edge of the outdoor section - maybe either use alt+arrow to move to the adjacent section, or make it so ctrl+arrow moves you to the adjacent section if either you're already at the edge, or you're in zoomed out 2d view.
  23. couldn't you make something like ctrl-arrow move to the adjacent outdoor section? (wow, 100 posts...took me long enough)
  24. If you want another mac tester, I'm available (though I definitely won't be able to test until tomorrow).
  25. A 24-hr scenario. You can get the mac version HERE and the windows version HERE. Thanks to Duck In A Top Hat, Dahak, Nioca and Ackrovan for testing (and thanks to Nioca for the much better name).
