Ephesos, December 9, 2009 in General
Works for me.
I should be able to make it, as long as the time isn't outrageous for me.
I think I can make it.
That date works for me.
Dikiyoba has no objections.
I'm all there.
Conditions should be perfect.
I'd like to spectate, if that's okay with you Ephesos.
Spectators are always always always welcome. Always. Seriously. All you have to do is this:
1. Go to the room spidwebRP.
2. Don't interrupt the game.
Yeah, well we started a forest fire and you didn't, so neener neener.
Come on now, be nice. Both parties failed in roughly equal amounts.
(And the creature that the Blood Marsh party faced was rolling horribly... and Osherl's gang was rolling comparably well. Sometimes the dice are weird.)
My dice are no more loaded than the dice that AIM provides. Take that as you will.
Also, we now have a roster for both adventures. If you haven't read everyone's backstory yet, now is the time to acquaint yourselves with them. And if you still haven't sent one to me, I highly recommend you do so.
Minor note: Amadan has the spell Cleanse, not Elemental Charge. I thought we both agreed that Elemental Charge was a bit too powerful for someone with 1 level in Transmutation.
Other than that, it looks nice.
Are you going to post the items that each character has, or no?
I won't be posting items, as it would just be too much clutter. Particularly with some of your inventories.
Also, I do not remember Cleanse. In fact, I don't remember the conversation. But yeah, okay. What was Cleanse again?
Cleans or purifies an object. Useful for purifying drinking water or simply removing the grime off of an object.
Ah, right. My bad... and the roster has been updated to reflect this.
Also, the pantheon has been updated.
You missed one spell on my roster
Life Transfer : Transfer a portion caster's life HP target healing them
Duly noted, fixed and updated.
I have to say, Eph, this Chamulsep fellow sounds rather dastardly.
Just a word of support. I've been reading the logs since The Labyrinth, and I find it all interesting and hilarious. I regret that I don't actually have the time to be a participant, or even a spectator, but I truly appreciate these RPs being available on Spidweb. Keep up the good work!
What Goldenking said. Go team(s) go!
EDIT: Oh, hey, Sliros. Yay!
Well, I'm glad that even non-players are enjoying it. Since I'm still unemployed, it's good to know that I'm at least doing something useful with my time.
Yup, was wondering when anyone would notice. The other Legends of Divinity personalities are welcome to lobby for appearances, for the record.
Also, since the last couple of snippets have been more tied to The Blood Marsh, I think it's time to put up something more relevant to Selos.
Naturally, such a child would be cursed with an interesting life.
The boy was almost immediately captured by bandits, and taken to the city of Sarden. In a city filled with miscreants, the boy fared surprisingly well, given how many were willing to kill to exploit his gift. It was here that he learned the extent of his power, as he kept himself alive simply by following the graceful arc of time.
To him, there was not always one future. But luckily, there was always one where the boy survived. He was fifteen years old when he misread a future and lost his left eye to a confused adventurer, but the disfiguring scar only improved his skill.
Less than a year after he lost his eye, he glimpsed a future more distant than ever before. A remote peak above the jungle, and a lonely quiet. Something dark moving at the edge, and then the vision faded. But he knew what awaited him. That night he fled Sarden, masterfully escaping the dungeon of his most recent captor, exactly as he knew he would.
His journey through the wilderness was unremarkable, in that no trouble ever befell him. When he arrived at E’Tarn, he knew he had found peace at last. In time, word of his gifts spread, and he attracted a following. They guarded him, and in return, he shared what he could see.
So came to be Khashen, the Oracle of Selos.
Hey, Nalyd could bring back Seoth? Swee-
Just kidding. Nalyd cringes whenever he looks back over what he wrote in LoD. Ah, well, live and learn.
So, Eph, would you care to tell us precisly which of Chamulsep's dastardly lieutenants actually inhabited the Blood Marsh?
I would guess the decay priestess. What with the swamp.
But who knows?
Methinks you have misunderstood the purpose of these little snippets. I'm not writing them to give spoilers. In fact, many of these contain information that the party members would definitely not know. For instance, Chamulsep's lieutenants? That all happened aeons ago. That's gonna take one heck of a History check. And besides, do any of them sound like they'd be appropriate encounters you?
This stuff is for the players, learning about the kind of world this is. And it's also for me, solidifying the stuff that makes the world tick.
Probably can't make Friday without being late/inebriated. Apparently, I've been booked for a leaving party since my friend knew she was moving away 8 months ago, and I just got reminded today. Sorry.
. . . I can heal. . .
Ack, sorry. Meant magical healing, my bad. Understand that it's not that I forgot about Sawbones, just that there is an underlying block in my brain regarding healing in RPGs. Think about early Avernum... who would've used First Aid over Priest Spells?
Hmm. I'm not sure I've translated the time into my timezone properly. Can someone give me an estimate on how long until the game starts?
If it's 5:00 PM Central again, that would be about 17 1/2 hours from when I post this.
Crap. I don't think I'll be able to make it. Because of the time difference that's actually on Saturday for me, and I'll be attending a wedding.
Oof. Well, do not despair... Sss-Tkss can still join the party later in the action, we'll just have to work out a quick explanation for the absence (nothing too worrisome).
So for the record, the game will begin in 15 hours and 40 minutes, pending inevitable delays that will result from people being late/hungry/inebriated/whatever.
Hey, Ephesos, Dikiyoba appears to be in possession of a spiffy new d20. Can Dikiyoba use that next session and just report the rolls in chat? Dikiyoba promises not to fake the numbers (although the die does appear to be loaded, so it's not like misreporting will be needed anyway).
I just know I can't make it to the session the school decides its is a right time to do some sort of ceremony
Hey Eph: Ditch these losers and do Team Selos again.
Um, Bloodmoon? You are aware that you're on the other team, correct? It's alright if you miss this session.
Remember, today is The Blood Marsh's session, not the Selos party. We'll try to get going at 5PM CST, but it's entirely possible nothing will happen in the first hour.
No. Come on, I know for a fact you'll just use your time machine and keep going back until you get a 20. And no, I'm not helping you find places to sleep for all the copies of you.
Looks like I'll be there at the scheduled time.
