Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Thanks!!! That Shaping Council is a pain. I tried it with a servile, but they kept absorbing my esssence. It's hard to swing a sword with no arms.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
Hey, how do I get past that super-powered magical barrier in the Vahnatai cave?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
You need the ruby slippers. Click your heels together three times and say, "There's no place like Oglai."
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Olgai, actually. —Alorael, who had even more fun with the easter egg in the easter egg: say "there's no place like 'eas ter egg'" and you get sent to some very familiar coordinates. He's sure there's a way to Generic Land, but he hasn't figured it out yet.
Well-Actually War Trall Micawber
So there really is no place like Oglai, and not even Oglai.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
There is an Oglai, actually, but it's most definitely not where you want to be before you have a Cryohydra or two shaped. —Alorael, who has not had fun killing the flaming undead shapers in the labs there. The Takers are nuttier than ever!
Unflappable Drayk MagmaDragoon
Hey, why you don't just open a betatesters topic? Anyway, is a pity that I'm not one...
Well-Actually War Trall Delicious Vlish
So... Has anybody encountered the Battle Omega yet? Still haven't figured what his weakness is. The Shaper Council Crypt remains unplundered. And has anybody noticed that the new Magic Creation is a blatent rip off of Metroid?

Well-Actually War Trall Delicious Vlish
Shaper Council created their own doom. Just use Dominate on all of the creations they summon. Just beware of the Null Glaahks. Stupid anti magic cloud.
Understated Ur-Drakon Sudanna
Besides, they're having enough fun tormenting us with the possibility that Geneforge 4 will be exactly like Avernum 4, but with more hype. Don't you just hate not knowing where you put your hacking manual?

You need a face-leaping spider, because the battle omega is completely armored everywhere else. But there's only one canister of create face-leaping spider in the game, and it's behind a door with a lock too complicated to be picked. But if you can defeat (read: stay alive for five rounds) Vali the uber-drakon, he'll bash the door open for you. And be sure to ask him about the mysterious fourth faction while you're there, because you won't get a chance to come back. Dikiyoba. Edit: Typo. Understated Ur-Drakon Nioca
This has gone from probably not factual to rather ridiculous to absolutely INSANE.

Understated Ur-Drakon Nioca
That'd probably have more impact if I knew what FYT stood for.

If your Gumption is over 4 then you can bully Vali into bashing the door without picking a fight, but I don't get why people don't just walk over the stepping stones, through the archway, and through the unblocked wall. Understated Ur-Drakon Sudanna
Also, in the Non-Spiderweb world, FYT stands for **** You Too. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Almost done with the game and I'm planning to run a servile next time. Has anyone tried the vampire option (about halfway into the game)? Since Jeff's working on the documentation there isn't anything about how it works. I didn't want to try as a shaper type with my lousy to hit chance for the bite attack. I was wondering if it gives enough health back to make it worth trying?
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
The trick with the vampire is to have a bunch of creations that hit things easily, and then equip the Magic Blessed Spawnerskin Torc of Incantatorialistic Burning Wizardry, so you get the HP bonus from your creations. As a side note this finally makes it worthwhile to invest in Endurance, at least when it's cheap. Has anyone found a use for the Ring of Ma'Ruf that's hidden in Learned Darian's toilet yet?
Well-Actually War Trall Delicious Vlish
Try killing Learned Darian. But do not, I repeat, DO NOT put on the Binding of Wisdom. Sure, the stat bonuses are great, the essence and energy boost is huge, and the +5 to spell level damage in combat is a dream for casters... But the effect of what it does is unpleasant. At least now we understand the whole he/she confusion.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Wish for Geneforge 5 is that Jeff finally has time for male and female versions of each character class. Still the new character graphics are better than the older ones.
