Tenderfoot Thahd Kartos
I feel really stupid posting this, considering I'm almost to the end of the game... but how do I get into Sulfras's treasure room? There's a hidden switch right across from the dragon, but it's behind a statue so I can't press it. Thanks! XD
Easygoing Eyebeast Triumph
I'm pretty sure you have to actually kill Sulfras first.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Kreador
You can't get in the treasure room while Sulfras is alive, as far as I know.
Tenderfoot Thahd Kartos
Hahaha, I was wondering if that was it. Is there any good reason to kill Sulfras, besides getting the stuff? Do I even need anything in there? I don't use pole arms, so that's out.

Curious Artila Bane of Rebels
The only thing worth it in Sulfras's hoard is the Talisman of Might. I believe it's the only one in the game.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
Since we killed 1 dragon already killing 2nd doesn't mean much. Weren't Pyrog and Sulfras alive at Avernum 2 or do I remember wrong?
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
Sulfras was. Pyrog stays dead, and his/her lair (which gender are they in this game?) gets used as a fort for the Empire, IIRC.

Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
Motrax refers other dragons as brothers so I assume Motrax is only female, Sulfras doesn't speak much to me atm due I completed its quests and Khoth and Athron are "bit" far from ToM and Sulfras lair. They pretty much change from game to game, actually. Somebody (Lilith?) posted a table of the genders of each dragon for each game; I'm pretty sure Motrax is always a male (except maybe in Exile 1/2), and Athron is pretty much always a female, but as far as I remember, they all switch at some point. Rotghroth Rhapsody The Reverend
Maybe changing genders is part of the life cycle of dragons ...
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
I don't have the table, but Motrax is the only one who is stable, and he's male. Why would calling other dragons brothers make him female? I manage to have brothers without being a woman. —Alorael, who thinks the generally accepted, fanonical genders are female for Athron and Sulfras and male for Khoth, Motrax, and Pyrog. I guess what Earth Empires was getting at is if Motrax is calling all the other dragons his brothers, they're probably male, and so Motrax would be the only female. Except he isn't female, so it all kind of falls apart. But hey, the logic still kind of works!
Unflappable Drayk ĐªгŦĦ Єяŋϊε
doesn't melanchion call athron his mother?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Athron in Avernum 3 has given birth to another generation.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Kreador
So maybe dragons in Avernum are like reef fish. They change gender at some point in life based on the current needs of their life cycle.
Ineffable Wingbolt Milla
In this game he refers to them all as brother but then mentions that some are female and that is just what he refers to them as. Also in the remake he isn't related to them but sees them as younger peers.
