Burgeoning Battle Gamma Parakeet
I notice on the who's online listing, there are 4 colors, clearly explained, there are Registered folks named (mostly) & "guests". Down at the bottom there is the statement that there are "0 Spiders online". Somehow I doubt it's the cheery friendly spiders from Avenum that are being referred to. I've never seen any number other than zero there in the time I've been on. So...what are the "spiders" referred to & what do they do? They don't seem to be Administrators, Moderators or Global moderators. Curiously your, Parakeet
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
spiders=admin, mostly its jeff (or wife) and that mirrored r. I think I haven't seen mod's (green) post, only global hosts (blue) and admins (red).
Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
BainIhrno has a green title. He gets on occasionally.
Ineffable Wingbolt MMXPERT-seraph of thermodynamics
I want a green title now for some reason. (not modship, just a green title :3)
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
Spiders are not admin. Spiders on that page refer to web-crawling search engine spiders, that index pages.

Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
There are three other local mods besides BainIhrno, but none that have posted in the last year. Can you figure out who they are? —Alorael, who thinks he's seen up to 7 spiders. He's not sure that there are even that many remaining search engines. Well-Actually War Trall Actaeon
Google, Yahoo!, Baidu, Bing, Ask... I suppose it depends on if you count derivative and meta-engines.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
I've seen two of the other local mods in the Who's Online list from time to time. You have to watch closely. Also some people have to stop playing with the board settings not to turn the rest of us green.

I'm sure I've seen his current handle (Silent Motion?) with a green or red tint. Most likely green, right? Pass on the others.

Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Brett Bixler's an admin, for some reason, and his name is emblazoned in glorious red when he shows up. —Alorael, who cries foul for taking another's answer, adding more vowels, and passing it off as your own. That's the Hiricikis trick, and it doesn't fool anyone.

Ineffable Wingbolt BMA
Who's this Bixler everyone's talking about? I don't think I've seen his post anywhere. Hm, maybe you can change the colour using this UBBcode stuff ? If so I'm going to redden my name so everyone will think I'm an admin. Edit: I tried italics, but it just made my name look stupid. Apparently the UBBcode doesn't work on the name box. :sulk:

Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Or you can persuade a member to write a modification to make Geneforge playable using Blades of Avernum. Keladon thought it was theoretically possible to imitate most things from the older games.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
Correction, before somebody runs away with Randomizer's loose wording: He means to IMITATE Geneforge using BoA. BoA would never be able to duplicate a number of aspects of the Geneforge engine. And even getting BoA to imitate Geneforge mechanics would be a Herculean task. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The hardest part was treating the creations as party NPCs that would transfer from zone to zone plus have Geneforge abilities.
Ineffable Wingbolt BMA
You would also be moving around in towns with seven creations trailing along in a single line, with the ability to move only in straight lines or right angles, and even without the nice walking animation. :shudder: Yay, 100th post
