  1. I think there should have been an option between the last two options. I would probably be involved in a violent resistance that did not go nearly as far as the 4th option.
  2. And living tools are little creatures that burrow into a lock to push things around and open it.
  3. They make the screen brighter around the character. Sometimes useful in dark dungeons.
  4. Isn't that enough? I think it may also have an effect on poison % and damage.
  5. That's correct - the armor reduces your to-hit %. But really it has such a small effect because you can build up your to-hit% really easily.
  6. All three types would be on the field, although you'd probably see fewer Guardians as most of the fighting will be between creations and involved long-distance magic spell-flinging. Probably Guardians would stand back and hurl Reaper batons while killing and creations that break through and advance on the Shapers and Agents.
  7. He does it once a day. And this is a question better asked over PM than on the boards proper.
  8. The Geneforge in GF4 is very different from the Sucia Geneforge. The GF4 Geneforge takes non-Shapers and gives them the ability to Shape. The GF1 Geneforge takes Shapers and makes them uber, like having dozens of canisters at once.
  9. Yeah. There should be a little cutscene and then you run to the north and try not to die.
  10. Trajkov was the leader of the Sholai from Geneforge 1. His story has been passed down and no doubt changed many times, along with his name, in order to become a legendary character in the Shaper world.
  11. Health? You can get to every square inch of the Warded Sea Caves by using those boxes and not taking a single point of damage.
  12. I don't know ... the Exile III sound for discovering a secret door was pretty satisfying too.
  13. http://www.sitemouse.com/users/drakefyre/walk.html#newfactorye3 Use the priest spell Location to find your current location.
  14. It's much better than BoE's boring white. Maybe it's supposed to be that glowing moss/fungus we hear so much about.
  15. For the copy and past icons, look at the BoE editor icons for examples.
  16. I used submission batons in conjunction with the control rod.
  17. Empire Archers are my favorite capture. Having discussions like this reminds me how much I loved Exile III, and why it's still my favorite non-BoE spidweb game.
  18. I'm pretty sure that each image has a different vulnerability ... the first one seemed to be vulnerable to ice damage, others after were different.
  19. You can also cast Slow All and Mass Paralysis to stop them all from coming at you at once. Or have your priest cast Mass Sanctuary at the end of each round so that they can't see or hit you.
  20. It's called the Beastslayer Blade, and yes, that's something you'll have to deal with. The Black Halberd does comparable damage anyway.
  21. Aimee leaves something for you in Avernum 2 and gets some mentions, but doesn't appear after A1.
  22. Avatar and Major Blessing are both great spells. So are Kill, Divine Thud, and Death Arrows, and Firestorm.
  23. There are several ghosts of old shapers, though.
  24. The most valuable melee skills have always been Parry and Quick Action.
  25. Parasitic Shade wasn't bad. For me the killer was Mystithus pre-nerfing. That beta version of Mystithus was absolutely brutal on torment with a missile weapons servile.
