How did the Vahnatai see in the caves then? If you look at Vahnatai lands in Avernum 2 compared to Avernum lands, there's a whole lot more glowy stuff down there.

You can get a Glaakh eye from the Glaakh in Southforge Citadel cells, by where you meet Miranda.

I had a servile with high missile and high blessing/medium mental. I would run through with Daze and Speed, and when there were monsters I liked to put in a corner, Spine Shield was amazing.

The only way I've ever been able to beat the center of Purity Workshop B has been to take them one by one. Go around the corner, attract the attention of one or two monsters, and then run away. When they follow you, enter combat mode and kill them, then go back and repeat.

I don't know if you're in the right section or going far enough in ... it's in the far SE of the Forsaken Lands, and what will kill you are a Battle Alpha and a Glaakh, not a roamer.

Mystithus was the worst until Jeff toned him down - basically unkillable, *and* four copies would follow me around the town making it virtually impossible to escape.

Monarch was a fun long fight as my missile servile on Torment. It was never really in doubt, though.

The endgame is considerably more difficult when playing as a servile cultist. Since you didn't use the geneforge, you can only gain skills through self-flagellation, which isn't too bad in the early game but gets extremely bad when you need to augment shields with steel spines facing inwards instead just to get that third level of Mass Energize.

If you use the editor to leave town, you can then use it to return to the start.

You can do one of three things: 1) Cast Restore Mind. 2) Drink a Potion of Clarity. 3) Go to a healer.

If you're willing to use the character editor to raise item lore, you might as well use it to identify items too.
