  1. Although it is also mentioned that the Shapers stared off on the west coast of the continent, and also that the originally came from Sucia. I guess it is possible that they went from Sucia on the east all the way around to the west if it provided better living conditions. Either that, or Jeff just lost track of all that he had said, which he openly admits happens frequently
  2. Yes, that's it. My memory seems to failing already... quite worrying, seeing as how im not even in my 20's...
  3. I would be inclined to say that Sucia is north, no to far away from the Ashens. I seem to remember that in at least one of the GF1 endings, you return to the one town that is in ruins in the northern area of GF4.
  4. Haha I never noticed that you could get a key before killing Makar, that'll make my next playthrough much easier...
  5. Thank you scorpia for reviving my faith in reviews! That one was actually legit.
  6. Unless I am mistaken, the reviewer actually owned the full copy. If you look at the screen shot in the 2nd link, it doesn't say that areas marked with a "?" are not available in the demo. It may have changed, but I thought that only and always showed up with the demo. And the 2nd review link posted has been seen and thrashed here before. It seems like most reviewers have no appreciation for anything more than a glossy kill fest.
  7. Fair enough, but it really bugs me when they fail to thoroughly explore the game and write the review after less than an hour of play time.
  8. I refuse to respect a reviewer who doesn't even notice the second character screen with the shaper classes.
  9. My favorite autokill is in I think it's thistlewood, where the bandits allow you to surrender. Also, if you kill or even attack any faction leader, Ghaldring for sure, there are autokill nodes unless you have a specific quest.
  10. I've always played as a shaper, except when I played GF1 soo many years ago and I had no idea what an RPG really was and didnt realize there were differences between the classes.
  11. The unfinished golems are unnecessary and, like I did, can be killed immediately for the exp. If you're having trouble with 7 plated bugs, something is wrong. With 2 bugs and 2 plated bugs, life regeneration, war blessing, shielding, and sometimes speed (I think), it was a piece of cake on hard.
  12. My last playthrough, I dealt enough damage with my 2 bugs and 2 plated bugs to kill the golems, kill the helper golems, kill the dark golem after taking him over, and kill the master of the area, with only 1 essence pod. All I can say is: do all the sidequests you can before attempting the stoneworks.
  13. I encountered the 5 different creation limit as well, although it really isn't that big of a deal. Just wondering, does anyone know why this would be? Is it some engine limitation (aka Jeff didn't feel like adding the lines in)??
  14. Actually, I prefer the living tool usage in 1. You could use just a few of the total and then the unlock spell for the rest!
  15. The only two that I can recall well enough are 5 and 4, and they are both fantastic. I never played 3, and it seems I didn't miss much. I really liked 2 and 1, but it has been a while and i can't deal with the engines now that I've seen 4 and 5's engines.
  16. Ah, excellent, I was wondering when I would get one, and I'm heading into that area very soon.
  17. Just wondering: has anyone made a GF5 version of Croikle's editor?

  19. Like I said, if no one can help you, email Jeff, although he's currently online.
  20. Yeah, a true Shaper is really only good for carrying loot, blessing, and mental magic.
  21. Generally, they don't disappear before you kill them... I have no idea what is wrong, and if no one else can help you, I would email Jeff.
  22. Someone mentioned this earlier, and Jeff said something like this: You have the graphic quality set to low so it doesn't draw all the extra graphics. In the in-game menu, there is an option somewhere to draw all the extra graphics.
  23. I know it's been posted, but I don't know when/where, I'll look.
