Divine Lucre we haven't seen a while so maybe they make reappearance at A6 since Anama is pretty much destroyed at A5.

maybe jeff starts new trilogies which aren't related to avernum or happen in distant future.

Yeah that undead Slith looks same as undead Slith in upper Slith land at Temple is but doesn't have same "death-spell" than Slith at Temple. There are some "normal" undeads at those doors which naturally attack you.

you've done something wrong (or walked to bug) so my suggestion is to restart and uninstalling and deleting all files related to a3 and reinstall it might be good to do.

there are 200 threads which contain word valorim so not that easy to find w/o better hint.

What are you gonna do to their heads?

I had Helm of Klin at fighters (if there's 2 at A5, if not then 1 of fighter had Warmaster Helm prolly) and Runed Helms at spellcasters due Magery bonus, scs used mostly shield breaker and leg sweep disciplines, sometimes well-aimed blows too.

most what you can get by crafting you can find while wandering around so .......... only worth crafting is making knowledge potions/brews and wisdom crystals at Muck.
