AVERNUM:ESCAPE FROM THE PIT is a remake of AVERNUM 1 starting a third trilogy from what I have understood, But AVERNUM 4-6 are a REMAKE of AVERNUM 1-3 as well or they CONTINUE the story of the first trilogy? It wasn't remade, it was made in parallel. —Alorael, who will also go ahead and jump on the "third trilogy" above. It's really most helpful to think of it as two trilogies, 1-3 and 4-6. Exile 1-3 and Avernum 1-3 are both first trilogy games. A:EftP and its sequels will be the first trilogy again.
