Kyshakk Koan Firecage
I know this is prob impossible. But it would be cool if A6 had Volarim, Upper Avernum, Avernum, Northen Frontier, Vahnatai Lands, and a few other places. It would actually rock. Garrulous Glaahk Neossokrass
The gamesss would be far to big. Good in theory, but certainly not plaussible. I know I ssure as hell would lose interesst.
Easygoing Eyebeast *i
I'll put it this way: More is not always better.
Understated Ur-Drakon Callie
In order to have a world that big Jeff would pretty much be forced to include a whole slough of generic shopkeepers and fifty different people named Merry. A1-A3 have about 100 outdoor areas per game, plus towns; A4 and A5 each have another 100 zones each, at least. The terrain data alone would probably be as large as any three games in the series combined. Then you add in people, objects, monsters, and all the major & minor quests. A game of this magnitude would probably take about five years to write, another year or two to debug, and six months of nonstop play to go from beginning to end. And a series of portals similar to the setup in A4/A5 in order to move your party anywhere in a reasonable length of time.
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
And a plot strong enough to carry us all the way through. Like Neossokrass said, its a cool thing to think about, but it isn't ideal. Mystic: lordofdc said probably, by the way. Well, prob, but you get the message. Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
would require tons of quests to do and tons of monsters and boss monters to kill otherwise it would be mostly walking from 1 place to other if no portal near, possible if done in episodes that all areas are their own subgames but even still would require damn good plot to make us finish that. Burgeoning Battle Gamma olop4444
Only combo of A1, A2, A3, A4, and A5, where you play through the entire series in one game and with one party, could possibly have that many areas.

Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
One game. You start and play through Avernum 1. When you win your same party continues at the beginning of A2. Your party progresses through the entire series. —Alorael, who doesn't think that would actually help. The games would require such immense rebalancing for an extremely overleveled party or much lower experience and equipment gains that it would require programming and balancing all the games again. They don't share an engine. The protagonists of A5 are from the Empire and the protagonists of A1-4 are decidedly not.

Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Botched server migrations will do that. —Alorael, who could live with a world full of Merry. Perhaps a Nethergate sequel should be set in a Merry England that is Merrier than most.
