  2. I drink a glass of rice milk a day. I mainly drink water, some real milk, and citrus juices when my mom buys it (I won't drink orange juice that has added sugar. Seriously, doesn't it have enough natural sugar to begin with?).
  3. Have you received my report yet Duck? I sent it on Monday and you still haven't replied.
  4. I'm not convinced that diet soda is any healthier than regular soda. I certainly wouldn't drink diet soda if I was on a diet. The same goes with fat-free ice cream.
  5. The only soda I'll ever drink is homemade root beer. Otherwise, it's just carbonated sugar water, and the carbonation burns my mouth.

  9. I finished The Grapes of Wrath two weeks ago. Steinbeck is one of my favorite authors, and I refrained from reading it because I knew I'd have to read it for my Literature class. I was disappointed. It wasn't entertaining, and its sole purpose seems to be propoganda and not anything meaningful. Much of the dialog is pointless, and I didn't find the story any bit interesting until I had read four hundred pages already. Anyways, I'm going to start reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.
  10. Relax, it will be finished around the same time as the death match.
  11. Rating: [rating]Good[/rating] Surprisingly, despite the scenario's short size, I have a lot to say about it. There are some flaws, but you'd definitely be missing out if you haven't played it. Click to reveal..
  12. I'm pretty sure a scenario doesn't get a composite score with only three reviews.
  13. Local flora A dead tree (In Oregon) Annie Falls (Just outside of Crater Lake, in Oregon. I'm not sure about the spelling) Crater Lake Glass art (The Museum of Glass, in Tacoma, Washington. This was one of the few places where you could take pictures) Grasshopper
  14. Sorry for being late, but the interruption in the middle of the game meant I left for vacation before the game actually ended (I died, fortunately). Basically, I was at a disadvantage because I had absolutely no idea who Gladwell was. People were reluctant to give me information because I couldn't direct them to Gladwell, so I ended up revealing my role in return for information. That didn't seem to hurt me at first, because Alorael came late in the game, though I jumped to conclusions and thought he was Gladwell. I killed Andraste because the three people who I thought were DLs (Andraste, Nioca, wz. As) seemed to have stopped talking to me after word got around that I was the Bound Servant, so I assumed I was one of their targets (ironically, I was). Since Gladwell hadn't been replaced by an alternate, I figured that I'd have one free shot for myself, and I heard Andraste was Domont, so it made sense to go in for the kill. Originally Posted By: Marlenny His first shot would be to go straight for the Anama. QFT When I played Dionicio, joining the Anama helped tremendously. Not only did I have access to information, we managed to kill all the DLs on the first night, which meant I won on the first day (I killed the DL mage, which meant the only way I could lose is by dying, since my kill satisfied the alternate Anama victory condition). Also, apologies to *i for submitting actions so early. For some reason, I kept thinking that Eastern time is four hours ahead of me instead of three.
  15. I just finished Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity by John Stossel. I was actually reading something else, but I bought it recently, peeked at the beginning, and didn't stop reading it.
  16. Having armor repair in a game would pretty much force you to find materials used to repair it. It'd be pretty annoying to search all over Avernum just to find an iron bar to fix your chain mail (I've never seen any steel lying around). Plus, it'd force the player to train in a skill that only has one purpose, and costs money as well. Money is needed for stuff like spells and training in combat-related skills. Granted, first aid is kind of useless, but you don't have to train in it to heal yourself.
  17. I for one, really like the new edit to coins. The second picture looks a bit too cluttered for my taste, but overall, it looks nice. Great work!
  18. Thank you. I had thought that it would also work when calling an encounter, but I guess not.
  19. Sarachim attacked Nioca with a physical attack. That means that Nioca has physical immunities.
  20. I've looked at how the call was used in Valley of Dying Things, and it doesn't seem to be used differently than the way I'm trying to use it. Whenever I enter the encounter, the town used for the fight is one of the cave towns in the Blades of Avernum Out Fight file. The town I intend it to use is an import from the Out Fight file, but edited so that it has a lot of bushes and more terrain frills, in addition to a few cliffs away from the center. Here's the script: Code: beginstate 12; if (get_flag(200,2) != 0) end(); set_out_fight_town_loaded(7); message_dialog("The nearby bushes, once quiet, now stir violently. Within moments a troop of bandits reveals itself from the foliage. They seem to recognize their prey, and they're not surrendering their ground anytime soon.",""); create_out_spec_enc(1);break; Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
  21. I can contribute coins if anyone needs the ring of magery.
  22. Wait a second...look at my conversation with Tarson. I didn't realize it, but look at the boldfaced words. He was basically claiming that he had solid evidence that Nioca was the trickster. Also notice how he keeps dodging my evidence that Nioca is Vahkos. Then, at the end, he says Nioca might be Dionicio. How is that supposed to make any sense? Also notice Tarson's comments in this thread. His first three posts are in conformance with the "Nioca is Vahkos, let's kill him" bandwagon, then he suddenly changes heart and says that Nioca isn't in any danger and that he's created enough "unknown" to protect him. Either they're the Pure Spirit/Dionicio combo or two DLs. In other words, Nioca probably isn't Vahkos, he's just adopting a very unusual strategy. Also, by observing the Who's Online list, I've noticed that Nioca keeps viewing a Private Message. I don't think he'd actually be trying to convince anyone. He's probably talking with his ally, or something like that. Click to reveal.. Originally Posted By: Excalibur Would you happen to know who Gladwell is? 23. What else is he going to do when the mob backs him into the corner?
  24. So in order to prove you're not Vahkos you shoot yourself in the foot and announce that you're a role with a lot of enemies? ...especially an enemy that people often use poison against, which Vahkos is immune to...
