Meh, the New York Ave./Tennessee Ave./St. James Place monopoly is a lot better than the Boardwalk/Park Place monopoly. Edit: partially sniped

~700 million people have played Monopoly. That doesn't mean that all of those 700 million people own a Monopoly board, nor does it mean that all of them play it often. Sure, a lot of people know how to play chess, but that doesn't mean they play it on a regular basis (or even have a chess board). I'd imagine that a lot of people who have played World of Warcraft own the game, and play it on a regular basis, or at least much more so than chess.
  4. Option ten is the only one that makes sense. Anyways, the polling for the new UBB is pretty bad...the old one was better. The old one let you edit the poll while you were making it, which greatly reduced the chance of making a mistake. (Yeah, still a graphical glitch) Edit: The topic title is too long.
  5. One of the options somehow ended up being in the margin...and clicking the button somehow selected two buttons at once... Edit: I see you made another poll...
  6. Wow, you must really love the games if you went to the extent of buying a new computer. And here I was thinking I was a big fan...

Generally, I'd frown upon texting while driving, but I do understand why some businesspeople and whatnot do it. It doesn't justify the high risk involved, but it's at least more excusable than doing it to flirt with someone. There's also bluetooth, but that costs money. This bugs me as well, though it's almost impossible to avoid at one of the intersections in town. Sometimes, it will become green for one second (no exaggeration), flash a yellow light, and then turn red. It causes quite a bit of confusion, and I'm surprised it hasn't caused any accidents.

I was never interested in the Sims, and the new SimCity games don't look like they're worth the money. Spore looks like it might be fun, but my computer is too old to run it.
  9. If I remember correctly, the nominations were made just two weeks after Obama took office, which again, is kind of odd. 10. If I'm driving in an urban area I'll go with the flow, but I'm not aggressive when it comes to lane changes and whatnot, so I'll typically end up being in one of the right lanes. I do punch through intersections if need be, but I don't do that often. If there's a stop sign, I always make a full and complete stop, never a California stop. If I'm not in an urban area, I'll almost always drive at or below the speed limit, unless I'm driving in Oregon. Nevada has a nice 75 mph speed limit on the highway, and I don't see a need to go any faster than that. Speeding usually doesn't save you much time, unless you're going a long distance.

  12. If you get a screen of death (whether it's blue or gray, or black) your computer has already been affected in a bad way, so I'm not sure what you mean.

  14. Quote: This is a small object. While someone might pay you for it, it has no useful abilities on its own. Quality materials such as this can be worked into quality armor and weapons. Craftsmen in some of the towns may take metal, leather, and so on, and convert it into gear for you. This is the description of a focusing crystal, but it's also the description for fine leather, fine steel, etc (the first paragraph is used for a lot of different items in A5). Though it's an improvement upon the first trilogy, it's still more generic, and lacks the humor that E3 had in its item descriptions. The first trilogy (and BoA) is even worse, as its item descriptions are like this: Quote: This is a two-handed weapon. It weighs 20.0 pounds. It's worth 150 coins. This weapon does 2-14 points of damage plus 1-7 points per level of Strength and Pole Weapons skill. Abilities: None.
  15. There are no E3-like item descriptions in the Avernum series, just a generic description of the item's stats.

I find it particularly annoying when the person tailgating me is an elderly person. Come on! I'm sixteen and I'm going the speed limit, why can't you?

I don't like it when people with Windows computers don't bother to check for spyware (and they seem to almost always use Internet Explorer). So one day, they decide that it's broken, throw it away, and buy another one...*shudders* It's surprising how many people in our modern world are technologically challenged.

What's more fun is when you accidentally drop lithium into the barrel of the Bunsen burner.

That's right, practically everyone has them. It might be something relatively minor such as knuckle cracking, or it could be a constant annoyance from something like a dog. For me, I usually hate it when people use the phrase "same difference," since more often then not, they just said something unintelligent, like saying Iraq and Afghanistan or Japanese and Chinese are the "same difference" (Yes, I've actually had people tell me that before). I also hate it when I see people buy water from a vending machine when there's a perfectly good drinking fountain just inches away from it. Then they tell me they're going to reuse the bottle by refilling it at the fountain, but then I see them at the vending machine the next day. Way to make use of our local landfill... Oh, and ending a sentence with three exclamation marks and four question marks is pretty annoying. What about you?
