  1. No, my PM box is fine... Try e-mailing me the link. [scrub]
  2. I'll do it. I'm on Windows XP, and it seems my 24 hour scenario is now a regular scenario.
  3. I feel your pain. I've hit this too: Celtic Minstrel is right. Basically, whenever you use the relocate_character() on any critter outside a cutscene, PC or not, it screws up the party's movement, causing exactly what you described. There's no way to fix it, either. Aside from not using the relocate_character() call
  4. Coming at it from a different (less sleep-deprived) perspective, that does sound better. *smacks self upside the head* Anyway, I'll self-impose those limits. They sound like a fair idea, and I'm all for fairness here. So: Session 1 - 1:51 AM to 2:23 AM (32 Minutes, leaving 23.46 hours) Session 2 - 4:22 AM to 11:17 AM (6 Hours 55 Minutes, leaving 16.55 hours)
  5. As far as I'm aware, there was no agreement either way. If I'm too late, well, I'm still trying for a scenario under 24 hours. Oh, And... OUT 5:00 AM IN 5:09 AM OUT 5:30 AM IN 6:35 AM OUT 7:32 AM IN 9:21 AM OUT 10:03 AM IN 10:30 AM OUT 11:17 AM So, aside from discovering I have the design method of an attention-deficit fruit fly, I now have 1227 minutes (20.45 hours) remaining.
  6. Seeing as I have produced absolutely nothing for... *goes back to check* *thinks better of it* ...a while, I'm in. Thus far: 06/11/2009 * CLOCKED IN at 1:51 AM, CLOCKED OUT at 2:23 AM, for a total of 32 minutes. * CLOCKED IN at 4:22 AM, CLOCKED OUT at 4:30 AM, for a total of 8 minutes. (It occurred to me that posting this might be a good idea at this point, plus I encountered spreadsheet trouble) TIME USED THUSFAR: 40 Minutes (0.6 Hours) Since my internet status will be somewhat shaky, and thus will have difficulty posting clock-in and clock-out, I'm keeping a running log on my computer. And I'm off to a good excellent absolutely awesome start thusfar! So, without further ado, CLOCKING IN at 4:54 AM
  7. Online? No. But I know The Eternal (Nikki's 24hr Scenario) has some outdoor docks, so you might want to take a look at those. Just make sure to credit it properly.
  8. Simply hold the Control (Ctrl) key when clicking on the height to alter.
  9. My Documents -> Spiderweb Software -> Geneforge 5 Saved Games -> Geneforge5Settings.dat That's where it's stored on Windows, anyway.
  10. Check for a back-up. If you're using the 3D Editor, it occasionally (meaning without any rhyme or reason) makes a file named "[scenario].bas.bak". If you rename it to remove the ".bak", it's a perfectly usable ".bas" file.
  11. Double post, but since the last round has ended, I thought I'd post a refurbished role idea: Brigand Nationality: Avernum Skill: Stealth Attack: Physical Immunities: None Abilities: Once per day, can: (1) Scan a person and see how many coins they carry. (2) Anonymously demand coins from a person. Any coins sent to "Brigand" will automatically reach you, and if you make a kill, you gain any and all coins that person was carrying. You are effectively enemies with everybody; while you will normally win first strike in an attack, anyone attacking you will also get first strike. Goal: Have 120 coins by the end of the game.

Everyone needs a bit of luck to win. Not what I meant. His victory conditions contradict his role as a team-builder. You couldn't actually trust him, since he could be trying to make you lose. EDIT: See Sarachim below. He explains it better.
  13. Hmmm... Well, first thoughts is that Shanker seemed a bit screwed. If it wasn't for w-dueck falling asleep at the wheel and Dikiyoba misidentifying someone, he would have lost. You can't really trust him because he could be trying to make you lose. In that respect, his victory condition and his abilities contradict heavily. Also, the Machrone role was rather easy. If it wasn't for most of the questions pertaining to my alliance with Gladwell, which I couldn't answer without blowing my allies' covers, I would have had it at Day 3. Come to think of it, a lot of people were asleep at the wheel this game. Xelgion somehow missed the widely-known bit that I was the Machrone, and bought my line that I was the Fae when asked about my role. w-dueck didn't use Skribbane a second time despite having it in his inventory since Day 3. Marlenny bowed out for a while and got killed. And Ackrovan thought he had a combat role... Other than that, I can't think of anything else.
  14. Out of curiosity, what were the answers to all of the questions? Also... wow. The Gladwell alliance really dominated this game. Anyway, good game to all, and may I just say, I'm simply happy that I won this round. At long last!
  15. I'm looking for Gladwell. Can Gladwell please contact me via PM?
  16. Item ideas. Scavenger Rat (30) - Digs up either an item or coins at the beginning of each day. Lizard Egg (30) - Provides a pet Giant Lizard when used. Anyone attacking you will fight the lizard instead. The lizard has a skill of standard and a physical attack. Lasts until killed. Radiant Plate (40) - When used, provides full immunity for 24 hours. During this time, you are rendered completely unable to perform actions, be it attacking, using other items, or even trading or buying.
  17. (double post) I've sent my report in.

  19. NAME: Nioca OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows XP Home E-MAIL (since, you know, you might want to send it to me ): [scrub] IS THE SKY BLUE: No.
  20. Astoria. Aside from what's already been said, there's the added benefit of two independent governments instead of a single government. If something goes wrong with one, as it inevitably will, it doesn't bring the entire world down with it. And even if war does break out again, the worst that can happen is that one side wipes the other out, which is pretty much what all the other factions do anyway. Furthermore, it's culturally productive, as ideas from one will seep into the other, and vice versa.
  21. Any zone that contains persistent DOT. Getting hit repeatedly and frequently by heavy fire/energy/acid damage you can't block against is not my definition of amusement.

  23. Ooh! With the coins, a role idea! Priest of Divine Lucre Nationality: Empire Skill: Stealth Attack: Physical Immunities: None Abilities: Can trade various blessings for coins. His various spells must be made in exchange for coins; he cannot freely bless, nor can he bless himself. His blessings are: * War Blessing: Grants the blessed status, giving a skill of power for 24 hours. Costs 30 coins. * Shielding: Grants the Shielded status for 24 hours, making the person physical immune. Costs 40 coins. * Haste: The target wins first strike for his next battle, be it an attack or defense. Costs 40 coins. * Poison Weapon: The target's attack is switched to Poison for the next 24 hours. Costs 50 coins. * Avatar: Grants the Berserk status for 24 hours, giving a skill of power and a guaranteed first-strike. Costs 60 coins. Goal: All Anama dead AND hold 70% of the game's total coinage. (Came up with it on the fly, so it probably needs a bit of tweaking)
  24. Originally Posted By: Xelgion Nioca, that list needs to be toned down in power, especially the conjourer. His job is to protect at least two out of four randomly selected roles. That means handing those creatures out to other players instead of keeping them on himself. Furthermore, if he did focus all creations on himself, all it'd take is one wand of death blast to knock both him and his guards out. Also, technically, any enemy attacking him would likely get first-strike, unless they hit the quickghast. So odds are greater that a creature will die in an attack than the attacker. Also, Divinely Touched is supposed to be powerful. However, it's a one-shot-per-game deal, and it has extremely high requirements (all factions dead, plus hold 60% of the artifacts in play).
