  1. That is a symbol of UBB being a pain in the rear. It's supposed to be an infinity symbol, but... meh.
  2. w-dueck's definitely not going to be able to get on for several-hour-stretches in the near future. Getting on for a few minutes seems to be a problem for him. So you're going to hit scheduling problems with him no matter how you play it. What's the best date we have right now (other than Friday)?
  3. Also... Tullegolar? Any word on the next session?
  4. Thought the stats were just for the World RP, did you? Guess again, because I've got... Click to reveal.. (Stats!) 5. You know what this needs? Stats! Click to reveal.. (Stats!) Spaki (Nalyd) was a rolling fool. No less than 36 dice rolls were made by him. That's more than double what Antonius (Dantius) rolled (15), and nearly half of the 80 total dice rolls made by the party. Laban (Excalibur) was more restrained, with a measly 1 roll. Critical successes were elevated for most of the party. 6% of all rolls were critical successes. Everyone except Laban netted a single critical success. Critical failures, in contrast, were incredibly rare: Only Sharrath (Bloodmoon) got one, making the total fumble rate a tiny 1%. Svvtck (Nioca) had the best luck with the dice, with an average roll of 12.75*. Only Sharrath (Bloodmoon) got an average roll under 10, though (9.63), and the party's average roll was 11.44. The party caused a total of 8 deaths. 3 innocents were killed because of us (1 by Spaki, 2 by Svvtck). And we took down 5 enemies (1 indeterminate, 1 shared kill by Spaki Antonius and Svvtck, and 3 kills by Svvtck). The honorable samurai sure seems to be leaving a trail of bodies... Shaacks (Ackrovan) has the best accuracy* within the group thusfar, landing 80% of his attacks. Alarmingly, this number shoots up to 100% whenever he aims for the groin. That said, everyone had better than 60% accuracy, with the party averaging 69%. My attempts to calculate hostile accuracy have thusfar come to naught, and it'll probably take another session to calculate it accurately. The party earned a total of 80 Lucre this session, and spent a total of 25†. *This isn't counting Laban (Excalibur), who technically got an average roll of 17.00 and an attack accuracy of 100%. He was omitted because he only made the 1 roll. †This counts the barter of the ninjasword valued at 10 Lucre. Disclaimer: These stats have been compiled entirely by hand. Small margins of error are to be expected, and some results are the result of interpretation. The compiling party waives any and all responsibility of damages, supernatural or otherwise, done as a result of reading these stats. Common side effects of reading these stats may include, but are not limited to: Dizziness, shortness of breath, questioning of faith, and pondering just how much time the compiling party has on their hands. Contact a doctor immediately if you experience hair loss, fatigue by proxy, or have a crisis of faith for longer than 4 hours.
  6. I go for #2. It makes more sense for Amadan to be there then in a peaceful settlement.
  7. Heh. You can tell Tullegolar went over the session log with an auto-replace: Quote: Shaackss "Shaacks! Who iss this "Shaackss"?

  9. Hey, don't knock it. With this thing, I can wake Shaackss up if he falls asleep again. Plus, you know, a team buff is nice. I wonder though, does the Loyalty benefits apply to me as well when I use it? I'm choosing it either way, but it'd be nice to be sure ahead of time. Finally, to save a lot of headache: spidwebRP Chat Redirect.
  10. Right now, I got to think ahead. Which ability will benefit us more down the road? While Aphorism might be more beneficial short-term, I think Loyalty is ultimately the way to go.

Anyway, the session can be found on my website here (Warning: inappropriate content). I will probably illustrate several scenes that were particularly awesome and maybe create character sheets later as well. So look out for those. Also leveling. The five people who stayed the longest get to level: Svvtck, Spaki, Shaackss, Antonius and Sharrath. This mean you get to choose one new ability for your class. New ability choices are as follows, each character please choose one of the three new abilities: Svvtck the Samurai: Loyalty (rallies your teammates, curing negative effects (not healing) and focusing their attacks), Aphorism (a single target heal ability), Raven (a useful flying familiar) Spaki the Necromancer: Boneshards (attack with a spray of sharp magical boneshards), Festering Wounds (causes great pain and damage to enemies), Slime Mold (a slime mold which can attack sort of or be eaten for health) Schaackss the Alchemist: Healing Potion (makes healing potions out of almost anything), Armor Potion (makes a protection potion out of almost anything), Spirit Potion (created a powerful random potion out of almost anything) Antonius the Magician: Salt Golem (summon a reliable but unintelligent minion), Familiar (a pet cat that is adept at scouting), Binding (hold your foes in place so they can't attack) Sharrath the Sorcerer: Dust Elemental (Summon a destructive elemental), Elemancy (control nearby simple elements), Solar Wind (a powerful blast of energy) Each person please choose one ability of the three presented. When you level again, new abilities along with the ones you didn't pick this time will all be available. Please don't try to influence the decisions that other make. Also, something else: while sleeping on top of the police station, a pigeon messenger arrives bearing a message from the Guild. The Guild Master has heard of your exploits and has awarded certain people with titles to correspond with their accomplishments. The people of Earth aspire to get titles like these their whole life, so you consider youself very lucky. They are meaningless except for the prestige that comes with having them, which can be meaningful to the right people. Three of you have earned titles: Outer Order Probationer, Master Svvtck Spaki Njordvald of the Nega Shaackss the Ingenius Titles stack, so you may (like Nioca) gain multiple stacking titles. The more confusing and convoluted your title, the more prestige is associated with it. I do not intend to reveal how you receive titles, but it does have to do somewhat with your actions, probably. Anyway, good game, all. Next time I post, it will be with a calendar for the next session and probably to tell you about all the great pictures I drew. So check for updates here and on my site for sure. Looking forward to the next session. It shall be epic, as always. -Tullegolar
  12. If you're on GMT, which you probably are.
  13. Well, the big session is today! Nikki (Dogperson Psion), Arancaytar (Catperson Conjurer), and Ephesos (Bugperson Shaman) still haven't named their characters yet.
  14. See, I always hated the power core. I'd always lose creations I had leveled up slightly, such as Cryoas. So I always tried to take the lab route.

  16. Any day with a start time from 6:00-9:00 PM EST time works for me. I can handle 5:00 PM EST, but then I might be a bit late. And later means I won't be able to stay for the whole session. AMEND: And yes, I'm interested.

  18. If that falls on 5:00 PM EST, I may be a little late. Otherwise, I'll be there.
  19. The BoE legend returns. Welcome back, Alcritas.

    DRM Question

The game has to be installed on your computer whether you have the CD or not. But having the CD is a nice back-up. Quote: Anyway, thanks for a bit of direction on this topic, but if there is a definitive answer to the DRM question it would be great to know it. (Slarty answered this better) If your definition of DRM is something that monitors hardware and will generally lock the product out if you copy or move it to another computer (or even on a few hardware changes), and is restrictive on how many times you can activate, then no. So long as you make sure to include the preferences file, you can move it to another computer. If it simply means something that ensures that you did buy the game, then yes. It's a simple registration code.
  22. I'd do it, but BoA and all of my parties are locked away on an inaccessible hard disk right now, so... yeah.
  23. AIM preferred here. I don't want half-a-dozen chat clients, and I'm not familiar with IRC commands.
  24. Times are in. Any time works.
