I think I went a tad bit too far...
Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas replied to Ninnuam's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
Seriously, what the hell do they think they're doing that late in the game, not able to take some high-level magic? -

I see my fear was well justified. -

Look at the text area of the screen when fighting it. It's shield will change colors. Purple means magic/lightning affects, red means fire and blue means ice. -

A4 - Frail + Brittle Bones
Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas replied to The Lurker's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
That's not true. I ended the game with a level 55 human with two disadvantages. Far ahead of the normal soloing rate (around 40-45). It's still not enough to make up for all the free skills, but it should be pointed out that only monster xp is lowered with level, not quest. -

And he's not the only one. On both accounts. As well as with A3. I really should get a copy of A1.

is this game worth playing

You can't ask someone their opinion and expect them to be right, you have to take the time to experience the game(s) yourself and decide whether or not it's worth registering afterwards. But hey, that's just what I think. And I'm usually wrong. How is that like acid? -
