Avernum 1 is the best so far. I do like 4 somewhat, but some of the interface stinks. I especially hate how i have to use the mouse so much more.

I will keep that in mind but i was not aware i was double posting. Is not double posting when you post the same thing twice? In any case i will use the edit button if that is how things are done here.

btw to change party order, go hit the train button. Then hit the change party order on the character sheet. It is under the spell points.

I had the same problem. It was not in the manual and it was not obvouis. I also had to spend 20 minutes figuring out how to skip a players turn. (although i finally found it in the documentation.) I think this should be easier to find in the docs for all players used to the old games.

I have to wait until day 110? If i do the alien beast stuff and win will that time based event still take place? I am only on day 80. I suppose i can ditch the horses and walk everywhere, but if the alien beast don't kill off towns like the rest now is the chance to go explore everything and do all the dungeons i skipped. Not to mention all the quest i have ignored and the arifacts i can now go and pick up.

Now that i eneded all the monster swarms except for the alien beast one, can i take me sweet time or do i still have to hurry? No spoilers please, other than the info asked.

Hi all. I just started a3, and it appears that getting brittle bones and total inept for my priest character is even better for a3 that it was for a1 and a2. I just did half the goblin caves and i am already lvl 5 (almost 6.) I again urge that if you want an easy time playing the game to use your priest with these stats. You can always replace him later when your other characters go up in level enough. (btw, i am playing the game at the hardest level.)

I just went into the tower of Elderan and on the top level quick fire was released. I ran and left the level, but when i came back i couldn't get that wall to open again. Is there anything important back there? I can see some space with the far sight spell so i was wondering if there was a item or spellbook back there.

Yeah, i know that magery doesn't increase spell points. I was just hoping that there was someone that taught mage spells to lvl 5 like in AV1. I was pleasantly surprised to get my fighters up to lvl 5 magic users for cheap. Oh well. better spend those skill points in now.

Yeah i found both of those. (or three).I guess i just better up my mage and priest skill to get those spell points.

Hi all. I remember solberg in AV1 taught mage up to level 5. Is there anyone who does that in av2? (don't tell me who, just if it exist.) And is there anyone who does that with the priest skill? My mage and priest are maxed out in their spells and intelligence is getting expensive. I want more spell points but i don't want to waste the skill points if i can train in priest and mage.

No way. If i even get the urge to solo i would just break out nethack. I play this game for the plot and the party dynamics. If i want a challenge, i will go back to nethack with all conducts again. (which is why i burned out on that game in the first place. 12/12 conducts is hard.)
