A4 - Questions, troubles and help needed
Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas replied to Darkdread's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
The lizardmen are called slithzerikai (sliths). The catmen are called nephilim. There are no sliths in between Fort Monastery and Fort Draco. There are nephilim. -
And make it do what?

The Athame is not being stored there. It does not exist in this game. If you hit all the control panels you should be able tou get into that room, though.

Even so, the Aramaic junk was a load of nonsense. It has no place in Christianity and a very small place in only one other widely practiced religion in the world, a.k.a. Judaism. And where did he get the "one true name" stuff from. The name "Satan" comes from the old testament, long before the name Lucifer was ever invented. Unless he is disregarding the phrases in the old testament all saying that the word of God is truth and cannot be changed in any way and that the old testament is the word of god, it's got no basis in any religion I've heard of. Which leads to another point. All the angels that have names are named in the Torah, according to the K'tuvim, both of which are part of the old testament. And even if it weren't mentioned, all angels that sit by the throne of god (as lucifer is said to have) have the suffix -el at the end of their names (eg. Gavriel Mikhael) which means god. -

Oversimplifying? He got all his so-called "facts" wrong! -

However, Lucifer is the one true name [albeit pronounced somewhat differently in English than in Aramaic, as with all Biblical names] for the Devil.) What have you been smoking? First off, Lucifer was never even thought of until Christianity came along and therefore has nothing to do with the Torah (the old testament). Where the hell does Aramaic come into that? It has nothing to do with Christianity at all. In fact, the only connection Aramaic has to Judaism, the father religion to Christianity was during the times of the Talmud (c. 700) after the Jews in Israel had been exiled to Babylon. Long after Christianity had sprung up. And second, there is no name given to the devil in the Torah. There is "HaMalach HaMavet" which is the angel of death, and "Satan" which is the angel used by god to sway people to disregard His laws, thereby giving them free will. -
Just throwing the thought out there in case you wanted a more difficult fight.

Geneforge 3 Trainer Windows +4
Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas replied to Pyro's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
1) No. It's called a Geneneforge 3 trainer for a reason. 2) One already exists. -
Yes. But if you don't kill the shades or turn off the controls in her fortress it's a lot harder.

Av4 Character Editor... will one ever be made
Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas replied to Horus's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
Sigh.... Please learn to read older posts before making comments like that. The software needed to run the editor. The editor itself. -

And what happened to Chevyn after that? -
Quote: begindefineitem 499; import = 0; it_name = "Apocalypse Knowledge"; it_ability = 223; it_level = 10; it_graphic_template = 50; it_graphic_sheet = 4; it_which_icon_ground = 10; it_which_icon_inven = 11; it_value = 999; it_level = 20; it_charges = 999; it_extra_description = -1; Is this a typo? Either one will overlap the other or you will get an error. Supposedly only skill points.

The difference between a level one spell and a level two spell is paltry. There is a difference, so when you have the chance don't pass up reading spellbooks. Buying extra spell levels is only useful if you have too much money. As for spray acid, I've never used it more than once per monster, so I have no idea.

A4 - Here are my work results!
Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas replied to Sahdrani's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
This would be very useful in creating specialized objects. Thank you. Some of the effects aren't useful in A4, by the way. Energy and health regeneration are nonexistant, as is dread curse and item lore. -
Go into your "Avernum 4" folder, then "Data". Select which save you want to delete. Delete all files except for the one entitled "temp."

No, it does not because there is no item lore in A4. Also, no you're not, you're selling for 25% street value and that's the way it's going to stay for the entirety of the game.

I assume that Micah's wife died of the manifold diseases and syndromes associated with prolonged cave-dwelling. I mean don't forget... Micah's dead as well by the time A4 starts. I know that Chevyn is an idiot but that just makes it easier for him to be manipulated. A group like the Darkside Loyalists could try to frame Starrus for a murder or make people think that Starrus isn't really Micah's son, then use Chevyn to challenge Starrus' rule and start a civil war. Most people in Avernum don't remember that Chevyn is an idiot. The Chevyn supporters could just say that all the rumors about Chevyn being an idiot was started by Starrus, who usurped Chevyn's rightful position as king of Avernum. Someone is seeing way too many conspiracies. EDIT: Stupid tags -
A4 - Help Demo Problem
Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas replied to Melmoth's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
You will need 15 tool use to pass the worst traps in the game. That gets reduced to 12 points to put into it, because there are gloves that give +2 and a necklace that gives +1. If you want you can wait until you find a tool use trainer, although this is highly discouraged. Tool use and the unlock dors spell stack. If you have all your tool use on a non-mage, you will not be able to open many doors in the game. -

Also, yet another side effect of luck I recently noticed, it increases your attack order in combat. -

No way to bash doors, the spell can be bought at Formello, 8 points is a good place to start your tool use, although only on a mage.
