  1. *clinks mugs with bhima* Right. Now if only Jeff would read this.

    Yes!

After a little reavaluation and reexplanation and reconsideration, my mother has finally allowed me to fight magical monsters and even use most spells myself. Basically, she was defered by the world "spell", which conjured up thoughts of debilitating cursed and cause exortism (is that the word?) inflicted on others, and it would with one of little RPG experience. She saw that many of them are none of the sort like that, just "tools" (as she called them) for inflicting damage on opponents or helping your party. The only spells she disapproves of are any that involve summoning or similar, because that (especially in the case of Daemon) are obviously making use of evil powers. But I'll take what I can get. I s'pose anything evil or not is okay to fight against, as long as you're against it. I'm quite overjoyed and think I'll start with Exile 1.
  3. Eh, don't mind the forum header. It's still new and rather ridden with minor errors. I see Revenge and River & Leaf are still on the same line.
  4. By definition, by being steel, it just gets 3 bonus. Crude or Stone - 0 bonus Bronze - 1 Iron - 2 Steel - 3 Magic - 5 Enchanted - 6[+?]
  5. I think Knowlegde Brew only gives you 2 skill points and a Strong Skill Potion gives you 8. However, Knowledge Brew can be made using alchemy, and SSPs and very rare.
  6. ixfd64, if you want brute power and ability to do stuff, play BoA. In BoE, it's more limited, but there is a lot more than can be done with a little creativity than you'd think.
  7. 32767? 15-bit? Why not 16 then? Even though, that's a lot of Death Arrows.
  8. I'll take it all the way it is. But a whole lot of health would be nice. What is the maximum health possible with the BoE engine?

  10. Looks like you've come up with some great scenario ideas! Now the only thing left is for you to make them into scenarios.
  11. If you can pick up some of those rare juicy 0-encumberance armor, that's the thing. A good breastplate is good for someone usually in the middle of melee, but not for everyone. A few blesses and hastes go a long way too. I once had a Magic Breastplate as treasure off of a Slith. ( ). Sold it for 2000 gold.
  12. Well, it seems that bonus in valued at MUCH more than level. Like if I have a 1-17+0 weapon and a 1-8+3 weapon, the latter will be valued much more, only the maximum theoretical damage is much lower. And then it ends up doing much more than 11 damage with a good hit. Kinda weird to me.
  13. I'll bet Gizmo's dictionary's definition for "nevermind" is "see 'never mind'".
  14. Sounds pretty good. I would suggest, however, some way to get some good web-resistant items.
  15. Basically, you get frustrated and watch your God party get eaten by a few weak little spiders, immediately close out the game, and post here to complain. But yeah, that can be annoying. Fear the spiders.
  16. Jenneke - I'm sure that's the most original one to date. Thissa - That one too. Frrrrrr - Don't know about the number of r's. Yet another original. Sturp - No girls in my party. Non-original name. D-Pliss - Feodoric sounded kind of weird for a Slith. Boomer - Good for my end d00d who is confined to using bashing weapons for everything.
  17. Never rely on the Spiderweb tables. There have been problems there before.
  18. That beta testing went pretty quick, if I do say so myself.
  19. If you're near the start, I'd recommend going to the healer in Silvar. Much cheaper than some of those other ones. EDIT: Oh, wait, that's Exile 3 however.
  20. But there wouldn't be much point even so, considering that it'll take a lot of having him kill everybody and everyone else just stand and bless him. That and I doubt it would work.
  21. Right. To put items in crates, barrels, or any other container, just dropping the item over them should do. If that doesn't work, click the 'Edit Item' button on the bottom right hand side, click the item, and make sure the 'Contained in Something' box is on.
  22. Explanation Basically, my mom decided one day that it was too un-Christianlike to play.
  23. I could probably do it, but only if it has no spellcasters (at least that cast spells) or need for a magic party. Well, I don't know. My brothers were allowed to play VoDT on BoA. No guarantees, though.
  24. Oh. Anyway, if you're going to do the job, you mays well do it to the best of your ability.
