  1. I suppose you mean, "Keep making more scenarios."
  2. More like the "Bodyguards" contest. (If you remember Tatterdemalion.)
  3. After I mentioned it to him, my 8-year old brother insisted that he wanted to suggest this on the message board. So here he goes: "Why don't they had a :all fighter senareo." In other words, he was wondering if we should have a scenario contest where all the scenario contained no magic. What do you think?
  4. Well, TM, you seem to have a review of just about everything at CSR. Your poor Mac must have had a workout playing all of those---and creating your own. And the title "Ultimate Ranking Champion." Cool. I'm still an apprentice.
  5. Same with me. I'm not sure if the scenario I'm working on will ever get released; I need to find some time to work on it. Maybe when I get my own computer...
  6. You've got a good point there. I doubt if anybody has played all the BoE scenarios completely through---I haven't. So....I guess we can start looking forward to new BoA scenarios instead, though I can't get it to work, yet. But there still has to be somebody working on a new BoE scenario. EDIT: Eh, that was not necessarily meant as a question.
  7. Now that AC3, part 2 is out, is anybody in the process of making a now BoE scenario, or is everybody either testing or working on BoA? (Or not doing anything.) I'm sure BoA will severely limit the number of new BoE scenarios released.

Shyguy, how much of the 1.5 MB is the actual scenario file? (Just wondering, as if you can split it up, it would be the scenario itself separated from the other files right?) It could very well be the largest scenario made for BoE. (Definately, if you include the first one.) But, I can wait until the scenario gets up for download on Spiderweb.

So, [btW, remember the original topic was AC3, but oh well] you get 171 towns in a scenario. Answered my own question. *ahem*, change that, Kel answered my question. I'll go further, though. Shouldn't we be able to get up to town 265, since BoE is a 16-bit application?

Wait a sec. 125 towns?! How many can you put on the scenario, because I've heard there's problems with more than 100. But Jeff says in the editor you should be able to get 200.
  11. That's an idea. But just how invincible is invincible with 5 points of luck? I think I'd rather use the 25 skill point a PC! on seemingly more important skills such as strengh and weapon skills. (I use an all-fighter party) But I guess you guys are right, I should use a lower-healthed party.
  12. You'd think that if you're going to use the party in a scenario where you encounter poison, disease, etc. early in the game, you'd want to start your party with a spare batch of HP. Either that or just not letting the monsters hit you.

    AC3

If I remember right, he asked for beta testers on the Lyceum awhile ago. It shouldn't be too long, but he did say it was going to be HUGE. Maybe that's why it's taking so long.
  14. I've seen guides and FAQs and the like, and each seem to disagree on how much HP to give a starter party and how much of the other stats. Mostly, I'm concered about health. Is it better to give an average party member as low as 6-10 HP, or would it benefit them more to start with 30-40 HP. Or in between. What are your opinions?
  15. Or you could create one very powerful NPC that helps you in only one or two important battles. (I guess Erika in E3 would be a good example, as she gives you the amulet.) That would be a good idea.
  16. Hey, this article will be really helpful! However, if I remember right, NPCs DID show up in outdoor encounters in Spears, so there's got to be a way to do. In the article, it says that it's nearly impossible to do.
  17. Spears and The Adventurers Club are two scenarios that have NPCs. If you haven't played them, you should, and then you'll see what I mean. (These aren't the only ones, either.)
  18. Hi again! In some scenarios, you can find NPCs to join your party. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good guide to create NPCs, if there's a simple and/or set way to do, or if NPCs are just a jumble of advanced noding that only some scenario designers know how to do and are keeping secret.
  19. Thanks for the advice, but it was not really what I was looking for. I'm wondering if anyone has any good ideas for a new (custom) race of monster similar to goblins, and especially if they know of a good, as TGM would put it, *graphic* for that monster, as the ones I try to draw are crude. I came up with the idea myself, though, of something called "bladebeasts" and then have different type, such as "bladebeast warroir," and more powerful "bladers." Good graphics for something like this would be very helpful also.
  20. It seems to me that any scenario designer for a starter party contain goblins, either in a experience dungeon, wandering monsters, etc. I was wondering if anyone has an idea for a good substitute for goblins---something as a new easy way to gain experience for a beginner party. Specifically, I'm wondering if anyone has or knows of some new graphics I could use for something of that sort. Also, I'm going to be going to Oregon for a couple weeks, or so, but I'll be back after that.
  21. All these are definately better grapic designers than me , but I'll have to give Luz my vote.
