  1. Well, if I've read correctly, it was a good scenario back in the time it was made, back in the time when scenario designers weren't near as skilled as they are now. So back then its rating was higher still. But I do agree, compared to the outstanding scenarios in existance now, IoB would not be ranked among them. TM needs to stay with BoE, in my opinion. (Of course, he will most probably me part of the great BoA migration, but at his improvement rate, he could put out a very fine product). Not that you already haven't, TM, but a designer can always get better.
  2. Quote: Someday you, too, can create grand wonderful adventures, even if you struggle at first. I'm pretty sure this is accurate for me. I just don't really have the computer time now to work on a scenario and I have a hard time finishing them as each town keeps getting better and I easily lose in some rather-ununique plots I've come up with (goblin tribe threating a town, yikes). But if I get going, I'm sure I could put out something at least a 3 or 4 class.
  3. Quote: What is the point of this topic? The point of this topic is to inform everybody that polls have been disabled here (and in general, too, and I don't know how many other forums). It also suggests a new method of creating polls as well as provides a valid poll to start a new topic. I would hardly consider it spamming, but if that's the way you want to look at it...>_<
  4. Do you think that polling should be shut down on this board? Choose 1: 1. Yes, it should be. 2. I don't care. 3. Definately not. 4. What do you mean? EDIT: I choose 3.
  5. My first post is still in existance, but then again, I wouldn't be considered an oldbie. BtW, what's the line between an oldbie and newbie? A certain number of posts?
  6. !!??!!??!!?? Er, news! No more polls on this board, as it looks like polling has been deactivated. Since when was this? Arrggghhh, I can't vote!
  7. Try that. EDIT: Urggghhh! The E-mail keeps bouncing back on me. Anyone else?
  8. Right. Alternately, you should try graphing all the Spiderweb scores in order of highest to lowest. Then the CSR line would be the jagged one (even more so, I'd say, than the SW line on the previous graph). Or even better, make a huge bar graph with two bars for every scenario, as then it should show the comparasin more accurate. But I'm still going by CSR scores.
  9. A whopping 3.9. Only one tenth of a point more than the envied Bandit Busywork. Congrats, Vince!
  10. Something I find interesting--Bandit Busywork is rated 4.0 at Spiderweb. It's rated 3.something at CSR, compared to Spiderweb's 8 if a comparable scale is used. Since Bandit Busywork was created by Jeff, I wonder if he just hafhazardly gave it a 4 so he could put it on the solid adventures table. Either that or a bunch of newbies rated it on the basis that it was the only non-default scenario they've ever played.
  11. Oh, okay, my guess was right. But what do you mean by 59/60 or 49/50. Does that mean sound 59 or sound 60 or what?
  12. Special node wise. I'm wondering how you can use nodes (or some other thing) to make the party "walk" e.g. Move, a second later move again, and then a second later move again. Do you just have to make a blank sound to fill the intervals, or what?
  13. And of course in some places the ratings are much more accuarate and/or different than others.
  14. Thanks. I'll have to try those out when I get hungry for a scenario to play. I have tried Band of Wanderers and did the first mission and rescued the nutty Nephil, so I still have to do the second. Right now, though, I'm elaborating on an idea for a new scenario (not telling what it is, though).
  15. Thanks, although the end battle should be the best part. Just another thing, you remember I can't play scenarios with goblins either. I recently started one of the scenarios mentioned in the other thread, "Back to Normal," and the first dungeon was a Goblin Cave. I don't know how many other scenarios are out there without magic, demons, or goblins, but there aren't very many, unfortunately.
  16. But God doesn't kill people just for fun, he does it is part of his plan for the world. And his plan is sinless and a persons isn't, so that doesn't justify someone going out and killing someone because it was part of their plan, either. Oh well, go back to your conversation; I'm finding it quite interesting.
  17. Well then he could create another universe and move the rock over there.
  18. Creator-Here's how I answer your question: If God can do other things that people can't even understand, why can't he do that?

The Philosopher's Stone--I'll bet this will happen at some point in real life, given the pace of technology. You just need to take some mercury, take a proton out of each atom, and viola! Gold! The interactive party--There might have to be some other way to do this. What if the person playing the scenario trains their party and gets more mage lore? Major bug. And, why, since these are your ideas, aren't you going to make a scenario utilizing them?
  20. Sure. I'll just keep myself occupied by posting here and talking to you guys.
  21. But (if this is the point you were getting at), I'd better not ignore my mom because...well...she's my mom. It's not worth not getting to play Exile at all.

I kind of figured it would be as soon as I got to the mainland. I'd have to fight magical monster too, no doubt. *siggggghhhh* Oh well, that mission isn't completely to win the scenario anyway, is it? Not that it will matter that much...
  23. I have trouble finding any ideas other than "this monster plague is threating the Empire, so kill them." So, if I could come up with a good idea, I'm pretty sure I could make a good scenario. But I guess I'll just have to wait until one pops into my head.
  24. Here's my party: And yes, I use a couple default characters. Jenneke-Human. Edged weapon user. Thissa-Slith. Pole Weapon user. Frrrrr-Nephilim. Archer. Sturp-Human. Edged weapon user and alchemist. D-Pliss-Slith. Another Pole weaponer. Boomer-Nephilim. Bashing weapon user and door basher. Jenneke and Sturp are ambidextrous, all have recuperation, and the other advantages are spread throughout the party. What do you say?
