You can't change your screen resolution to like 800x600 or 640x480. That would help a bunch. You may have to tinker with the program compatibility options.

Yeah, er, I'd make sure that all the proper directories are even there. For example, if a program was programmed to save a file in temp\save and there is no such directory, it's going to cause an error. But if you reinstalled the game and it still doesn't work, you may have ... I don't know ... some kind of virus or a missing system file? Any error messages, or does it just crash?

Most people register because they really want a game. And if you really want a game, you will be willing to pay for, no matter if you can get Halo for the same price or not. The enjoyment factor in most cases is similar.
