  1. ETS perhaps... I've started work on it (again). It was my idea before UV, and I put it off in favour of a larger scenario. I mean, I had made it, but it was AWFUL, so I deleted it. But now that I know more about what I'm doing... I might be able to do it. I mean, it's a lot smaller than KoV, and I might actually be able to get it done. - I'll think about it. I had considered giving up making BoA scens. - Archmagus Micael
  2. I suppose... Anyway, what's this mystery scenario called? - Archmagus Micael
  3. Also, do you really want huge blank pauses of nobody saying anything. You can set char_x to "" in the same block as setting char_y to "The World is mine! HAHAHAH!" - Archmagus Micael
  4. Like this: Code: beginstate 10; if (get_flag(1,2) == 250) end();set_total_visibility(1);force_view_center(25,38);force_instant_terrain_redraw(); pause(10); text_bubble_on_char(8,"Friends! This is a time of oppression!");run_animation();force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(15);text_bubble_on_char(8,"");foce_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(5);text_bubble_on_char(8,"The Elves have poisoned our lives,");run_animation();force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(15);text_bubble_on_char(8,"");force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(5);text_bubble_on_char(8,"They have destroyed our dreams,");run_animation();force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(15);text_bubble_on_char(8,"");force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(5);text_bubble_on_char(8,"They have dictated our lives!,");run_animation();force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(15);text_bubble_on_char(8,"");force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(5);text_bubble_on_char(8,"Now is our time to fight back!");run_animation();force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(15);text_bubble_on_char(8,"");force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(5);text_bubble_on_char(8,"This city is a symbol of our pain;");run_animation();force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(15);text_bubble_on_char(8,"");force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(5);text_bubble_on_char(8,"Only with Dark Alliegance can we");run_animation();force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(15);text_bubble_on_char(8,"");pause(5);text_bubble_on_char(8,"Destroy it.");run_animation();force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(15);text_bubble_on_char(8,"");force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(5);text_bubble_on_char(8,"Go now, and take revenge!");run_animation();force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(15);text_bubble_on_char(8,"");force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(5);set_character_facing(8,2);force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(10);set_character_pose(8,1);run_animation();force_instant_terrain_redraw();pause(5);force_view_center(22,38);force_instant_terrain_redraw();put_effect_on_space(22,38,11,8,2);run_animation();set_terrain(22,38,268);pause(10);set_character_pose(8,1);run_animation();while (x <= 24) { set_attitude(x,10);x = (x+1); } set_flag(1,2,250);place_monster(21,38,1);put_effect_on_space(21,38,11,8,2);run_animation(); break; - Archmagus Micael
  5. You need to put a force_instant_terrain_redraw call in every block. Like I did with mine. - Archmagus Micael
  6. For the text bubbles, you need to make them blank before the next talk bubble. Eg: Code: i = random_party_member(); text_bubble_on_char(72,""); text_bubble_on_char(i,"Okay, moved. Can you see better?"); force_instant_terrain_redraw(); pause(15); text_bubble_on_char(i,""); text_bubble_on_char(72,"Yes, thank you."); force_instant_terrain_redraw(); pause(15); After person A (char_72) speaks, there's a blank bubble of him before your PC (character_i) speaks. I don't know if this will help or not, but...
  7. It accepted it while I was still working on KoV. So it should accept it now. And if it wasn't the graphic, maybe it was just mum's XP computer... - Archmagus Micael
  8. I changed the name of the file to G2514, and got rid of all that excess white. (I think the white was the main problem, but if the others work with white, maybe it was the file number.) I can't believe I managed to fix something no-one else could! (though they could have with the picture, I have to admit) - Archmagus Micael
  9. Hows this? If this is how it should be, here's the code you will need: Code: begindefineterrain 474; clear; te_name = "Waterfall"; te_which_sheet = 2514; te_which_icon = 0; te_second_icon = 4; te_second_icon_offset_y = -55;te_ed_which_sheet = 504;te_ed_which_icon = 40;te_move_block_n = 1;te_move_block_w = 1;te_move_block_s = 1;te_move_block_e = 1;te_anim_steps = 4; And the picture you will need: - Archmagus Micael
  10. Quote: Originally written by Thralni, emperor of Riverrod: Thanks. How did you do that? is it the format of the file that makes the diffrence between appearing on the post or not? [/code] It depends. What format was it when you were trying to upload it? Have you tried this file without all of that excess white? I'll just start up a blank scen and see if i can get it to work. I'll tel you how it went in a minute. - Archmagus Micael
  11. Okay. So here's Thralni's problematic graphic: Hang on. Is all this white really there, or is this because of the method you used to convert the picture to a PNG? - Archmagus Micael P.S. It's Micael, not Michael.
  12. Also, Alwan is fairly helpful this early in the game, especially as when he "dies" you can just go pick him up again. He's in one of the rooms back at your school. He'll join you for the first island, even if you've told Litalia that you want to join her (a rebel). So, War Blessing helps, A thahd might be helpful, but if you get Alwan you can let him take the pain instead. Okay. Have a try... - Archmagus Micael
  13. I would presume 3 Drayks, as when I was fighting the Takers/Barzites the Drayks mauled me up more than the Drakons do. And while an Ur-Drakon has the ability to breathe on three hostiles at the same time (spray), it's only 1 creation, while 3 Drayks are harder to disable, plus probably do more damage. But then again, CryoDrayks are the best. - Archmagus Micael
  14. I joined the Anama the first time round. It makes the game slightly more challenging in places, but I really joined it for practically free piercing crystals, and the capability to cast Divine Thud. THere's nothing quite like calling upon the Gods to blast those pesky roaches into atoms. - Archmagus Micael
  15. What Shaper are you playing as? What Creations/Companions do you have - Archmagus Micael
  16. Okay. Email me the picture, and I'll post it up here for everyone else to see. It'll have to be in a format that Windows can handle, and which doesn't take too long for me to download. A Jpeg, PNG, or GIF should do fine. My email address: micael456@aol.com - Archmagus Micael
  17. Could you post the picture(s) (in jpeg format or something). Hopefully that will help someone (maybe even me) figure out what's wrong. - Archmagus Micael
  18. I was about Level 39 when I started. But that's cause I did a lot of other stuff first, and tehn when Geneforge 3 came out, I decided to just close in for the kill... - Archmagus Micael

I found that 1 Gazer, (upgraded to Eyebeast), 1 Ur-Glahk, and 1 Vlish made easy work out of the bad guys (easy-ish, coupled with my own destructive power. Ofcourse, that was playig onb Torment, and if i remember I had to drop the difficulty down to Tricky once or twice. - Archmagus Micael
  21. For Exile 3: Early on in the game: 1)Vahnatai Warrior 2)Vahnatai Mage 3)Wizard 4)Captain At the end of the game: 1)Pack Leader 2)Vahnatai Lord 3)Mad Monk 4)Empire Archer Oh well, seems like we're all pretty similar. - Archmagus Micael

Can someone help me on that? I got stuck on that about 2 months ago. I've forgotten the answer now unfortunately, but you might want to search through all of the old topics until you find it. Or you could just wait a few hours. One of the others should be able to help you. - Archmagus Micael
  23. Quote: Originally written by Niemand: I get the feeling that there is none, but does anyone know of a way to set the year in which the scenario occurs? I'm not sure if it will work, but putting a call that changes the day to "Day 366" or whatever will probably put it forward a year. The only problem is, I'm not sure how many days are in an Avernic Year... - Archmagus Micael

Steelskin helped a great deal. What kind of spell is best to fight the golem? I use acid spray and firebolt when out of energy. What are you? Agent, Shaper, or Guardian? - Archmagus Micael
