  2. I can't find her... I know this sounds SOOO lame, but I just can't find her tower... I've been as far west as to find that dragon (think she's called Sulfras or something). I've been to Akronath and those other random places, but I REALLY want to find Erika. She's supposed to be powerful (though not as powerful as in Avernum 3)... HELP! (Again) - Archmagus Micael I'll try not to make a habit of asking these really dumb questions, but I'm kinda STUCK!

  5. Quote: Originally written by Spring: From what I know, GF2 looks pretty good. I think that going off and exploring before you follow Shanti is good, as there are sometimes enemies and you get some good experience. I am currently in Drypeak Warrens, and my creation is a level 8 Artila. Get a Cryoa. Early on in the ame they can be quite powerful. If you don't know how: Train using the trainer in Drypeak Warrens until you have level 2, then read the tome in Drypeak Warrens (with all of the rogue Artillas). - Archmagus Micael
  6. Even if the Folders are there (save0, save1 etc.) check that they all heave that standard (empty) file: temp If that's not there, I've found it can lead to messing up your save slot... So make sure that they all have the temp file in them... Ofcourse, this is running a WINDOWS computer, not sure what you're running. - Archmagus Micael

But I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to these types of things. You have been to the ruined school - right? That gives away a major hint in it all (if you're still in the demo). - Archmagus Micael

Think of how the barzites are (I noticed you got GF2) Ofcourse, this is what I think, and after playing GF2 and GF3, it's a pretty good theory. - Archmagus Micael
  10. Is joining the "Scimitar" group any good? Cause when I first got asked by them to join and tehn to kill those Empire people in those Gremlin Caves, I was surprised. Empire in Avernum? I thought thatr happened in Avernum 2! Anyway, a simple question: Is joining the litle band of Empire-Exterminators any good for main game play? Or is it just a small side quest here and there? Thanks! - Archmagi Micael
  11. Agreed. Keep these graphics, and work on them. We need all of the fancy pictures we can get. Personally, I like it, even though I'm on mum's comp here (and her monitor's a tad bright) - Archmagi Micael

If yes, I'm really curious to know what. I know making a scenario should be of the makers fantasy, but I really don't know what to do. Well, if you're in a dangerous place, there's always some distraught family member who wants revenge or something. The Local Alchemist always wants some hard-to-get herbs. There's always a few bandits that need to be killed, which a local mayor would be more than happy to hire adventurers for. And then there's a whole host of other simple ones like this. As Dolphin said - what do you normally find in scenarios? - Archmagi Micael

  14. Yeah. That's what must have happened. It turned out I missed a crystal (even though I blew it up!), and it didn't work. Thanks for all of your help though. Well, I've destroyed the creator, now gotta go to those docks, and go to that Gull Island place. Is that any easier than Dohnal's island? - Archmagi Micael
  15. This is a poll, and you can state your reasons by replying to it. I just feel like posting these old boring polls for any newbies who missed the last time they were done. This is NOT asking which game you prefer, it is just asking which spell-system you prefer. - Archmagi Micael

I can't play Exile 1: Escape from the pit (the version off a shareware disk) at home anymore cause it's too old. So in answer to your question: I SINCERELY DOUBT IT! Sorry! - Archmagi Micael

It'l probably be right after my celebration topic! Oh, and GF is much much much better than Exile, even though I have Exile 3... - Archmagi Micael

Of course, the nearby towns and dungeons are still unaccessible to unregistered users, and there's still the North Barrier, but other than that, the giant lands are free to be roamed. This area's pretty useless anyway if you can't enter the towns. They make up most of the story in this area. All you can do is Random Fighting. It's much better in the full version! - Archmagi Micael

Then I ran out in COMBAT mode as fast as I could (using a speed pod). This was before I had any of the spells like I do now (MASS ENERGIZE! HEHEHEHE!) so I couldn't stand the pain. But I'm trying for the Creator now. Anyway, it doesn't really matter. I made it through the mountains, I saved, and then killed that really arrognt guardian (then I loaded again). I'm now ordering General Greiner's troops along with my help to shove back and destryo any of teh rogues in my path. Anyway, thanks for all of your help... even if it wasn't very helpfull! - Archmagi Micael
  20. It's got a much simpler spell system, creation system and stuff. It's the smallest of the lot, thought it more than makes up for it with game play. Because of the fact that it as the first in the series, it had to be excellent, so to hook us all into this new series. It worked. It has a LOT more detail than GF2 definitely (not sure about 3), and is just plain old fun. It's a classic! I remember when it first came out I couldn't play it cause my computer was such low specs. Then when we got AoM for a Christmas present, our computer was upgraded to handle AoM, and we could play Geneforge. I loved it. I'm going to get it one of these days, but money's running short. SO in short: DOWNLOAD THE DEMO, AND ENJOY!!! EDIT: Dolphin Beat me too it! - Archmagi Micael
  21. I haven't personally tried this, but if it's just this one town causing the problems, why don't you just import the version 1.0.5 town over the 1.0.6 town. Then whichever item's causing the problem will be gone... EDIT: Kel...? - Archmagi Micael
  22. QUESTION: Is it possible to speed up the rate in which it scrolls along the map. At the moment I'd rather use the Standard editor to make things because of the speed in which I can do things. When you are playing around with different things all over town, it helps to have some speed to it... I'm sure i'm not the only one who's noticed this! - Archmagi Micael

  24. Thanks! I've got the Hint-Book, but I definitely think this is a good effort. Are you going to make separate sub-pages like your Geneforge 1 one? - Archmagi Micael
  25. It works on my computer, I downloaded it to check. They work fine. Anyway, you don't need to cheat to win. Just play on torment! - Archmagi Micael
