It's the fact that you appear not to proofread any of them, and you desperately need to. I am not saying that every one of your posts should contain immaculate spelling and grammar and be punctuated and paragraphed as if it were a published work, but I am suggesting that you make a good-faith effort to make it easier to read your posts. After you write a post, go back through it and check for basic spelling and grammar. If you prefer, copy the post over to Word (or your text editor of choice) and run a spell-check there. Make sure that you haven't said anything that doesn't make sense even to you. Make sure that you haven't repeated yourself about three or four times. Add paragraph breaks to separate huge masses of text, but not so many that it looks like you think you're writing poetry. If you do this, your posts will be far more readable, and people will take you more seriously.
  2. Ah, of course. I'd never noticed that those two words were the same before.
  3. Your current name confuses and confounds me. "As therefore I am," in mixed Spanish and Latin? Google gives me nothing.
  4. Terrain scripts can run between every character's step, which would fix the extra AP problem. Of course, if you used a terrain script to do this (and then something in the scenario's START_STATE to supplement it), you wouldn't be able to do anything about the outdoors. I'm not sure if that helps at all, though.
  5. It's much the same as for, say, Avernum 3. Instructions for that are found here , at the bottom of the page. Also, please do not double post. Instead, when you need to add new information to the same post, edit the post.
  6. Duplicate creature sounds pretty similar to copying and pasting a creature, which you can already do. Is it different somehow?

I swear that they were at one point. Amazingly enough, they display properly on the automap in the game, as you can see in Exodus anywhere there's vahnatai floor. They just don't display in the editor. Quote: The editor just doesn't bother to check and display which script this is. Come to think of it, it would be nice if the editor did bother to display this, although it's not critical. One other thing: on pretty much all the dialog boxes that pop up in the editor, the text cursor starts at the beginning of the line, and it would be more convenient if it started at the end (to ease deleting whatever the default thing is). It would be even more convenient if the text started highlighted, like a normal box, but eh. Lazarus reminded me: as a possible alternative, simply being able to cut and paste creature scripts would be nice.
  8. Diki: Try the "set height" button by the spray cans.
  9. I am entirely confused, but I think it's fair to say that the question that was originally asked in this thread was answered, and there's not much more to say. Play nice.
  10. Oh dear god the eyedropper would be fantastic. If you give me a few days, I'm sure I could come up with a couple more.
  11. I do use the fill rectangle button, but not the other. There's an empty space left between "place force barrier" and "clear space," too.
  12. What do I tell Brother Alf? I've already talked to him ad nauseam and couldn't figure out if he has anything important to say.
  13. Scrolls and fishing, you say. I can't even find how to start those things.
  14. Gah, I can't finish a single scenario without asking for help, I think. I've now set the table for the feast, and I think I'm also supposed to make some food for the feast. I can't find the recipe book, and I can't tell if I even really have to be doing this. I'm lost. What am I actually supposed to be doing in this scenario?
  15. The Okarion fight is baffling me. I can't tell if I'm doing anything, and he seems to kill me rather faster than I can heal myself. EDIT: Ach, well, I cheated my way through the darn thing, but it would still be useful to know what I was supposed to do.
  16. Okay, new, separate problem (hence the double-post). I'm in Okarion's Tower. I've pretty well searched the bottom three levels (except a few unopenable doors). When I go to the fourth level and try to move forward, I get a message that it would be bad to approach Okarion without any defenses. What do I do?
  17. Direct further discussion to this thread.
  18. Yes, there's a combat block, but even when I end combat and walk over to it, nothing happens.
  19. I step on it and nothing happens.

If I'm not mistaken, it came from the Arena, which was a very long-running RP that ended up, in its final incarnation, on Desperance. It shows up in TM scenarios at least, and perhaps others.
  21. BoE actually had a special node to make it possible to walk through things that weren't walls, like trees or rocks; using a wall in place of a tree would look quite odd. Yes, it's easy to make a special terrain to substitute, which is what Ishad Nha suggested, if you read carefully.
  22. I'm in the Hand of Water Sanctuary, and it's flooding. My vahnatai and slith friends just drowned, and I'm supposed to go somewhere to avoid death. Where do I go?
  23. Just writing a guide for porting is useless. If you want there to be more ported scenarios, port something yourself.
