  1. My thoughts on linking GF and Avernum: No to the power of infinity.
  2. One mistake I made in GF 3 was absorbing both my old fyoras to free up essence for a cryoa. Both fyoras were of a higher lvl than the cyroa was.

Although the result is a horrible abomination and likely to get peasants and serviles storming your castle with torches, it's got the extra wiggly bits that are so useful for those complicated mechanisms. Every mad scientist needs a torch-bearing mob once in a while. It's a good way to unwind.

  7. Quote: Originally written by Drakefyre: Well, since you're not a Shaper, the classes have to be different. Well yes, that was why I was asking. I am wondering if the same sets of strong/medium/weak skillsets will just be applied to renamed classes. I would also find it very neat if there was an infiltraitor class that paid less skill points for mechanics, leadership, and luck.
  8. What about character classes? Are there going to be new classes with different strong and weak skillsts, or will the same classes be carried over from previous games? I like the new weight system, btw.
  9. I call BS. There's no announcement of a beta opening on the news page.
  10. I would like a new catagory of magic separate from mage and priest spells. Perhaps bloodmagic, which takes health points to cast but it more powerful.
  11. Perhaps the same as you have to do in GF1, but the exploding runes make it very hard to do.
  12. Bah. After using the Geneforge, my shaper could have 6 drayks at his command. Sholai guards can't match that.

Yes, and this was something I raised in my beta reports. There are an inordinate amount of offensive spells and "shielding" spells. I'd prefer a group haste, group bless, and more disabling spells. Slow/web/paralyze/sleep etc. Agreed.
  14. Quote: Originally written by Student of Trinity: What creations do you have? For a shaper, this is the crucial point. With half a dozen Artilas, and War Blessing, that boss shouldn't be too much trouble. Add a Speed spore for good measure and it should be easy. Half a dozen artillas would take much more essence than a shaper would have at lvl 9. I did it with 2 fyoras to chip away at the creator, a thadh to keep the spawned worms away, War Blessing, and speed spores.
  15. Would the meat of a baby ornk be veal?
  16. You know what else I'd like? A freaking light spell, or candles/torches/lamps/etc. A4 is bad for my eyes.
  17. Or if you clicked the square next to the enemy instead of on the enemy. I want the classic Avernum targeting.
  18. *slurps down some canisters* I like being a power-mad Geneforge abuser. Seriously, in GF1, I was an utter bastard. I betrayed the Awakened, betrayed Trajkov, double-crossed Goettesch (in all fairness, he double-crossed me first by refusing to share power with me after I'd killed Traj for him), used the Geneforge, massacred the Obeyers because my glowing madness made them uneasy, and then broke the Geneforge to keep anybody else from using it. I left as much destruction in my wake as possible and was much perturbed when the same factions I'd slaughtered returned for GF2.

You too bigfix, whoever you are. This isn't English class. However, you should be considerate enough to write your posts in a manner others can read.

  21. Personally I would prefer a supporting creation, similar to the Augmented Vlish in GF2, that could heal or somehow else help your own creations while having a fairly weak attack.
  22. Quote: Originally written by Khoth: I won't be surprised if they unleash horrors that wipe out entire regions Mmmm, sexy.
  23. What about the hungry creations? Too scrawny?
  24. I've probably said this before, but I want potion making back, and also made more useful. For example, in addition to the stock healing/blessing/curing/whatever potions, you should be able to make poisons and acids to apply to your weapons, or exploding potions useable as weapons.
