Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Nethergate is liked by a small few. It has that great elevation in the landscape that make Avernum fun, It's got some great ideas that just weren't popular with most gamers and the interface has a few problems. Jeff has fixed most of them for Nethergate: Resurrection. At least enough to please most Avernum fans.
Understated Ur-Drakon Sudanna
Sorry to resurrect, but will Nethergate: Resurrection's scripts and such be more easily edited, like Avernum and Geneforge's?
Well-Actually War Trall Emperor Tullegolar
It will use the Blades of Avernum engine. So it won't be like Geneforge or Avernum 4. But the scripts should still be just as editable. Hopefully, though, it will come with a character editor so we don't need to worry about such things. Understated Ur-Drakon Tyranicus
BoA engine = Character editor and editable scripts. There could be advantages to editing scripts that the Editor won't do. For example, giving Romans Beast, Craft, and Spirit Circle points and giving Celts Roman Training and Tool Use. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Make the game harder for Torment level since Jeff hasn't done so for some areas. The character editor is pretty much the same as from old Nethergate at least from the player's viewpoint. I guess the technical details are different. Understated Ur-Drakon Tyranicus
Another advantage of viewable scripts is that SDF and special item numbers can be found.
Unflappable Drayk John S
New question: will there be a large gap between releases for Macs and PCs like other Spiderweb games?

Magnificent Ornk nikki.
New Question: If scripts are editable, can somebody please make up a suitable use for the puzzle box? Your reward will be exclusion from my list.
Seasoned Roamer DevilinDupriest
I just saw this! Nethergate: Ressurection! Can it be true?!? *Squees all over himself* Yayness! This entire idea is full of win! *goes off to start saving his pennies* Although I do worry about translating the Nethergate worldmap to BoA. The worldmap was awesome in Nethergate. I will be happy about the more refined user-interface though.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
I'm not sure what world map you mean. The outdoors? It's still there in all its Nethergate goodness except for a few minor but nifty alterations. —Alorael, who really thinks the only loss from the original Nethergate is the level system or lack thereof, and it was, as Jeff noted, amusingly broken. Seasoned Roamer DevilinDupriest
Aye, the outdoors. I dunno, somehow in Nethergate it just had a completely different feel than it ever did in Avernum. I dunno if that was an effect of the scale, or the outdoor encounters, or what, but it was something I distinctly felt. Oh! And the character screen art. That was some brilliant stuff. Easygoing Eyebeast Xaiya
Quote: *Squees all over himself* Not as bad as spewing fire in glee, and almost buring Andrew's house down (notice this is Infernal Flamming Muffin). Anyway: I never played Nethergate, so I am excited for this renewal. Edit- Ubb typo Edit2 -typo
